    Buying Re-Entry Permit at Airport

I read a while back that you can now buy a re-entry permit at the airport. Has anyone done this? I'm going to Malaysia next month and hate to waste a trip to Pattaya Immigration, but I'm also afraid to show up at the airport and find the re-entry permit desk closed.

Don't know about you, Bob, but I get nervous about shit like this and like to have everything in order rather than leaving it to chance. I suspect you are the same. I would suck up the pain rather than take the chance, unless I was pretty damn sure it would work.

Try to get it before bob, the consequences of leaving and losing your valid visa and then starting all over is just not worth it. Unless it can be clearly confirmed that it can be done at Swampy.

Thanks for the help. Yes, going to Immigration is better than dealing with the anxiety all the way to the airport. Thank you again.

^^You already knew that - just needed a push. And, per ^, correct choice!

Yep, I'll be in line at Pattaya Immigration. I should have just bought the multiple, this will be my 3rd single since last June. last time I hit the place on a bad day and was there for almost 3 hours.

Thank you again for the responses.

I have done it three or four times in the last year and there is never a problem. Another bonus is that there is a special immigration desk you can use after, which means you don't have to queue up if it's busy.

    Go to Immigration

Last year I thought that and, as it was buddha day before I left thought I would get it at the airport. When there was told it had been closed and they cancelled my visa. Then had to get a new non-B overseas then get the normal B visa again when I got back. Big hassle and more baht lost. NOT worth it.
