Apparently it's from July 29 2009 edition of 'The Live Desk'
I can't find any articles refuting it as a hoax.
It was captured as a screenshot and tweeted.

    Fixing Fox...

Take the Pledge | Turn Off Fox
    Take the Pledge

Take the pledge! Stop the spread of the FOX cancer by getting it turned off in public places: such as pubs, doctor’s offices, airports and restaurants. Become an ambassador to decrease the influence of FOX’s misinformation and propaganda. This is BuzzFlash’s first advocacy project and we need a national guerilla squad of individuals who will join us in various strategies to stop the spread of FOX into public settings.
In the coming months, we’ll be advising you on how to ask nicely to change the news channel, leave flyers warning people about FOX “News” damaging brain cells, and many more strategies to come, including a device that can turn TV sets off from up to 50 feet away!

Neil Cavuto called an asshole on the air. He seems to have deserved it.

Neil Cavuto Called An 'Asshole' By AFL-CIO Economist On Live TV (VIDEO)

One thing that bothers me about Fox is the way they have their TV personalities interview their other TV personalities. Beck will be on Oreilly and Oreilly on another show, etc etc. Shouldn't they be interviewing outsiders for their opinions. It's sort of like inbreeding in the news.

Brian Kilmaede provides Fox News entertainmant

Brian Kilmeade Provides Fox News Entertainment By Embarrassing Himself

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade has been embarrassing himself more than usual over the last few days on Fox & Friends. Yesterday, after news broke that the cap BP placed on its leaking oil well had to be removed because one of its robots bumped the well’s venting system, Kilmeade had some harsh words for the robot. “I’d love to talk to that robot that knocked…the top off the cap that was in the bottom of the Gulf yesterday,” Kilmeade said. “What was that robot thinking?” he asked in disgust.
Then today, as Media Matters notes, the Fox co-host had had this dim-witted question for President Obama:
KILMEADE: The President took a matter of hours to pick a commander in Afghanistan so why is it taking months to plug the leaking oil?
It’s unclear how Kilmeade believes that appointing an individual to lead the war in Afghanistan is comparable in difficulty to plugging an oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico. Even Newt Gingrich found the comparison hard to swallow. “Is it fair to draw a correlation between the two?” co-host Gretchen Carlson asked. “No. No, no. The oil spill is more like the entire Afghan campaign,” Gingrich said.
To top it all off, on the Fox and Friends set this morning, Kilmeade played a little one-on-one with last night’s NBA draft top pick John Wall. After Wall dunked on Kilmeade and blocked his shots, Carlson had to show him how it’s done. Watch a compilation:

Surprising how pervasive Fox n"so called "NEWs" in USA ans in Hotels etc seems to have replaced CNN as default news channel seeping in like Rason or plague unseen

The Al Thani's major marketing error I believe was naming the Qatar based channel Al Jazeera
A Neutral title like Network News or an Acronym would have come less loaded
Thanks Chitown good quotes and many items I have observed but not yet digested.

FOX is better than the msm networks. They are largely obama robots, altho it is nice to see that a few commentators have woken up to reality about him lately.

Fair and Balanced? Not according to Fox News chief executive Roger Ailes.

The Los Angeles Times reported on March 6 that according to Glenn Beck, in a meeting with him, Fox News chief executive Roger Ailes "shared a message of his own: The country faced tough times, he said, and Fox News was one of the only news outlets willing to challenge the new administration." From the article:

"I wanted to meet with Roger and tell him, 'You may not want to put me on the air. I believe we are in dire trouble, and I will never shut up,' " said the conservative radio host.

But before Beck could say anything, Ailes shared a message of his own: The country faced tough times, he said, and Fox News was one of the only news outlets willing to challenge the new administration.

"I see this as the Alamo," Ailes said, according to Beck. "If I just had somebody who was willing to sit on the other side of the camera until the last shot is fired, we'd be fine."

Ain't going to happen. Fox went to court and won the right (by arguing the first amendment!) to lie and distort.

The people who watch it aren't looking for information, they are looking for things to be spun into a nice comfortable narrative that fits their pre-conceived notions.

FOX gives them their comfort blanket and helps them avoid trying to have an original thought. Pandering to base fears that you helped to create is a very profitable line of business, Murdoch and Ailes are doing very well out of it.
