Yes the people are intolerent, but so is the scripture.
And as for Iraq, well, they didn't do as they were told.
Iraq could be a very different place, not only is it very beautiful but it also could be fabulously wealthy. Unfortunately it was run by Muslims and still is.
Recent car bombings in Bagdad is all the proof we need to tell us that the place is not governable in the normal way.

The point is here that we don't want to wipe out their religion although original Christian scripture does suggest that, but we now don't interpret it in that way anymore. Muslim script also calls for no other religion to be acceptable other than Islam. Big difference is that we realise that the bible is total garbage and they have'nt sussed yet that the Koran is also total garbage.

If you lived durining the middle-ages all the way up to the 19th century, then the Christian religion was violent and intolerent.
Hell, in the UK we still symbolically burn a Catholic every 5th November (the reason why Guy Fawkes wanted to blow up parliament was because of the institutionalized persecution of Catholics).

If you lived during the middle-ages (c500 - c1600) up to the 19th century you would be over a thousand years old and have experienced much, including humanity at its worst.

Meanwhile, Islam was born in the early middle-ages (7th c), and enjoyed explosive growth in all land directions during its first 120-130 years, including all the way across North Africa, and Spain.

Living in that period, not sure I'd choose to be part of Islam's rise or Rome's fall. ;)

So you're not in the habit of citing posts on here, but you're going to be posting text with citations... ?? You do or don't add citations to your posts keda. If you do it's a little bit odd (and frankly a bit of a stretch to think you read the source material, interpreted it, and then cited it in a post on an internet forum) if you don't then hadn't you better attribute the material to the actual source. It's plagiarism otherwise.
