One way ticket and triple entry visa's

Hello, I'm applying for a triple entry visa to Thailand from the USA.I have a one way.ticket from LA via Malaysian Air.I have posted this question on another forum but there is so much controversy about this onward ticket with a Visa. I just don’t want the hassle with the airline check in people or the Thai officials at the BKK airport. My 180 day visa stamp will expire Feb12-2014 .Please remember “I realize I don’t need a onward ticket with a triple entry tourist visa”,but I’m thick headed .My question is I want to purchase a cheap onward ticket out ,should I book it for just before the end of the first 60 days or before the end of the 180 day visa stamp? Please only serious comments.

    You don't need one.
    Fact.

You have a visa, only visa exhempt entries require an onward ticket.
But if you want to buy one, you can buy it for departure at any date you want.

One way Air tickets in Thailand

Regardless of the visa requirements look really hard at the price of your ticket out of Thailand if purchased in Thailand. I have lived here for six years and have found the price of long haul air tickets brought in Thailand is considerably higher than the same ticket purchased elsewhere regardless of which currency you use. I am always told rightly or wrongly discounts do not apply to tickets purchased in Thailand. Brian Stocks

500 Baht a day, just paid a one day overstay about a week ago, to make matters worse the Thai embassy was closed the next day, so the wife got stung for 200 Baht overstay in Lao. Can't win, need to buy a calendar. Jim

You do not need an onward ticket when you have a visa in your passport, it is only really required when you arrive on a VOA visa on arrival.

The Immigration are well aware you will be spending plenty of time in LOS
