and foxnews is at least partly to blame.

Fox News freaks out over 4Chan hoax that feminists are plotting to end Father’s Day

The host of Fox & Friends on Sunday fell for an Internet hoax that feminists had hatched a plot for bringing down Father’s Day, and possibly “ending men” altogether.

As Death and Taxes reported on Friday, pranksters at the website 4Chan had created the fake social media campaign with the hashtag “#EndFathersDay” to “to make feminists and the things we fight for look ridiculous.”

Other 4Chan social media hoaxes have included “#WhitesCantBeRaped,” with another aimed at trying to convince CNN of a new pro-anorexia fashion trend called the “bikini bridge.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson noted on Sunday that the hashtag had started out as a joke, but had been “picking up steam with feminists online.”

For analysis about what #EndFathersDay meant for American society, Fox & Friends brought in “Princeton Mom” Susan Patton, an anti-feminist whose recent book encouraged women in college to spend 75 percent of their time looking for a man to marry.

“They’re not just interested in ending Father’s Day, they’re interested in ending men,” Patton warned. “That’s really what they want.”

“When you crush men, you hurt women,” Carlson agreed.

“For these ridiculous, antagonistic women to say it’s a celebration of male oppression,” Patton continued. “No, it’s a harmless creation of the greeting card industry, the aftershave industry, the tie manufacturers.”

“We’re talking about a group of antagonistic feminists, who, first, don’t even have men in their lives probably,” she opined. “It just one more thing, one more micro-aggression for them to latch onto and get crazy over. This is absolutely absurd. Nobody’s talking about Mother’s Day.”

“What kind of outrage would there be if men were saying, ‘Yeah, mothers aren’t important, end Mother’s Day,’?” co-host Clayton Morris wondered.

“Well, without fathers, there would be no mothers,” Patton declared. “Everyday is Mother’s Day. Let’s give dad this one Sunday in June, and, you know, be good spirited about it.”

Watch the video below from Fox News’ Fox & Friends, broadcast June 15, 2014.

Ever wonder why the states have some of the problems they do? Wonder no more,…….

The average 1.79 million viewers between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, gave FNC its first quarter atop the dial since the Iraq War broke out in 2003. Expanding that block by an hour, which includes Greta Van Susteren at 7 p.m., FNC was the most watched in primetime for the first time ever. And in the targeted demographic of adults 25-54, FNC was up 12 percent from the same period a year ago, with an average 313,000 viewers.

Cleese explains why extremely stupid people (last ten seconds) do not have the capability to realize how stupid they are.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Oh a thirty year group. How much do you think that 24-year-old has in common with the 54-year-old? As usual with you the post is crap as there is no link. I bet it is from fox itself which would explain why they are trying to clump such a broad demographic together because at the bottom end fox news viewers are just not there.

Fox and every murdoch subsidiary is a comic book. Every other mainstream press outlet is exactly the same. Just bullshit to keep people from asking the pertinent questions and demanding a response.

The Sun is the most popular newspaper in the UK. It is also mostly read by stupid, uneducated people who will believe any old pap.

Fox News is another Murdoch vehicle.

Whilst your numbers show that many people watch this rubbish, what they don't show is that most of them are as thick as shit.

what it also doesn't show is the numbers who watch it just to try and cop a look at the snatch of the blonde slag. No one could possibly take the shit on fox seriously, surely!

Any news/entertainment channel that can generate over fifty pages of "opinion" on a Thailand forum must be doing something right.....

It's always a puzzle to me why so many people complain about the FOX channel. It's just a channel like any other except it shows clear bias towards a particular conservative/republican viewpoint.....and what's more telling is that much of what it broadcasts is opinion and entertainment rather than news.

It's actual news broadcasts are mostly quite good and they are usually quicker off the mark with breaking news that most other channels. A lot of folks don't seem be able to tell the difference between the news sections and the entertainment parts. It's a commercial channel...and it makes no bones about being so.

The FOX debate panels and shows like Hannity are not news....and they are not supposed to be news. They are simply offering a particular view of the news and current affairs. Anyone is free to agree or disagree.

People who despise and constantly rant and rave about these FOX offerings, then go off and come back with "news" and "views" from some equally biased and slanted news source....of which there are many. The only real different being which "wing" the alternative preaches from and how well the girls are turned out.

