Why Obama Will Lose The Election?

Tom Hayden Predicts Obama Will Lose

DENVER -- Speaking at a luncheon hosted by the Denver Press Club at the Denver Athletic Club today, former California state legislator and '60s political activist Tom Hayden predicted that Barack Obama will lose the 2008 Election. "An African-American candidate talking about economics and a white war hero -- it's clear to me who is going to win," Hayden said.

Tom Hayden, is one vote. He is free to have his opinion. Everyone and anyone is free to have his/her opinion.

    But it's only....an opinion.

My opinion is: I don't know.

The polling is too far away at 8 weeks, and the electoral college complicates things.

We may not know until the day after the election.

Personally don't like the man, comes off as self-centered and arrogant. With that being said his death would cause so much trouble as in riots and race relations, in the end it would be better off to have in 4years and just vote his arse out.

That is a complex question that involves many, many factors.

    Whether win or lose.

It seems Mr. Hayden is still living in the 60's.

Most Americans however are not, which leads me to believe Obama will win by a comfortable, but not huge majority.

This is where our Euro friends and observers begin their new tact. They're subconsciously formulating plans and strategy just as the parties are.

When GWB leaves office there will be a hate void. I've commented before that W is merely a convenient target. McCain will make a decent, if not watered down, replacement. If Obama is elected, and a democrat Congress remains, our friends will be forced to switch gears.

They'll be in a quandary. I suspect the hate channel would be diverted toward the stupid American people, but if those imbeciles voted for the Messiah, that wouldn't work so nicely.

In any case, there is no way the resentment rhetoric will decrease only because Bush is leaving. Mark my words.

Copied, for posterity. Lets see then.
I reckon that you are wrong.

Incidentally, if I prove to be right Tex, what moral indignation are you going to replace your Persecution complex with?

An astute observation by Mr Hayden I think. The US simply isn't ready for a black man with a Muslim sounding name in my opinion. Nope, much better to go for the cartoonish, white, [inverted comas]war hero[inverted comas].

^Speaking of the war hero bit, and the abuse McCain says he suffered at the hands of his VC captors, Aljazeera is airing an expose where they went to Hanoi and interviewed the former head of his prison camp. It was interesting, of course the guy denied any abuse, and said the reason McCain can't raise his arms is he broke them in the fall from ejecting from the plane. He also says he wishes McCain luck. Evidently, there is a shrine erected where he fell into the lake, and also at the Hanoi Hilton, because of the fame of McCain now.

In keeping with the theme of why BO will lose, the subject of his vast experience keeps raising it's little head. Like WTF is a 'community organizer' anyhow?

"What deserves ridicule is the notion that Barack Obama’s brief stint as a South Side rabble-rouser for tax-subsidized, partisan non-profits qualifies as executive experience you can believe in.

What deserves derision is “community organizing” that relies of a community of homeless people and ex-cons to organize for the purpose of registering dead people and shaking down corporations and using the race card as a bludgeon."

And playing the Race Card again? heh...

"I know that I’m not your typical presidential candidate," Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told executives and employees of the Schott glass company Friday afternoon, "and I just want to be honest with you. I know that." "And I know that the temptation is to say, 'You know what? …The guy hasn’t been there that long in Washington.,' You know, 'he’s got funny name,' You know, 'we’re not sure about him,'"

Voting generally resolves to sentiment and this election is no different. Electing a geriatric because he fell out of an aeroplane always struck me as a long shot and I suspect when the moment comes most intelligent voters will plump for BO not least because he can still get an erection and his voice doesn't sound like a quavery old fart's.

Slip-ups like this one sure ain't going to help his cause:

    Obama said:
    My Muslim faith
Washington Times - Obama's verbal slip fuels his critics

ST. LOUIS, Mo. Sen Barack Obama's foes seized Sunday upon a brief slip of the tongue, when the Democratic presidential nominee was outlining his Christianity but accidentally said, "my Muslim faith."

The three words -- immediately corrected -- were during an exchange with ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "This Week," when he was trying to criticize the quiet smear campaign suggesting he is a Muslim.

But illustrating the difficulty of preventing false rumors about his faith from spreading, anti-Obama groups within one hour of the interview had sliced it out of context and were sending it around via email. They also were blogging about it.

Mr. Obama, who is a Christian and often proudly speaks about how his faith has influenced his public service, said he finds it "deeply offensive" that there are efforts "coming out of the Republican camp to suggest that perhaps I'm not who I say I am when it comes to my faith."
