Virginia Democrat Party Chair Arrested for Trying to Hire Hit Man to Kill Girls He Molested

The former Chairman of the Falls Church, Virginia Democrat Party who has been charged with sexually molesting two young girls is now also accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill the young girls before they could tell police their story.

Loudoun County prosecutors say that Democrat Michael Gardner, who is about to stand trial for the molestation charges, tried to find a hit man while in prison.

In a letter, received by authorities last month, the inmate told Gardner that he knew someone who could “help with ._._. the ‘3 problems’ you have pre-trial,” according to a motion filed by the prosecution on Thursday, allegedly referring to the two girls and a unspecified third issue. The letter was sent from the inmate in response to “multiple and specific conversations” Gardner allegedly had with the inmate, according to court papers.

Gardner was convicted in 2012 of molesting two girls, who were 9 and 10 at the time, during a slumber party for his daughter’s 10th birthday.

He was sentenced to 22 years in prison. Then his conviction was overturned by the state Supreme Court, which said the trial judge improperly stopped Gardner’s defense attorney from asking character witnesses about Gardner. He was granted a new trial.

If this were a Republican he would be national news.

A top US senator, Democrat Bob Menendez, has been charged with 14 counts of corruption.
The New Jersey politician is accused of using his influence to illegally benefit a Florida eye doctor, who he admits is a long-time friend.
At a press conference, he said he was "outraged" by the charges and dismissed the allegations as false.
The 14 charges include conspiracy and making false statements, as well as eight counts of bribery.
Mr Menendez has resigned as the top Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee but vowed he "would not be silenced" as he fights the allegations.
"I am outraged that prosecutors at the Justice Department were tricked into starting this investigation three years ago with false allegations by those who have a political motive to silence me," Menendez told a cheering crowd of supporters in Newark.
New Jersey's largest newspaper, the Star and Ledger, has called on him to resign his Senate seat.

In recent years, the senator has been an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama's policies relating to Iran and Cuba.
He is considered one of the most influential Hispanic American lawmakers in Congress, and is the lead author of legislation that would tighten sanctions imposed against Iran.
The investigation first came to light in 2013, when federal authorities raided the office of Dr Salomon Melgan - who was also charged.
Their investigation focused on whether Mr Menendez used his office to advocate in favour of Dr Melgan including by intervening in a Medicare billing dispute.
Dr Melgan attracted more attention last year when government data revealed that he had received more money from Medicare reimbursements in 2012 than any other doctor in the US.
He donated large sums of money to Mr Menendez's re-election campaign.
"We celebrated holidays together," he once told journalists. "We have been there for family weddings and sad times like funerals and have given each other birthday, holiday and wedding presents, just as friends do."

Mr Menendez has admitted to taking multiple trips to the Dominican Republic on the doctor's private jet and initially failed to properly pay for the trips. In 2013, he reimbursed Dr Melgan for two of the flights.
Later, his office admitted to another flight on the jet - from Florida to New Jersey in 2011 - and said that the senator had repaid Dr Melgan for it.
Mr Menendez, 61, has served in the Senate since 2006, and was in the House of Representatives for more than a decade before that.

It's the neocon strategy of applying more economic pressure that will insure that they have the bomb. The US will have no international support for more sanctions, the coalition will evaporate. China, Russia and much of the EU will trade with Iran and the US will be left holding the bag. So the only choice without an agreement is to go to war, which we will lose.

Democrat State Auditor Indicted On Tax Fraud


Troy X. Kelley, Washington state Auditor, has been indicted on 10 counts of tax fraud, and is being prosecuted by the United States Department Of Justice.

From a press release put out by the DOJ:

A U.S. Grand Jury in Seattle has returned a ten count indictment against TROY X. KELLEY, 50, of Tacoma for his scheme to keep stolen money and hide it from both the IRS and those due a refund related to their purchase of a home or refinance of a home mortgage, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Annette L. Hayes. KELLEY currently serves as the elected Washington State Auditor. The majority of the criminal conduct detailed in the indictment spans years prior to KELLEY’s election to statewide office. However, some of the criminal conduct detailed in the indictment occurred following his election.

According to the indictment, between 2003 and 2008, KELLEY operated a business that was paid by real estate title companies to track documents related to real estate sales and refinancings. KELLEY had agreements with those companies for the fees he could charge in connection with the document-tracking work. While the title companies withheld $100-$150 on each loan to pay the fee, the bulk of the money was to be returned to the borrower with KELLEY’s company being paid $15- $20 per transaction. However, the indictment alleges, in most cases, KELLEY kept the entire amount withheld on each loan resulting in more than $2 million in stolen money. This conduct is the basis for count one of the indictment: Possession and concealment of stolen property. When the amount withheld by title companies became the subject of civil litigation, the indictment alleges KELLEY obstructed the litigation, repeatedly lying in a declaration and in depositions while under oath. For this conduct KELLEY is charged with four counts of false declarations and one count of attempted obstruction of a civil lawsuit. Further, the indictment alleges KELLEY failed to pay federal taxes and obstructed the IRS in its efforts to collect taxes from him. He is charged with corrupt interference with Internal Revenue laws and two counts of filing false income tax returns. Finally, KELLEY is charged with making false statements to Internal Revenue Service agents who questioned him about his scheme in April 2013.

Kelley is a member of the Democrat party, and was elected as state Auditor in 2012. Prior to that, he served as a state representative for 6 years. In addition to be the Auditor for the state, he also holds the rank of Lt. Colonel JAG officer with the state National Guard."
