I guess us conservative types should feel happy.

Liberals are growing increasingly nervous – and some just flat-out angry – that President-elect Barack Obama seems to be stiffing them on Cabinet jobs and policy choices.
    ...
“He has confirmed what our suspicions were by surrounding himself with a centrist to right cabinet. But we do hope that before it's all over we can get at least one authentic progressive appointment,” said Tim Carpenter, national director of the Progressive Democrats of America.
    ..
    etc
I worked my butt off for his campaign and now he's giving the admin job I wanted to a black. Huff...(not out yet, but I'm sure it's coming)

Chicago-style politics back in the news. What do you all make of it? Gov Blagojevich accused of trying to "sell" BO's vacated senate seat? And BO knows nuuuuthink? (sorry, we watched Hogan's Heroes replays last night. Always loved Sgt Shultz) BO said he never talked to Blog about it but Axlerod said a few weeks back that BO had talked to Blog about the seat, then Axle now says he mispoke. Hmmm. Makes you wonder. BO is such a smart guy but he never knew what Rezko did, never heard Rev Wright say anything bad in the 20 years he was a member of that congregation...Something funny is going on here. It will be real interesting if Bloggie squeals. Somehow I sniff an Emmanuel sending Blog more than a dead fish in the mail.
And Jesse Jackson, Jr had a 90-minute meeting with Blog about the seat but NO money was ever discussed. Uh huh.
This is all getting very tasty.

Here's a sidebar from the Onion:
    Illinois Governor Arrested

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday on corruption charges stemming from an alleged conspiracy to sell or trade the Senate seat left vacant by Barack Obama. What do you think?
    Ethan Strouth,
    Mailroom Worker
"I was moved by the governor's heartfelt plea that he be given his fucking money back."

    Denise Simmonds,
    Dog Groomer
"I should have never had those 'Spitzer-Blagojevich 2012' lawn signs printed up back in February."

    John Edwards,
    Lawyer
"How much are Senate seats going for these days? I only paid $75,000 for mine back in ’98."
Illinois Governor Arrested | The Onion - America's Finest News Source

Read this for Jesse Jr's statements. He may be candidate 5 but he never offered to make a $500,000 contribution to Blogo nor did he send an emissary to do so.

Damn niggers gone done appointed some Nobel prize winning Chink to Energy secretary too:-

Obama taps Nobel physicist for energy secretary: reports

President-elect Barack Obama has chosen Nobel prize-winning physicist Steven Chu, a strong advocate of alternative and renewable energy research [], to be his energy secretary, US media reported Thursday.

Obama has also decided to name three experienced policy makers and regulators to key environmental jobs, the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times wrote, suggesting the next US president plans to push for a bold shift on climate and energy issues.

Obama has selected Carol Browner, former administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under president Bill Clinton, to fill a position overseeing energy, environment and climate policies, the newspapers reported, citing unnamed Democratic party officials.

Browner once served as legislative director for former vice president and environmental advocate Al Gore when he was a member of the US Senate.
Obama also has decided to name Lisa Jackson, former head of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, to head the EPA. Nancy Sutley, a deputy mayor of Los Angeles for energy and environment, will lead the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the reports said.

ASSOCIATED PRESS: “President-elect Barack Obama, relatively young and inexperienced, is facing a rapidly growing list of monumental challenges as he prepares to take the reins of a nation in turmoil.”

Young and inexperienced? Now they tell us. Thought he was fresh and dynamic!

OK, he doesn't want to announce real specifics or give the current Admin any of his ideas or preside before his time. Chattering about the economy, fiscal stimlus, and boosting the auto industry -- sure, a big industry, but seems to go against his green policy -- why not say help to build hybrids, etc? I see it also as a cave-in to auto unions.
The First Lady Reagan gaffe was sooooo bad and the puppy story was soooooo naff.
Never been prolific about the Bush disaster, but you are proud to speculate about BO even if he doesn't have acomplished a day at the head of the USA.

Nobody's said anything about Biden's dog pick. Love those Democrats. Not a shelter doggie, but a pure-bred German shepherd. Uh huh. Guess the BO kids won't be visiting the Bidens. Wanna hazard a guess on the dog's name? How about George? Oh, I named a kitty George once. Poor thing was adopted by libbies who tied him to a stake in their garden.

Oooh, BO picks Pastor Warren to present the invocation at the inauguration. (How do you do that ululation sound?) Flicked thru the net news when I got home and far left libbie net MSNBC's Rachel Minnow was furious. Typical reaction for a bull dyke. But how do you fit gays into a mainstream religion? Mebbe he shoulda picked a muslim cleric or a rabbi. Hmmm, their religions don't accept gays either. So why pick on Christians? Hilarious choice. Guess BO is trying to pacify the evangelicals. Well, they do have more votes than the gay community.

Then tha damn car bailout. News emphasis on cutting exec bonuses, the jets and oh ya, like an afterthought, wage negotiations. Heck, the first two are a drop in the bucket compared to the union payouts. Showed a few union workers who couldn't even speak properly saying they already gave too much. FO.

And, then BO's Labour Secretary pick. Well, hello union land USA and bye bye secret ballots for unionising a shop.

One possible reason would be that this is the Obama news thread...
The other reason is, that such idle gossip's got naught to do with politics.

Any comments on Michelle's wardrobe or what the kids might or might not wear for school, Jet?

^ Yep, focus on the libbie press fuzzy news about the dogs and the dress, Panda (I add it for all you lala land libbies). I'm cracking up laughing over all the Chicago-style corruption that should soon be linked to Rahm at least. Where's that transparency BO promised throughout his campaign? 5555555 He's pulled the wool over your collective libbie eyes well and good. Just like he's done to the gay/lesbos over Pastor Warren at the inauguration. And lets see what porkie projects BO's gonna put that extra $800 bil into. Oh dear, glad I didn't move Stateside just yet.

^ 555 Well, I see none of you libbies have responded to the bigger issues. Still in the messiah bubble -- nooooo, he couldn't have cheated or talked to Blago, uh oh, he's hired a union-backer labour sec, he's against pork but is adding at least another $800 bil to his fiscal stimulus pkg when he gets into office, or what about gay/lesbian issues and Warren. Oh dear, your big fluffy bubble of comfort is starting to melt. Dam, those dam libbies are supposed to be so honest and pure. Too bad Blago's a Dem, eh?
Here's the touchy feely from the libbie press today: BO and fam are off to Hawaii for the hols. Awwwwwww.

Maybe some "libbie" might make the effort to comment if you presented those issues?
Presented in an informative way, with sources other than The Onion or your own disconnected ramblings.

Isn't there a Blago thread already, btw?

Where there is an "issue" to discuss I believe there has been response from both the libbies, centrists and conservatives. Responding to conclusions extrapolated from assumption without any semblance of proof are not likely to get any serious response. Those who feel compelled to trash McCain, Palin, Biden, America, or Obama without something more substantial than their own preconcieved unreseached opinin deserve the responses they get.

We all have opinions but your responses are a case study in extreme partinsinship and stubborn inflexabilty. No matter what a Republican does it is defensable and carries no "wrong" doing on their part. When an individual who happens to be a Democrat does anything, they are guilty, even by association, of everything from terroism, corruption, flip flopping and the eventual cause of the downfall of America.
