Because the deficit projection was overstated. Back in the late 1990s the deficit for the mid 2000s was projected to be....guess......$250 billion.

The Laffer curve was created on a bar-room napkin over drinks.

Lower taxes are good. But you also have to cut big spending. You said you supported "big government." Now you say you like Kennedy-esque supply-side.

You cannot have it both ways.

Lower taxes and increased spending = higher taxes than before. There's just no other way around it...unless you borrow yourself to death.

And the biggest increase in profits of all leading to those 'unexpected' increased revenues? You guessed it: oil and banks (as I demonstrated based on the DJIA 30 industrials: oil companies and banks are driving the profit stream...profits based on raping consumers).

LOL! I used to live there for many years. Norm Dicks is entrenched and has been for decades. Now district 6 is from the Pacific Ocean all the way to the Puget Sound bordering Seattle. From the Strait of Juan de Fuca down through Grays Harbor.

Yes it's Democratic, but the density of Rush Limbaugh stickers, Bush/Cheney stickers, and Jesus fish - was very high there. There are a lot of well paying union jobs there and those people vote Democratic and vote in very high percentages.

I would not call Kitsap/Bremerton Democratic.

Norm Dicks is a "conservative Democrat," and the reason for his strength and 30+ years in Congress is because of 1. hit acquising of federal funds for the shipyard (PSNS) and 2. his seniority of being on Defense committees.

This mean $$$ to Kitsap. It actually is....welfare.

Just because of Dick's party does not mean he ain't a conservative.

I'd love to know how you make your leaps from bringing welfare to Kitsap county to conservative ... and tie Norm Dicks to both. :confused:
