By the way I'm a Taxi driver, lease operator..I get nothing in the way of benefits, just trying to be a decent human being,honest work,love my mom..etc...where the mean"trash" comment comes from???
I do pay into CPP(Canada Pension Plan) ever year during tax time,ensuring a pension at 60 or 65.
I came back to Canada(from Thailand) in 2001 got a Doctor,didn't like him and changed to another(Dr.Wolowitz) a great guy...I live in B.C
"or so a friend told you" is not really credible evidence.My suggestion would be to come on up,check it out for yourself...and have a nice visit while your at it.

^ I live in Vancouver, I know lots of folks and friends tell me what happens to their friends. My neighbour works for the health union -- she cannot get a GP. But, it's nice there are so many walk-in clinics. One near my fav cafe is always stuffed with folks.
Glad you are happy in your life Gary, but I just think you are brain-washed. Another Canuck who just lets all levels of govt rule his life? This is the country of "NO", unless you are a new refugee that our tax dollars pay to live on welfare forever.

Brain washing....in Canada???..Not sure which part of Vancouver JG lives in..maybe Vancouver Washington?
Couple of months ago I had to see a specialist..took two weeks.
Just had an upper G.I exam done as well(damn it ,I have a hiatus hernia) at the clinic here in Langford B.C(Southern Vancouver Island) one week booking time(St. Anthonys Clinic) cost after procedure...$0.00.
No system is perfect,but in comparison to our friends to the south,this is a far better,more humane system.
I am not sure what JG and others like minded are so afraid of?

The only way you really get stuff for "free" in Canada is if you are on welfare or you make low wages. Is that the case for you? I am tired of seeing my tax dollars paying for freeloaders.

Jet seems to think that paying almost 17% percent of your nations GDP for incomplete and often inferior Health coverage is better than paying less than 10% of your nations GDP for Universal coverage. Because it's Private.

Paying an average of 210% for your pharmaceuticals compared to the rest of the world, for the privilege of living in a country with a considerably higher infant mortality rate than Libya, is "Freedom" in Jet's (and Fox') worldview.

I notice gary did not answer my Qs about what he pays. The poor lad must be a welfare case living off my tax dollars. Yep, ignore is the best way for him to go, as he obviously ignores everything going on around him. Still, I hope he was safe during the big storms we have had these past few days. Hope his make-shift shelter didn't get blown away.

It's quite funny to see her 'post' and 'post' and 'post' and no-one quotes her or responds, aside from a very few like-minded people, because she is on ignore by so many . . . the best way to deal with it.

If you want to see how stupid and corrupt Fox news is as well as have a good laugh I suggest you watch the Daily show.

I download it nightly and they are always exposing them for what they are. Brilliant.
