This is an amazing interview Bill really breaks it down.
Regarding Republicans;
"Facts never get in the way of their talking points. And so for people who only listen to FOX News, they can wake up with Matt Drudge and have lunch with Rush Limbaugh and go to bed with Bill O'Reilly," he explained, listing a trio of powerful Republican voices. "That's all they're going to know, is what they hear there. And very often these people do not care what the truth is."
Bill Maher of FOX News: "Facts never get in the way of their talking points" – Piers Morgan - CNN.com Blogs
^How exactly is Maher breaking it down? All he is doing is spewing his standard hatemongering vitriol without a shread of supporting factual evidence.
Maher is the epitome stereotype of the lame hypocritcal thinking which inhabits narrow libtard minds.
Facts sure don't get in the way of Maher's vitriolic ranting, that is for sure. Nice going snubster.

He was on that Piers Morgan show last night & I managed to watch with utter fascination the distorted, bitter, vindictive & hate-mongering B.S. spewed by the both of them. Maher did say one thing that made sense though - that Ted Cruz has a real chance to beat HRC and he was serious.
Hope springs eternal!

^^ The truth hurts doesn't it? You retort with the very talking points he mentioned in the video. You just proved his point Earl.
OIC now facts are taken to be talking points, nice twist there snub.
I supposed the millions of cancelled health insurance policies are simply talking points.

Yep in my alternate reality I see how the federal government has systematically failed to reign in spending and behave responsibly in the way that would be expected of the regular citizen.
In my reality I see how federal mandates like the ethanol mandate or the war on drugs have created situations worldwide that are much worse than how things were before.
Ethanol mandates have caused food prices to soar around the world.
The war on drugs has made the crime and terrorism situation far worse than it was before.
Perhaps from your point of view, but if you are a private prison operator or part of their supply chains or a defence contractor and so forth it has been a roaring success!Originally Posted by Mr Earl
Then at last you can feel good about the fact that Obama has presided over the lowest growth in federal government spending since President Eisenhower- and in fairness Ike had a whole lot more government revenue to play with than Obama because taxes were higher back then, government debt lower- and he inherited a healthy domestic economy.Originally Posted by Mr Earl
But try getting the GOP to pony up a bit more dosh to actually pay down the huge debt overhang and mounting interest costs, as your nation succesfully did after WW2. You soon see their 'Deficit Hawk' schtick is nothing but a barefaced lie- they are now nothing but a lobby group for the already rich and big business, not a real political party in any mature or transnational sense. They'd prefer to see the nation burn, and millions suffer, than concede an inch of ground on the failed Bush era tax cuts. Not to mention pay for the unfunded wars, and Medicare porkbarrel for seniors.
Such narrow interest groups will of course take on anyone as a titular ally, hence their association with the religious right, rabid teabaggers, gun nuts, outright racists, "pro-Israel" bigots etc. Did your mum ever mention you can generally judge people by the 'friends' they choose? mine did.
Hence also their disingenuous shoving of faux patriotism down the throats of gullible shills. But they are American patriots- if you believe Marie Antoinette was a French patriot.
I find it quite hard to believe that a huge and supposedly sophisticated nation like the US is mired in this sort of politics. The damage is enormous, both at home and abroad. Your congress is a worldwide laughing stock, and you know that's the truth.
It's remaining supporters (elderly & white, or just plain weird) stubbornly say the GOP is the party of fiscal responsibility-
That kinda changed in 1981, old timers.

Fox - The Only Network With Balls:
Confronting Barack Obama bluntly and brutally for his lies, broken promises, and inaction, Neil Cavuto’s 3-minute razor-sharp monologue of October 29 says what so many millions of Americans would like to say directly to the president if only they could.
Namely, and specifically with regard to Obamacare –
You and your sycophants cannot lay this one off on anyone else. You yourself lied to us and betrayed us, Mr. President.
Neil Cavuto Calls Out & Bashes Obama for Broken Promises, Lies, and Inaction.
Even some of Obama’s most loyal worshipers in the Democrat-servile media are now calling him out. The rest are bumbling, mumbling, and obfuscating as they attempt explain away his bold-faced deceptions.
More importantly, Americans now have to ask themselves this one fundamental question –
Going forward, how are we going to believe anything Barack Obama says, no matter how sincere he sounds?
Kudos to Fox News’ Neil Cavuto for speaking up loudly and clearly in a way so few of our politicians ever will.

Let's revisit the words of Wisdom from Bill Maher:
Sure Obama Lied But He Had to or ObamaCare Might Not Have Passed
BILL MAHER: It sure is hard if you're a politician, not that I'm really that sympathetic to them, to try to get information into people's heads. I don't think Obama should have lied to people.
PIERS MORGAN, HOST: It was a lie, wasn’t it?
MAHER: Well, hold on. First of all, insurance companies are always dropping people from their plans. This goes on, this went on before ObamaCare went on, after ObamaCare. We’re losing a lot of perspective here. But, yeah, he probably should have not been so blatant about saying you iron clad guarantee.
On the other hand, since he got no Republican votes and no Republican help, and since three years after it’s a law they’re still fighting it, can you imagine what it would be like if he said, “Yeah, some people your rates are going to up.” I mean, he, the thing passed by this much. If they said that, they might have lost the whole thing. And politicians are always making compromises like that."
Maher: Sure Obama Lied But He Had to or ObamaCare Might Not Have Passed | NewsBusters
Can you imagine Maher accepting a Republican president lying to get a major piece of legislation passed?
Of course not...
^ Well you are as usual posting up one sided nonsense. Almost all presidents have lied. Bush 1 and 2, Reagan, Nixon, and Clinton. The only modern era president that hasn't lied was Carter.
You still live in an alternate reality and get your information from poisoned sources and Maher was spot on when he said that Republicans spout the same tired talking points over and over and over.

This is even before Obamacare kicks in, which will increase the debt another 2.6 trillion and change.

^ It's a lovely headline for the right wing fever swamps; too bad it's complete bs
According to the Pulitzer-prize-winning fact checkers at PolitiFact, when compared to the spending of the nine presidents who preceded him, Obama's rate of spending in his first term in office ranks at or near the bottom of the list.
Whether in raw dollars or adjusted for inflation, both George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan increased spending at a much faster clip than the current president, who is so commonly described by his conservative opponents as a free-spending socialist.

Typical "liberal" trick of trying to change the focus of the relevant facts!
Also when the story of the three women held hostage by Ariel Castro unfolded, NBC showed the house flying a US flag instead of the Puerto Rican flag actually being flown when the story broke. Fox showed the PR flag "live".
Once again, a "liberal" news agency trying to "sanitize" the news to make "progressives" happy.
