    Britain's New Draconian "Internet Law"

    Way to go ya limeys:

"The British government has brought down its long-awaited Digital Economy Bill, and it's perfectly useless and terrible.

-the "three-strikes" rule that allows your entire family to be cut off from the net if anyone who lives in your house is accused of copyright infringement, without proof or evidence or trial

-£50,000 fines if someone in your house is accused of filesharing.

    - A duty on ISPs to spy on all their customers in case they find something that would help the record or film industry sue them (ISPs who refuse to cooperate can be fined £250,000"

Britain's new Internet law -- as bad as everyone's been saying, and worse. Much, much worse.

The fine folks in the entertainment industry who are no doubt lobbying and therefore paying for this legislation know no borders, so it's just a matter of time before similar or identical measures are taken up elsewhere.

Snatch 'em while ya can folks...

instead of trying to fix shit what aint broke, they might try and do something useful an relevant. Instead, dream up ever crazier irrelavencies to disguise the fact that they don't know wtf they are doing.
They wonder why the electorate is begging for a change.
Spiteful bitter and twisted communists who want to control our lives in total from cradle to grave.
paliament has no idea how despised it is by the people.

Unlikely, I think the Tories will be back in, but they wouldn't reverse this, they suck up to big business even more than the current bunch of retards.

Controlling the UK population seems to be the only thing Labour have done. They've created a fearful, slightly paranoid society, where individualism is scorned. I detest them.
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar

You can't ban people from the internet, just wander round with a laptop and you will find many unsecured networks, just download from theres and let them get banned

It will also create a demand for network hacking software, do we really need a nation of people learning how to hack networks and then going onto other stuff?

Since it is by accusation and no evidence needed, why not accuse all government offices? Drive past those whilst hacking networks.....lol

Similar measures were put into law in NZ recently, and then pulled because of opposition from the public and ISPs.

Last I heard Australia had something similar in the works.
