I agree that family ought to be off-limits, but we know in politics it will be used. Also (gasp!) she apparently was an atheist.

Yep, that church vid is the regular kind of smear issued by the Huff'n'Puff Post.
If she is not VP, it will be because she will withdraw for family or personal reasons. The Dems hate her because she comes across as too clear and clean, and she's not a bulldog like Hilly.

You're right, Atta. The Reps are too polite to do smears like that. But, who wants a bastard for prez?

I haven't come across any reports or speculation that Palin will not be VP. No reports of her stepping down or being replaced. It sounds like she solid.

IMO, the Repubs are far more brutal, organized, and calculating when it comes to smearing, than the Demos.

Palin is a real Murphy Brown and not some Hollywood character that everyone looked up to as if she was real. The Left can't stand that she is not one of them.

i don't think she'll quit, but i think we can all agree by this point the mccain camp is wishing they actually did a thorough vetting.

i didn't realize that obama's mother was running for vice president and had spent years forcing 'abstinence only' policies on americans.

A Feb. 11, 2007 letter to the governor's business partner advises that the car wash had "not filed its biennial report and/or paid its biennial fees," which were more than a year overdue.

The warning letter was written on state letterhead, which carried Palin's name at the top, next to the state seal.

On April 3, 2007, the state went further and issued a "certificate of involuntary dissolution" because of the car wash's failure to file its report and pay state licensing fees.

Gawd, the lefties are falling like flies for the GOP strategy. The GOP was counting on vicious attacks on Sarah, and of course there will be a back lash, as many Women are still a bit upset about the Hillary having the nomination snatched from her by a man and then the same Obama supporters are attacking this other women for being less than “perfect.” The GOP thinks this could be swing needed, and the dems are so stupid they didn’t see it and haven fallen feet first into this GOP laid trap. Who are the dems going to convince with these vicious attacks on Sarah? These attacks will turn off voters even if Obama tries to distance himself.

Will the dems self-destruct by being suckered into a lose-lose position by the GOP like so many times before?

Ya gotta admit, dems ain’t so good at playing the political strategy game. This one was easy to see, I am not sure it will work but the dems should have seen this coming and been prepared.

So name some of these 'vicious attacks' on Sarah. All that I've seen is pretty tame.

Her daughter is pregnant- there may be some slander surrounding that, but I have yet to see it.
She has hired lawyers for an ethics investigation- it's true, hardly a vicious attack.
Large amount of federal funds raised for her town when she was Mayor- thats more like a backhanded compliment.
She is offside with the Republican establishment in Alska- which is true, but thats maybe because she's busted several of them for corruption.

Really, all these Wacko Obama stories are old and lame now. What is the Wacko Left saying about Sarah?
I've heard absolutely no juicy stuff myself. Stuff like Obama stuff- an Arab, a Moslem, a Commie, an associate of terrorists- y'know, good stuff like that.
