Benefits of serving your country? I seem to remember how well the Vietnam vets were treated on their return home, especially in hippie California, and most of those troops were conscripted.

The tea partiers are not KKK (you know, that racist group started by Southern Democrats). It's already been documented that the left is encouraging lefty radicals to infiltrate the tea parties and cause trouble to make the protests look racist and nasty.
Breitbart is offering a reward to anyone who can provide video footage with confirmed audio that shows tea partiers screaming "nigger" (hey, and not even 15 times) and intentionally spitting on the congressman. Accusations I believe rahm dead fish suggested the black reps make. Stuff like that stick in people's heads, even when not true.
For comparison, watch some Arizona anti-immigration bill protesters throwing bottles at policemen.

Honestly, I think the title of the OP is misleading.

If there is no evidence that that a certain percentage of Tea Party protester/supporters are members of the KKK but "not wearing hoods" then it's fair to change the title in some way.
