Jet, a simple question for you.
Do you believe in the death sentence for pre meditated murder?

Don't know those stats, Milkie. But here are some stats from one source:

    Why Abortions Are Performed

    • The overwhelming majority of all abortions, (95%), are done as a means of birth control.
    • Only 1% are performed because of rape or incest;
    • 1% because of fetal abnormalities;
    • 3% due to the mother's health problems.
Source: Central Illinois Right To Life
    Reasons Women Choose Abortion (U.S.)
    • Wants to postpone childbearing: 25.5%
    • Wants no (more) children: 7.9%
    • Cannot afford a baby: 21.3%
    • Having a child will disrupt education or job: 10.8%
    • Has relationship problem or partner does not want pregnancy: 14.1%
    • Too young; parent(s) or other(s) object to pregnancy: 12.2%
    • Risk to maternal health: 2.8%
    • Risk to fetal health: 3.3%
    • Other: 2.1%

I believe these are the only ones allowed by law to abort in third trimester. This being the case, the pro lifers need to get the law changed. Not murder doctors who are abiding by the law.

I was in Washington DC (as a tourist) in 1994. Got a nasty bout of bronchitis and grabbed a phone book to look for a local doctor. Pages and pages of plastic surgeons and pages and pages of "family planning clinics". But nothing for an ordinary doctor in private practice. After much frustration, ended up waiting till I got to Canada to see a GP.

It only takes two doctors to say the womans health is in danger. And that can mean mental health as well. Open to exploitation.

Certainly no reason to murder doctors who are technically operating within the law.

One has to consider if this debate is about the killing of the abortionist doctor or the killing that he did? Yes, the law is the thing that needs to be debated.

I think the debate has been diverted somewhat to Jet's overwhelming need for attention.
Quite honestly I think the most important aspect of the abortion debate to her,
is that it's controversial and can sustain an ongoing argument with her as the chief protagonist.

Well as you avoided the question Jet I'll ask it again.

Do you believe in the death sentence for pre meditated murder?

Yesterday, while reading the story (Museum shooter) develop I visited some right-wing websites to see if and how they were reporting the news about the shooting yesterday. One right-wing website took a few hours to report it (they are usually on top of the news), another one reported it and most of the comments to the story were back peddling about the shooter, being a righty.

Well, here is proof he is one of theirs.

    12. He idolized John G. Crommelin, a McCarthyite and segregationist who ran for Governor of Alabama for the ultra right-wing National States' Rights Party.

I think we need to know whether these people play violent video games and listen to rap music too. Clearly their violent behavior can be blamed on the rivalry between TuPac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. Everyone listens to Tupac's and Biggie's music so there is no doubt it had some play in the murders. I bet Scott Roeder played allot of Grand Theft Auto.

It didn't rain here today. It must be global warming. I mean we are experiencing global warming and it didn't rain. The two must be related. It rained this day in past years but it didn't rain this day this year. Clearly it's proof of global warming.

According to his ex-Wife, interviewed by Fox, he is an abusive, bitter alcoholic. He is also welfare dependant- and bitter that the government had apparently reduced his benefits. He lived with his son and his GF/ fiance' in an apartment. His magnum opus was to shoot the (Black) guard that opened the door to the museum for him.

    What a Loser.

An 88 year old sick-o commits suicide-by-cop and it dominates the news for 2 days? Right, left or middle, trying to read into it some deep political drama is rather....what's the word.....silly?

Apparently Ron Paul and his supporters are labeled as domestic terrorists. Anyone that believes this type of media bullshit is gullable beyond belief. There will always be extremists on either side. The media just likes to point these individuals out and paint all with the same bush. Veterens are also terrorists and so are freedom loving people.

Personally, i think the government is worried they are losing their make believe credibility.

^^ But not as predictable as you trying to change the subject when you find yourself in an indefensable position, or unwilling to answer a direct question.

Boon Mee used to be good at that, but you notice even he has accepted the inevitable, your right wing moonbat views have no credibility.

    Now about that question Jet..

Do you support the death penalty for pre meditated murder?

Is US society starting to become unravelled with all the violent, hate filled ultra-patriotic propaganda they have been fed over the past few decades?

The country has been doing pretty well living off debt to other countries who actually work to produce things that sustain their standard of living over the past few decades.

Now the pigeons are coming home to roost, who are the extremists going to blame? Reds under the beds? Joos? Negros? Muslims? The anti gun lobby?

The ultra right wing, Christian, white extremists have plenty of followers including a few here on the board. Even the most recent past US president who was voted to serve two consecutive terms. There must be tens of millions of those brainwashed nutters out there. Mostly well armed with all kinds of weapons as is their right under the US constitution. A pretty scary situation.

But of course most of these types are basically paranoid cowards who live their lives based on fear and holed up in their bunker with loads of guns. Its unlikely there will ever be an armed uprising by their ilk in the USA because, in the end they really dont have the courage to stand up and fight for what they claim to believe in. But it certainly is likely that there will be instances of loony individuals committing hate murders to impress their political point of view. That kind of tragedy Appears to be on the increase in USA and can be expected to continue as the economy deteriorates.

Hey! You gotta blame someone. Why not just kill em? Its the American way after all. And its all that much easier to do if they are somehow different.

    Nice try Jet.

The question is fundamental if you support the execution of abortionists, but it's a question you cannot answer without highlighting how flawed your own position is and you know that.

    Check.

Do you want to answer it?

    Pretty good, Jet.

Tent cities? Loads and loads of morons roaming the streets killing people? A mighty military-industrial complex? Losers in an election baying for the blood of the duly elected leader? hate-mongering by the loony Christian right? Poverty and hardship due to an ineffective social net?

Oh. Europe? Yes, they're doing well.
