In this day and age there is help and care available. You may not want to receive help as you believe you can deal with it yourself, this is not always possible. Severe depression can be cured, it takes time but is curable.
I have no sympathy for the parent(s) it says in the report that some of the kids were his the twins were not. This does not absolve you from a duty of care. I know it will not happen but it should read for both parents.
