Along with those always amusing #OWS folks we see Sarah Palin back n the news as well with some profound words about Obama:

"It is nothing short of appalling that President Obama couldn't even remember how much our national debt is during his interview with David Letterman the other night. Even my 10-year-old daughter knows that it's $16 trillion, and unlike Obama, she's not responsible for adding trillions to it."

Ol' Sarah is stretching out her 15 minutes. Well, she has a small clique of followers that will pull the lever for Romney already.

    Waste of air time.

    Bye, Sarah.

another stupid fuckin' ass republican outa work

    go figure

Call it another pitiful ending for Sarah Palin.

In what looks like a Friday afternoon leak-dump, RealClearPolitics first reported that Fox News had not renewed Palin's contract to be an analyst. That report was based on an unnamed source.

Brian Stelter, of the New York Times, later confirmed it on Twitter.

And so ends most of what's left of Palin's fling with fame since 2008, when she was named the GOP vice presidential candidate in a craven act John McCain should never be able to fully live down.

Fox News signed her in January of 2010 to be an analyst, complete with a $1 million studio built in her home in Wasilla.

Her contract ended Dec. 31, 2012, and was not renewed.

I wonder what happens to the studio now. It's a far more interesting question than what happens to Palin, who now ranks somewhere around Kate Gosselin in relevance and public opinion.

    Landreth,

That fact that not only was she hired as an "analyst" but given a $1 million dollar studio shows how much of an oddity Fox news is.

Fox has not credibility, except for its niche market of followers.

Contrast the adulatory fanfare of her release to an unsuspecting public, to the desultory silence accompanying her release back into the wilderness. Oh the ignominy. Was she just not conservative enough, or too far ahead of her time?

7 Dumbest Things Sarah Palin Said On Fox News

    1. Rahm Emannuel and Family Guy can't say "retard" but Limbaugh can, because Limbaugh is a satirist.

    2. "I voted for the cheerful one"

    3. "We would create law based on the God of the Bible and the Ten Commandments. It's pretty simple."

    4. "If [the Tea Party were] really domestic terrorists, President Obama would want to pal around with us."

    5. "Well first of all, Nancy Pelosi is a dingbat."

    6. Affordable Care Act is "Treachery"

    7. "Are we just a bunch of numbskulls out here in the heartland of America?"

Good job you rubes. You made one dip shit republican one rich bitch that must be still laughing all the way to the bank (and at you).

According to a news analysis by the Smart Politics project of the the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, during former Gov. Sarah Palin’s tenure as a contributor to Fox News—which ended last week with the decision not to renew her contract—Palin was paid $15.85 per word she spoke on the network. Given that Palin and her family are now primarily working as entertainers, rather than as public servants, commercial fishermen, or even spokeswomen for teen pregnancy prevention, it seems worth taking a look at how well that’s working out for the Palins—and the people who’ve employed them. : Sarah Palin's Entertainment Career By The Numbers

-$1 million: Sarah Palin’s annual salary as a Fox News analyst.

-189,221: Words Palin spoke on Fox during her three-year contract.

-$1.25 million: Palin’s advance for her memoir Going Rogue.

-469,000: copies of Going Rogue sold in its first week on the market. The memoir would go on to sell 2,670,000 copies in 2009.

-797,955: Copies of America By Heart, Palin’s second book, sold in 2010.

-$100,000: Palin’s speakers’ fee, as negotiated by the Washington Speakers Bureau, as of 2010.

-$200,000: The reported low estimate for Palin’s per-episode fee for Sarah Palin’s Alaska, her TLC show, which ran for a single season. One of the reasons the show ultimately wasn’t renewed? Palin’s salary demands for a second year.

-3.2 million: The average number of viewers who tuned in to Sarah Palin’s Alaska. She earned additional fees for the weeks she survived elimination.

-$15,000-$30,000: Bristol Palin’s range of speaker’s fees, as of 2010.

-$125,000: Bristol Palin’s base salary for her appearance on Dancing With The Stars.

-$354,348: Alaska tax subsidies for Bristol Palin’s reality show, Life’s A Tripp.

-726,000: Number of viewers who tuned in to Life’s A Tripp. Unsurprisingly, Lifetime cancelled the show after two airings.

-5.24 million: The number of viewers who tuned in to the first episode of Stars Earn Stripes, a 2012 NBC reality show in which Todd Palin and other celebrities competed to earn money for charities of their choice. That number fell to 2.88 million by the finale, and the show has yet to be renewed.

Scarborough on Palin: Fox News chief decided ‘she’s not worth the trouble’

“Finally, there’s an understanding: we’ve gotta grow the party,” Scarborough told his panelists. “What we’ve been saying for, quite frankly, years and getting attacked. ‘We want Colin Powell on our side. We want moderate Republicans on our side.’”

