Bow down to your corporate masters.

I am sure that you and the boontard are fast friends.

Well bsnub....I've never really though of myself as all that "rightwing" but if being a realist and adhering to common sense makes me a rightwinger then I must bow to your conviction.....

You see us rightwingers understand that "corporations" are made up of people....shocking I know....maybe you should sit down for a minute here......
Even those awful banks are full of people....some of them earn big money, most of them do not. Successful corporations sometime make big profits....which they frequently distribute to......wait for it.....people. The people who get these dividends (from the awful corporations) then spend the money of stuff made by other awful corporations which employ more people....and so on and so on.
The people who benefit from all this excess money making are that awful breed generally referred to as investors. Nasty people who believe in the system and buy into it with their own money....hard earned or not.

Now as a diehard leftie you may not understand that you too can actually buy into these outfits and gain untold benefits from their excesses. If you think oil companies are making obscene profits....buy oil company stock. It's really true....I tried it myself years ago when I was not making any great amout of money, but I was convinced that I should make a small sacrafice and buy some bank stock.

It was terrible seeing my peers buying new cars, snowmobiles, designer shoes and all kinds of stuff that I could not "afford" at the time because I was squandering a good portion of my "disposable" income buying into those facist led, greedy, unethical corporations that are hell bent on destroying the planet and grinding down the poor working man while they make all the things that all of us....regardless of political belief actually need and use every day. This is risky business....they don't always go up you know.....sometimes they come down....sometimes a lot; but over time if you are patient and keep your rightwing brain working, you can in fact build up some wealth, retirement income and all kinds of good things.

The alternative is to work in some factory, getting a good paycheque....stay there for 25 years and then get fired when the factory gets moved to Vietnam. You have been paid for every hour and day you worked there, but you did not save or invest a nickle.... cause the government will take care of you....right.??? You don't bother to save or invest, because the Marxist indoctrinated teacher in highschool convinced you that wealth is something that comes from the government and that you are "entitled" to a piece of it, regardless if you earn it or not. Investing is for wealthy greedy people who just want to exploit the poor workers.

Now one of the hiccups that occured in the system, is that the poor workers became a tad greedy too. They formed big powerful unions that "negotiated" wonderful pay and benefits for the workers. What they failed to recogize is that the employers (corporations) are in the business of making things for profit and once the labour component of their cost structujre gets too high, they move somewhere else, or invest in more automation to reduce the workforce.
The simple fact of the matter is that labour is just another commodity that is subject to supply and demand fluctuations. It is also subject to price, in the sense that once the price demanded is too high, the buyer will decline and find a better price somewhere else. Did the unions and their members really believe that General Motors could keep paying them twice or three times what their labour was actually worth indefinetely? Apparently they did. It's another one of those quaint left wing notions that gets us into soooo much trouble....

No matter what "system" you live under, you are ultimately responsible for your own success. and welfare. Socialist, Communist and Capitalist economies have failed over the years. Citzens of the Soviet Union were wiped out when their system collapsed. We are watching the current failure of socialist economies across southern Europe....having to be bailed out by their more industrious neighbours. If they fail; then their citizens too will lose their government benefits, government pensions and much of their dignity. The citizens of those countries that have had the foresight and savvy to invest in a diverse market and not rely on the socialist bullshit that the general populations have been weaned on, will survive just fine. The rest may well be eating dog food. That as they say...is how the cookie crumbles.

I see that you live in Seattle bsnut....a city I know quite well. I had some good friends out in Renton and that area. Seattle, is I belive the most "educated" city in America in that it has more degree holders per-capita than any other city.
It is also a democrat stronghold and tends to be quite leftist in general.

I find that quite ironic in view of the fact that the whole area's economy is dependent on very rightwing capitalist corporations.....like Boeing, Microsoft, etc.
Without these corporations and their capitalist rulers and investors, your city would be a depressed garbage dump and you would all be living on minimum wage.

Do you lefties really have a clue where your bacon is earned...who pays the bills... where all that local wealth comes from???? Hint....it's not the government...

Now you have sent me two reds already......just for expressing a different point of view, but I have not sent you one yet....I'm not a vindictive rightwinger you see and I don't feel the need to be childish about it..but I'm getting awful tempted...

Oh..one more thing...as Columbo used to say... I don't know Boon Mee. Never met him and he has no idea who I am. I think for myself and it appears he does as well. He seems to be doing an excellent job of keeping the TD communist party wound up... I'm actually very independent as far as pocitics and social policy is concerned. I think some socialist parties in some countries have good ideas and it puzzles the hell out of me why so many otherwise rational Americans have this almost hysterical opposition to socialized medical care. I've live in three countries that have it. UK, Germany and Canada.

It works very well most of the time and has not bankrupted anyone. It is a significant financial burden but if any political party ran for election on a platform of dismantling it....they would be luck to get 1% of the vote. Like any system it can be abused, and it can be inefficient at times, but overall it is far better than what a great many Americans have....I swear. It's not charity....it is paid for by premiums charged to all citizens who participate. The risk is spread over the whole population so the premiums are much lower than private insurance (which is still availabe for those that want to pay for excess coverage) and the coverage is far better.

Shit....now somebody's gonna call me a communist.....
