    Chong Chom visa activation

I have to do a border run next month and Chong Chom is the closest and the girl likes the market.
I'm on a multi entry (6 month) tourist visa will have been here 3 months already. (1st 60 day entry and a 30 day extension)

Has anyone used Chong Chom lately and what advice would you offer as to paper work, re-entry permit, money etc.

    Thanks in advance.

If you already have the visa for second entry they are all exactly the same. The paperwork will be none and the fee will be nothing (you've already paid for the visa in advance).

The only fee/paperwork you would encounter would be whatever Cambodia charges for entry and whatever they want you to fill out. I'm sure its not much in either case. Looks like $30 US for the crossing into Cambo

GET ur VOA for Cambodia, give them a $10 & $20 bill, 1 photo and ask for the voa application dont say anything else ( or u will fall prey to "you must pay.....") if u only have Thai baht expect to pay 1,500. Dont forget to than go to immigration and be stamped into Cambodia
come back to Thailand and be stamped back in for 60 days

Make sure the U.S. dollar bills are clean, crisp, and unmarked, as they would rather get the B1500 and will reject marked bills.

If you hand them $30 as Phuketrichard say's you could have a long wait , they are not happy taking $ but I know people that do and they normally offer $35.
When I go I pay 1500 baht and if you want to go straight back to Thailand you will have to pay an extra 300 baht on entering Cambodia .IMO just pay what they ask and you will be in and out in under 15 minutes...don't do as they ask and you will have a long wait and any protest's you make will just fall on deaf-ears
Coming back into Thailand is simple, just fill in the Arrivals card and get stamped back in but check the date stamp before you leave the office just to make sure they have given you 60 days .

    Thanks for the info guys.

I think I'll go Boloa's way and hopefully in and out before the missus spends too much at the market.

    cheers

Once you have gone through Thai Immigration walk across to the building on the right in the photo above.
Go to the first window and ask for a Visa form. Fill it in and hand it back with 1 passport photo and 1500 baht. Wait a few minutes until they issue you with a visa and then move along to the next window to get your arrival stamp. The Immigration Officer will ask you if you are staying or going straight back to Thailand . Tell them you are going straight back and you will be told there is a 300 baht charge. ( so have the right money ready ) Once you are stamped in go across to the Building on the left of the photo and get an Exit stamp.
Then head back to the Thai Immigration Office on the left ( as you head back ) ,fill in your arrivals card and hand it in with you passport at the booth .As I've said before check the date stamp before leaving as they sometimes get it wrong .
You should be able to do this in 15-20 minutes...good luck

can you still do the online visa - where you fill out the details and pay the money via credit card and then print it out , thus saving your passport from the one page filling sticker ?

An e-visa will only be accepted at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh airports, Koh Kong, Poipet (from Thailand), and Bavet (from Vietnam).
