    Is that how people in Delaware talk? Or is it how white Democratic politicians speak when they’re using dialect to talk down to black voters? What’s next, Preacher Joe? Spirituals? Or are you going to carry around copies of “A Raisin in the Sun” and “To Kill a Mockingbird”?

    Team Obama tried to defend Biden, but it was nonsensical babbling.

    this week's most amusing sign of republican desperation:

    sarah palin, john mccain and various right wing media outlets are saying that obama should drop biden and draft hillary...because biden is bad for the ticket.

    so let me see if i've got this right....the republicans expect people to believe that the democrats should drop biden and draft hillary because it would make for a stronger ticket? they really expect people to believe that republicans want a stronger democratic ticket?



    if you'll remember back a few months, other republicans were saying essentially the same thing....and of course knowledgeable people just raised an eyebrow and laughed at the rubes who were buying this fantasy.


    the cold hard facts are that biden connects with voters in OH, PA, MI, and IA in ways that romney never will.

    while the right wing 'tards will echo what they read in the extreme corners of the blogosphere, biden isn't going anywhere.

    So they are sending Joe Biden to Tampa during the Republican Convention. You could call it childish and amateurish but President Obama has been in office for over three years now. What it is is Obama being himself. It is the work of a common street agitator. Disrupt for the sake of disruption. Distract for the sake of distraction. Common street agitator tactics.

I wouldn't know who pioneered these, as you call them, street agitator tactics- but there always seems to be a Romnibus parked prominently near Democrat events & conventions, with a gaggle of the faithful holding their (generally misspelt) placards.     Ever hear of the Chicago Seven? It's no coincidence Obama was drawn to Chicago.

    Traditionally, the two politically parties tone it down during the other party's national convention. The desperate Democrats, with the street agitator as their leader have chosen to violate the tradition. Why should we be surprised? he has no respect for the office he holds or for tradition in general.

    Call me an eternal optimist, but I am hoping that now the Democrats & DemPACs have rolled their shirt sleeves up and joined the Republicans in the political mosh pit, both parties will be given pause to reflect on the downward trajectory of US electioneering, in every respect. There is no question that in recent (post Reagan) history, the GOP employed these downscale tactics much more aggressively though.

    Mutually bleating whilst pointing the finger with one hand, and slinging mud back with the other, makes for a most amusing game but a poor democratic process. What to do about it is the real question, surely.

    Vice President Joe Biden at first forgot to mention cheerleaders at a recent visit to Newport High School in Newport, N.H, though some were quick to remind him. "Biden left the cheerleaders off the list but was quickly reminded by the group of girls."

    Responded Biden, "They are amazing. You think I'm joking. You think I'm joking. They're almost all gymnasts. The stuff they do on hardwood, it absolutely blows my mind, thinking, you know, they're up there without a net. You know?"

    Not long after Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz told seniors at Century Village of Boca Raton they could be socked with $6,300 a year in higher Medicare costs under Mitt Romney, Vice President Joe Biden acknowledged the figure is based on an analysis of an outdated plan.

    But Biden argued it’s fair for Democrats to keep using the number, anyway.
    U.S. Rep. Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston, was one of the speakers who took the stage before Biden on Friday at the heavily Democratic condo community.
    “We know that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan unapologetically support an extreme budget plan that would end Medicare as we know it and turn it into a voucher program, shred the health care safety net that exists for our seniors and increase their premiums, your premiums, by more than $6,300 a year. That is unacceptable,” Wasserman Schultz told the senior-dominated crowd of about 800.

    The $6,300 figure Wasserman Schultz cited is based on an old version of Ryan’s plan. And that plan was for people who are now 54 and younger, so her reference to “your premiums” wouldn’t apply to most of the audience at Century Village.

    When Biden spoke, he noted the $6,300 or $6,400 figure that Wasserman Schultz and other Democrats frequently repeat is based on a Congressional Budget Office analysis of Ryan’s 2011 plan, not the revised version Ryan proposed and the GOP-controlled House approved this year. CBO hasn’t analyzed the new plan’s impact on beneficiaries.

    “The press is out there, and these are good women and men. … They say that we’re being a little unfair,” Biden said.

    “CBO said the plan, the first plan that the press somehow thinks it’s unfair for us to talk about, would raise the cost for every senior by $6,400 a year. … Well the press accurately points out, they accurately say, ‘You know what, they changed that plan, so why do you keep bringing it up?’ ” Biden said.

    “Well the reason I bring it up, I think it’s fair to bring it up. If Congressman Ryan felt so strongly about insisting that this plan become law and if Gov. Romney said he would have signed it into law, which he did, if he were president, then it goes to their motive. It goes to who you believe,” Biden said.
