    BB is watching you.

Sorry if this has been posted before but
I went to Immigration for a 30 day extension of my multi entry tourist visa the other day and got pinged 800 bht (400 bht per month) for not registering the GF's address within one week of arrival.
If you stay at hotels etc the onus is on them.
I knew there was some sort of a regulation about that but it's never come up before in any of my previous trips.

    Another crack-down?

    Nothing universal.
Guaranteed that particular regulations/policies will be looked upon, applied, and enforced differently from one situation to the next.

This doesn't look like a crack-down to me. It looks like you were fined for not filling in the TM30 change of address form, some offices are very strict about it. 800 Baht isn't too bad, it's normally B1600

Nope, not a crack-down at all.

I've been fined twice for that at my local immigration centre over the years.

But, like you, it was when I went for an extension for my Visa.

Given it is not you who is liable under the law I rather think the Thai will have been pleased at your generosity.

You got that right but I suppose they assume it is the falung who always pays.

Put her hand in her own pocket?

She has to take it out of mine first.

After all, what's mine is hers and what's hers was mine.
