The second bit is rather interesting, I guess she'll have to wait awhile after the furore over her book has settled. Conservative voters suffer from long term memory problems, so she should be fine.

Some people that do plan on running say these things (above).

But as I've stated, I highly, doubt she'd consider running. South Carolina GOP primary? Anything is possible in S.C.

But in my opinion, she is not nationally electable, no matter how crafted and propped up, and prepared she'd be to tailor her adviser-crafted message.

Too divisive. Her base, too narrow.

I agree, but it didn't stop the GOP last time...

I think she is a huge liability and totally inept.

But, give it a few years of coaching, makeovers, careful manipulation.....

That was McCain.

He took the risk. He wanted Tom Ridge, and someone else (I forgot who) and the Xtian publicly throw a temper tantrum. He backed down, and picked Palin to acquiese to the Xtian right.

She's definitely got her coaches and tutors.

Question is, will she try to run. If she starts an exploratory committe in 1 1/2 years, she might.

Again, I don't see her as the GOP nominee - or - as a VP. She was a disastrous VP, and broke many rules of the campaign. No Presidential candidate would want to put up her - or her family, IMO.

Palin is just another example how some American love political frauds and would elect them if given a chance, no matter how dysfunctional or incompetent they are. Very troubling.