Palin’s contract with the network was not renewed after a three-year stint as a contributor, with Ailes allegedly calling the former governor of Alaska “stupid” in private.

“Are you saying that pushing her out of the spotlight is part of making ‘the stupid party’ less stupid?” co-host Mika Brzezinski asked.

there's a handful here that would also make the party look less stupid if they left/or were pushed out of that party

I watched the video. This woman doesn't know what the fuck she's doing.

WTF Field and Stream.: Sarah Palin's Shooting | Field & Stream

Ms. Palin is an extremely inexperienced shooter.

First, she allows her dad and the guide, who are both apparently nitwits, to jabber at her continually throughout the performance, make suggestions, swap rifles when it turns out that the first one has a bum scope (!), and allow her to blaze away at a moving animal.

An experienced shooter knows that when he (she) picks up a gun, he (she) is responsible for it, and the way it works. If you have doubts about its safety, you don’t use it. Before you shoot at something living, you check to see if it’s sighted in. Period. No excuses.

If nitwits are yammering at you, you tell them to shut the f**ck up because you can’t concentrate. No experienced shooter would put up with their nonsense.

An experienced shooter would not ask if a rifle kicks before using it in the heat of battle. That would not be uppermost in their mind; getting the animal down would be.

Why, before the fatal shot was fired, did the editor of the film superimpose a bogus crosshair on the poor dopey caribou? Why do we not see Ms. Palin firing the rifle? Is it because she did not do the shooting?

Finally, look at the way she carries the rifle as the party walks up to the late lamented ungulate. No experienced shooter carries a rifle like this.

I have nothing in particular against Sarah Palin. But I do believe in watching politicians with a critical eye, especially if they try to palm themselves off as something they’re not. She undoubtedly hunts, and is undoubtedly is OK with guns, but to say that as a shooter she’s anything but a rank beginner is wishful thinking.

Palin to Obama: 'You Lie', 'Do Your Job'

In a blistering CPAC speech on Saturday in which she sipped a Big Gulp soda to mock Mayor Michael Bloomberg's soda cup ban--and the liberal nanny state, in general--former Alaska Gov. and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin reserved her harshest words for President Barack Obama regarding gun control, the budget, and leadership.

Palin said Obama promised the most transparent administration ever but has been mired in crony capitalism and has not even passed a budget. She said refusing to pass a budget is not "just bureaucratic bungling," it is "refusing to declare what" Obama intends to do with the people's money.

"Barack Obama, you lie!" Palin said of Obama's transparency claims.

Now step away from the Teleprompter, and do your job

Well, it's not like we don't already know he lies...

Well, must have hit a nerve with that spot-on definition then, eh?

"In political science, statism (French: étatisme) is the belief that a government should control either economic or social policy, or both."

Pretty much sums up a Liberals point of view. That, and 'you didn't build that' but it takes a committee to accomplish a task.

Heh...might have used 'statist' 1/2 dozen times on here but y'all spit out 'teabagger' at the drop of a hat!

CPAC put the ever-fearless Sarah Palin back in the spotlight. Let's have a look at just who would you rather have in Big White with the NORKs launch one of their rockets at the good 'ol USA, eh?

    You want this?:

Or don't you think the following examples qualify Ms. Palin over Obama?

    She hunts

    She brings home the bacon,

Cooks it up in a pan,

    She chops wood,

    She bikes,

    She fishes,

    She mushes,

    She shoots,

Who would you you rather have in your fox hole when NoKo and Iran lob one over the net?

That interceptor expansion had originally been proposed by the Bush administration until President Obama, in 2009, stopped it.”

Got an idea. Let's go with someone that shoots straight, eh?

    As opposed to?

    Material ripped from here

    Anarchist?

    For supporting:

    Eliminate Excessive Taxes

    Eliminate the National Debt

    Eliminate Deficit Spending

Abide by the Constitution of the United States

    Promote Civic Responsibility

Reduce the Overall Size of Government

    And So Forth

But we guess those ideals don't mesh with your Statist point of view, huh?

The power of the state was used to slash government taxes, with all of that lost revenue effectively going into the hands of an already wealthy few. Larger society stagnated, and the US government ran ever deeper into debt. The 1998 Global financial collapse was a direct result of these policies, enacted by the power of the state. The global financial system was saved by the power of the US government, but since then the stark inequality in US society has gotten still worse- the rich richer, the middle classes stagnant or poorer, the poor poorer. Social mobility in the 'land of opportunity' now lags that of Europe.

The power of the state most certainly needs to be used to rectify the situation, back towards something sustainable.

What does Sarah have to do with all this, one might ask. Nothing, is the answer. She's a sideshow, already put out to pasture.
