Got a bit more than just a random degree and a TEFL- put it this way, the job offers aren't from some random cram school. Hong Kong still appeals- finished the NET application- now I just need to find a working fax machine. Seems a little quirky that it can't be sent by email in this day and age, but there we go!. The turn off for mainland China for me is the pollution. I love to spend time outside in my free time. Heck, at work if a lesson would be made more interesting by having something active outside, I'll do it.
The offer from Japan is actually a forest school, so it's a little different from the regular teaching gigs out there. Good PD opportunities in Japan, in Kurdistan they are very limited- you get an allowance to attend workshops overseas.
