Well it was possible due to the fact he is a working stiff. Union members are usually Democrats. Apparently not a union guy.

I've always pegged him more for that one kid at the party that acts more drunk than he is for the attention.

Scumbag republicans used a video of a disabled man interviewing Biden and doctored it to make it seem that Biden said he wants to defund the police. Which he repeatedly has said he doesn't.

When they go low... well they always do, they're just lying arseholes.

They're probably already looking at deepfake and whether or not they can get away with it.

A top GOP congressman tweeted a video on Saturday that altered the words of a disabled activist who interviewed Joe Biden, creating the false impression that Biden said he supported defunding police. Twitter flagged the video as "manipulated content" and the activist said the congressman owed an apology to "the entire disability community."
Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise, the second-ranking House Republican, shared the doctored clip from a July conversation between Biden and Ady Barkan, who has ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) and uses a computerized voice to speak.

Nothing keeping Trump from running television advertisements with those alterations. They started Monday.

Sory to disappoint you snubbs but if Biden is the answer for Democrats I feel they lost touch. BTW I'm not a Republican or a Democrat per say. I go with who at the time I believe will be better at doing the job.

We were doing great before covid 19 and I blame the CCP for that. Not the US president. Oh and I am for unions and have paid my dues. Have for years so let's not be too disappointed.

And no, I'm not liking what I'm seeing lately. Floyd was a tragedy but this last guy resisting arrest and going for a gun was stupid. You just don't do that these days.

Ok, I'm done with politics.....and religion.

That's both precisely none of your business and completely irrelevant to the actual point.

Jesus feeding the poor used to be called 'Christianity', if he came back and did it again today you and you ilk would want him locked up and deported for being an illegal immigrant / socialist / Muslim.

Praising your own generosity and piousness for giving a few dollars to charity doesn't change anything.

You are right it is none of my business but it is precisely the point if you sit back on your fat cat lawyer salary and do not give to help the poor you have no right to chastise anyone about getting your’s and screw the rest.

Nope it's none of your business and your imaginary scenarios aside not the point at all.

If you're voting to take social assistance away from others then what does it matter if you contribute a few dollars here and there. What sort of system / nation relies on charity instead of its own government.

So receiving money from other taxpayers is not charity you seem to ignore the fact that the U.S.government has no money the people paying taxes have the money.

    Correct.

Do you consider it charity to drive on taxpayer-funded roads? Use taxpayer funded services such as police and fire services...?

You seem to think that such an absurd comment matters.

I thought the measure of a good society was how well we take care of the poor the homeless and the less fortunate among us. How could I get it so wrong?

Indeed so you've got to wonder about any society that routinely demonizes the poor and makes healthcare a matter of $$$

Why has it taken so long to find the best peace-maker?

Joe Biden: Democratic presidential candidate nominated for Nobel Peace Prize by Labour MP Chris Bryant

Mr Biden joins President Donald Trump on the list of nominees for the prize, which will be awarded in October.

Joe Biden has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Labour MP Chris Bryant, Sky News can reveal.

The Democratic presidential candidate now joins President Donald Trump on the list of nominees as the race for the White House enters its final stages.

Mr Bryant, a member of the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee and chair of the Standards and Privileges Committee, said Mr Biden deserved to be nominated for his dedication to argument and political debate during a turbulent time in American politics.

He added: "When American cities have been in flames and citizen has been pitched against citizen, Joe has been a calming influence to bear.

"When others have resorted to violent solutions, he has argued that the best force is the force of argument because guns can stop a heart but well-placed words can change many hearts and many hearts can change the world."

The nomination comes just ahead of the first presidential debate between the candidates.

Peace prize nominations can be made by members of governments and international courts of law, university chancellors, professors of social science, history, philosophy, law and theology; leaders of peace research institutes and institutes of foreign affairs.

The prize will be awarded on 9 October this year and is decided by a committee.

Naturally. Didn't you know? It's poor people's fault for being poor. They were obviously lazy, unlike the hard working rich people who are burdened with such high taxes to support the lazy. I shed a tear for the Don the other day when I saw he paid $750 tax. It's time the rich rose up and protested at these injustices and dont get me started on the mentally and physically disabled that sit on their asses all day in a wheelchair.

It's an unfair burden that a man who was forced to spend x320 more on his hair and a porn star has to shoulder that much tax!