Then we have the devotees of the conspiracy blogs...and the whole truth outlets like Anonymous where the newscasters wear monk outfits and Guy Fawkes masks... very chic.....and always full of truth and accuracy of course........

There are lots of places where those who go life fretting about how our governments are always out to get us, and that the entire world is one big conspiracy run by Zionists and Freemasons, can go to find virtually unlimited support for their various mental aberrations, and lots of great debating ideas for their forum posting obsessions....

Middle East News - Headlines, Stories and Video from CNN.com International

Conflicts | World | Fox News

Ya see - all the same. Fox ignore unprovoked airstrikes by israel on Syria and instead talk about the israeli victims bravely demolishing some random houses in revenge for soemthing or other. CNN mentions it in a headline but then waxes lyrical NOT about the airstrikes but about how the target might have been weapons (might have been olives - who knows? Might have been anything and deliberate disinformation as usual) before going on their typical VICTIM ISRAEL they are allowed to defend themselves rhetoric.

NBC News - Breaking News & Top Stories - Latest World, US & Local News

NBC doesn't think it is worth a mention of bringing to peoples attention.

ABC News: Breaking News & Latest News - ABC News

ABC talks about the israeli election a lot, because after all this is what the bloodshed recently was all about. But random acts of agression by victim israel? Nooo not something their readers like to read.

Middle East News: News and Headlines from Iraq, Iran, Israel, Lebanon & More - The Washington Post

Washington post presents the article on israel bombing syria as "The strikes were probably aimed at Iranian shipments of weapons to Hezbollah, analysts say" which to the average reader who does not read articles but skims the headlines, this show victim israel in its rightful place. However the article says completely the opposite when you read it and drops this little bombshell in their article "The Syrian army’s statement, however, said the raids were aimed at “raising the morale of terrorist organizations, including the Al Qaeda-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS” — an acronym for the Islamic State.

The Israeli attacks followed a failed Islamic State offensive to recapture the government-held airport in the eastern city of Deir el-Zour over the weekend."

Middle East - International News - Iraq, Israel, Lebanon - The New York Times
NY Times hides it as a one liner at the foot of the page and the article focuses on why israel did it, not own up to it (save face for Syria apparently), and how they have NOTHING to do with the election.

    Which publications did I miss?

All the same. All a bunch of misinformation.

So where are you getting all your unbiased and irrefutable truth from? Russian TV? Iranian foreign broadcasts? Anonymous U-Tube videos.....?

What you and others continue to call "misinformation" is simply news network people speculating and offering opinions on what is going on, because they don't always know exactly what and why etc. When people demand instant access to world events 24/7 it's hardly a surprise that the "news" is often a mixture of guesswork and speculation.

Fresh news or breaking news is often speculative in its content and tends to change as more and more information and facts are made available. Any news channel that waited for all the facts to come in before reporting would be out of business pretty quickly. There is a big difference between reporting events as they are happening and making documentaries about them two or three years after the fact.

People with a bit of common sense know that broadcast news is not always accurate and understand the reasons why this is so. Additionally they have learned to read between the lines, and in the end decide what they believe to be true and what is not. The full facts and truth about newsworthy events takes time to unravel. For those with the interest there will be plenty of information published later on.

For the rest, the latest escapades of Lady Gaga or Beyoncé will keep them well occupied.

If some rabid anti-western propaganda broadcast out of some ME sand-trap were to be spouting off about the hundreds of orphanages, schools and hospitals being targeted daily by US warplanes, with bodies of "women and children" scattered far and wide, many of our TD'ers would no doubt treat it as gospel...

In other words, anything anti-American...anti-Western, or anti-capitalist qualifies as "news" and "truth"....everything else is just propaganda for the "sheeple".....

Instead of allowing so many of us to be so misled, why not provide us with your sources of truth and accuracy so we may become more enlightened about what is really going on......

No its not. They are delivering a narrative that is written for them by large corporations and the elite. It is the narrative you have to ignore, look at the facts, and decide what is most likely.

They issue irrefutable facts and then cover them in propaganda (which is always the same) which suits the owners of the countries. Take for example the report on US torture. The facts are the US are guilty of systemic torturing of innocent people and the results of that torture has proven to be useless, and yet the media present it as "well, this happened and now WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE FROM MUSLIMS ATTACKING US. Fear. Give us MORE POWER".
