Why should coalition forces be seen as responsable for deaths of people when they are killing each other???
Using your WAY OF THINKING--- the thai government is responsable for the deaths of every person killed in the SOUTHERN PROBLEM also then???

If China invaded the U.S., removed the government, and eliminated the police forces and lawlessness ensued would that be the fault of China or the fault of Americans?
Someone should have anticipated what would happened when Iraqis are set free to realize who they really are. Free at last! Allah akbar free at last!
edit: hey folks, there's some good stuff on the previous page.
Were the Iraqis killing each other prior to our arrival (car bombings, etc)?
One of the brilliant strategies of post World War II was to keep much of the defeated governments' organs in place. Our failures in both Vietnam and Iraq were to support governments which, for the most part, were/are loathed by most citizens.
Our worst failure in Iraq (thus far) was getting rid of anyone in the government who was a Baathist.
From execution to the current quagmire the entire process is, has been, and will be a failure.
One of these days (maybe) America will stop forcing other countries to buy American products and have an American-style government using the threat of force.
Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential LibraryQuote:
The way chosen by the United States was plainly marked by a few clear precepts, which govern its conduct in world affairs.
First: No people on earth can be held, as a people, to be enemy, for all humanity shares the common hunger for peace and fellowship and justice.
Second: No nation's security and well-being can be lastingly achieved in isolation but only in effective cooperation with fellow-nations.
Third: Any nation's right to form of government and an economic system of its own choosing is inalienable.
Fourth: Any nation's attempt to dictate to other nations their form of government is indefensible.
Just a quick comment to this thread- G.W. Bush needs to get the F#%K out of office before he sinks what was once a great Nation!:finger: :finger: :finger: :thrashi: :thrashi: :guitar: :guitar: :saythat: :iagree:
Thanks for the Eisenhower quote.
According to the FRONTLINE report the Iraqi military was very enthusiastic and asked what they could do to be of service. When they were dismissed and told to go home it was a major loss of face. They should have been fed, housed and paid to stay on their bases to line up every morning for roll call. Too many missing roll call from having skipped out would be a clear indicator that a problem was arising.
The failures of the administration still doesn't dismiss the peculiar behavior of targeting women and children for murder, sawing off heads, gouging out eyeballs or drilling into body parts. To call all other nations who funded revolutions terrorist states in an attempt to make Middle Eastern politics more palatable is a clever trick if they can pull it off. I'm not buying into it.
Why don't the vicious mutilating killers admit they are gay and then make love not war? They'll feel allot better and the people around them will too. Sexual frustration leads to violence.
He is doing a great job. Osama think he should stay a few more years to accomplish his work.Quote:

al-Sadr's coalition in the Iraqi government say they are walking out. This may be bad. Maybe not. But it definitely isn't good for the American's that are support al-Maliki and the DAWA part's coalition government.
As I've said so many times before, this is down to the political, and has been for 3.5 years:

Beleaguered Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki suffered another blow later in the day when two officials close to the radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr said his followers would quit their Cabinet posts Monday, raising a threat that the government could collapse.
It's official. al-Sadr's Ministers are pulling out of the government.
So, Mr. McCain....where is the plan B?

By Waleed Ibrahim BAGHDAD, April 16 (Reuters) - Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr ordered his ministers to quit Iraq's government on Monday in protest at Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's refusal to set a timetable for a U.S. troop withdrawal. Sadr's populist movement, which draws its support mainly from Iraq's Shi'ite poor, holds six ministries and a quarter of the parliamentary...
^he is pissed coz he soldiers got caught double dealing and were arrested .
And of course there is the TIME TABLE ISSUE-- How can there be a pull out date if the Iraqis won't stand up and take control????
A major part of the problem is the lack of jobs. Unemployed persons who don't have a source of income are far more likely to be anti-government and support criminals and other riff-raff who promise money in exchange for support.
This is a major reason why Hamas/Hezbollah receive such strong support.
^ I already greened you for a previous post. I agree most people just want the self-respect of knowing they can provide for their family.
Totally agreed.
What happened to the gay terrorists?
I think the statement lacked a url link to a BBC article. :D
I am sure you could have found a blog to link to. ;)Quote:

Ya see that's very difficult for people like John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi and Teddy boy. They think we can have a reasoned discourse with these deranged people.
Sure they eventually talked the IRA down off their terrorist activities.
But the current Islamofacist isn't like the IRA.
If they're capable of such depravity because of some homosexual tendencies it is highly unlikely it will be resolved in a muslim society where homosexuals and publicly executed.
Quagmire it is indeed.
