I agree Norton. With very few exceptions, you live by the rules of the country you're in. In Thailand we face different, silly laws. But if you don't like it, move.
These minxes and homos face the unfortunate consequences of being in Iran when they were caught. The penalty happens to be death by stoning. Sucks to be them.
Do you think it serves as a deterrent to would-be prostitutes and gays?
Not sure. Depends on the individual.Originally Posted by Texpat

In the case of gays. Depends on the argument that homosexuality is a choice or a genetic thing. If a choice seems the prospect of being stoned would over ride the need to have ones stool pushed in. If genetic, I sure as hell would be staying deep in the closet.

"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect,"
I changed it to gays to take the sting out for some of our swishy members.
I don't agree that capital punishment is a suitable sentence for these offences. But, if the majority of the country feel it is just ... C'est la vie.
What I find extremely distasteful is that a modern, thriving, nuclear power still resorts to this kind of barbarism. Chilling.

so the fact that I lived in the USA for 12 years, have property and investments there and possibly pay more taxes and contribute more to the US economy than you do still makes my opinions wrong and irrelevant?Originally Posted by blackgang

You slip into the American stereotype very well Tex.
Tell us more -- we're dying to hear.
Tell us about your American stereotype.
Figured you could covertly slip this one through did ya!Originally Posted by Texpat

^^Involves lots of sarchasm (aka - the lowest form of wit).
^^ They have a different set of values. Not saying they're better or worse than the west, but different.
If they see nothing wrong with burying a woman up to her chest and stoning her slowly until she dies a slow, bloody, horrific death ... if they can justify that in the name of their religion ...

Who is us? who exactly are you speaking for?Originally Posted by Texpat

The funny thing (or should I rather say the ironic and inconsistent thing) is that the stoning to death penalty has been going on for many centuries and it is only now that the practice is virtually finished that some individuals are showing such moral outrage against a country opposed to the interests of the west, and particularly USA, in the Middle East.
While I find the death penalty, and particularly the barbaric practice of stoning, abhorrent, I am sure the supporters of USAs "interests" in the Middle East would be more than happy to overlook such a practice if the Iranian government was more accommodating to US financial interests. Vilifying foreign governments and/or their citizens in the popular western media has more to do with the degree they cooperate with us financially than any moral arguments re right or wrong.
Just take a look at our double standards, -- Iran = bad. Saudi Arabia = good.
Very little difference there between the two countries re the application of radical Islamic Sharia law. One is a democracy and one is a Royal dictatorship. Which one should we support?

Come on Flash, just get it outta your system. Let 'er fly!
You know you've been biting your tongue for such a long time now.
It'll be theraputic. Besides, you're an expert.
^^ Lopping of a thief's hand in a public square anywhere is barbaric -- whether it's in Riyadh or Tehran.

Maybe we should think about attacking Saudi Arabia then? Stirring up public outrage and vilifying an opponent is the first step in promoting a war.
Naw, we got the Saudi dictators in our pocket so not much point attacking them.
Regime change elsewhere has a higher priority. Whats a few thiefs hands between friends?

I have better things to do with my time, you continue to live in your little bubble.Originally Posted by Texpat

They do breed Islamic extremists though. And I'd like to find ways to rid the planet of that scourge.
Actually, whilst I don't doubt that's true, the Saudi's also have a very large amount of cash invested in the US. Were it to be pulled out it would have catrostrophic consequences for the US economy.
Point's still the same though; Freedom & Democracy(c) be damned as long as they're our kind of dictatorship/brutally oppressive regime/military strongman/etc
Blackgang starts a thread about Iran and entitles it "Rag head rock throwers" thus informing us of about one of his fucked up opinions.
He then goes on and says:
He even goes further and runs his mouth:Well you can have an opinion on things in America even if you ain't American.
But if that be the case then they will be wrong, irrevelent, useless and shows your stupidity to voice them.
First of all you don't give a rat's ass about Iran and people being executed. You are just an ignorant red neck who is just good for drinking piss and getting laid in one of the dirtiest brothels with the cheapest of whores. Not really, Iran doesn't have the brains or wherewithal to do things in a civilized manner and are not intellectually capable to govern themselves
You say Iranians are uncivilized?? What the fuck do you know about Iran and its history?? Stupid Fuck, do you even know that they had the longest and one of the biggest empires?? They ruled for a millennium you ass wipe. Your stupidity is highlighted in your posts. First you voice your opinions by calling Iranians as Rag heads then you say that if a person doesn't belong to a country he shouldn't voice his opinions because it is gonna be irrelevant and stupid.Actually you should not voice your fucked up opinions because you really look and sound and are stupid.
We all know that Iran is being ruled by a tight regime of Ayatullahs who won't let go easily because they came to power by the will of their people promising real Islamic values. Do you know why the people of Iran over threw the Shah?? Guess what you old Cun't hair?? Because America over threw the democratically elected Prime minister of Iran Muhammed Mussadegh through a covert operation by the CIA and installed the Puppet Shah in AUG of 1953 just because he nationalized Iran's oil . Obviously America denies it but it is the truth and a lil research might open your eyes. Yes the Ayatullahs came in to power but they turned out to be one sick fucks, who enforced the strictest versions of Islam, which is typical for all power greedy fucks from east to west but differs in intensity. Once they came in they never left.
So before you call Iranians uncivilized and run your loud Yank mouth go do some research.
P.S: Other members ignore the rough language because I am dealing with a cun't hair over here who tars every one with the same brush. Thank you all.

I think its pretty obvious to all that Blackgang is suffering from senile dementia (loss of intellectual ability).
we should be kind to the old chap and humour him as any of us could end up the same way in 40 or 50 years time.
Didn't think rants like that were allowed in issues.
Perhaps the rules have eased a bit.
Oh! come on Tex, you don't give a toss about rules. I find BG's thread title and his continuous anti- Muslim rants far more offending and I ignored them in the beginning but some times he must face the bitter truth so I thought why not now.
He calls us smelly cun'ts and rag heads so he should be ready for it. Anyway I had a message and I conveyed it. I don't gove a toss what he feels or thinks.
