Now that Great Britain is leaving the EU the promise to Leave voters was that Brexit would legalise weed.
Hope these politicians keep their word, knowing that it would save billions in the money being spent for imported weed.

Link? That's the first I've heard about that and I can't find anything anything online saying anything along those lines. I know UKIP have said something along those lines but it'll be a long, long time before thay have enough MPs to push that one.

Seems like we have accepted putting stimulants through our systems as normal activity.
But for me if all this does go ahead and weed is legalised then there has to be downsides.
We can say it is less dangerous than alcohol or heroin, meths, nicotine.
but the biggest danger is; who controls,

does the user control or does the substance control the user ?

If the substance controls the user then psychological problems will develop later on in life.
So if its readily available without hassels then yea i could see problems.
Especially with kids getting hold of it.

Comparing with legalised substances that aren't as harmful doesn't mean weed is without
    problems.
If we accept that some need substance to act/operate then a slippery slope ain't far off.
Being in control of weed is nice with usage once in a bluemoon.
But regular use , i'm not sure.

Being fit gives the biggest high and is more sustainable in handling everyday obstacles.
Where as weed is kinda anti-work, chill out scenario.

    Thought i'd slip this in,

    Careful what you wish for.

Oh yea. But folk get upset if the man doesn't show up.

If church shuts down just get on ure knees.

    Dependency we can do without.

But i have the feeling religions don't cut it any more and weed is an instant path to the holy but then dependency is only around the corner and holy becomes fkd up.
and something stronger will look interesting.

Moving around looking for next turn-on religion or substance pretty much same game.
Moving from what i am to what i prefer/should be,,, off my head. closer to god.

    bla bla land non-sense.

Depending on whatever for happiness, you only in the end get unhappiness. fkd-up.

I have no doubt it is an addictive dangerous drug as I have seen people right off their heads with the stuff who couldnt even stand unaided and didnt even know where they were. Yes I know booze can do that as well but that doesn't mean dope or any other drugs should be legal.

I helped bury a brother in law who was right into the stuff, lost his job and would rave and rant and finally hung himself.

Making it legal makes it freely available to young people and tells them its OK to use it, which it isnt.

As far as I am concerned I see deliberately sucking pollution into your own lungs as abject stupidity, that goes for tobacco as well.

I know it is not - I smoked pot regularly since I was 17 until I went to work in singpore for an extended period - and I stopped without an issue

I have not taken it up again as there are too many times I get tested in my industry and it is not financially worth the risk - many time I have been tempted , but decided not to - I will just have to wait until I retire

    Yes physical disease.

But the psychological dependency on happiness seems to be getting, or escaping from the mundane. If that's the right word.
Spending half your wages to get there on stimulants.
Using half your energy to pay for happiness that can destroy a guy slowly.

We may as well throw the towel in.

The illusions of religion offer something out of this world in this life
when we should be able to enjoy this life without them.
They have failed so we go looking elsewhere.

When all the time it is in front of our noses. But we are blinded by the bs/fkd-up control from above. Authority over mind and what to think.

And this controlling business is getting right out of hand around the world.

Take back control in your own life.

Plant the seed of good and it will grow. slowly though.
    it ain't like instant coffee.

Some other initiatives in this election.

    California says yes.

Still waiting on results in other states.

    These States Just Legalized Marijuana

Here are the results of the marijuana ballot measures

Marijuana was on the ballot in nine states on Tuesday: Voters in four states—Florida, Montana, North Dakota and Arkansas—were asked to cast their votes on medical marijuana initiatives, while voters in five others—California, Nevada, Arizona, Massachusetts and Maine—were asked whether adults 21 and older should be allowed to consume cannabis recreationally.

TIME is reporting the results as they come in. So far, California and Massachusetts have passed recreational marijuana, while Florida, North Dakota and Arkansas have passed medical marijuana measures. The four others remain pending.

All substances occupy and control the mind
Authority (bar the law) occupies and controls the mind ( after-life being the carrot).
    Or karma.
Thought the controller is the root of evil.
And when self (manufactured self) is absent a Man can do no wrong.
    And therein lies Freedom.
But we wrap ourselves in chains.

    Careful, California.

Great for medicine though. Which is what it becomes.

The main point to be garnered from the legalized cannabis vote is the fact that the USA federal government has been lying to the people since 1937 when cannabis prohibition began.

The USA federal government cannot be trusted on any level is the underlying message.

The California vote on cannabis and the electorate win of Donald Trump just blasted a huge hole in the USA federal government credibility.

The Donald should simply move his federal government to Omaha, NE and let the Wash DC bureaucrats self destruct.

How so, Earl? Pot's been legal in several states for the last two years. Washington and Colorado come to mind.

How did the federal government's credibiltity get blown a huge hole in it? If you've read the transcript of Trump's Sunday interview on 60 Minutes, you'll see that he basically said what he thought would get him elected.

He said he's not going to build a wall, he's not going to get Hillary jailed, he likes most of Obamacare and that he really has no clear plan to proceed. Take a look and listen. It's educational for every Trump supporter. Fuck, it wasn't even a week after the election and he's taking back what he campaigned on.
