That is a central part of the Christian understanding of 'god'. He is the creator.

Yes, that he's a "seperate entity" existing above and beyond us, his creations, which is where the whole idea goes down the tubes.

It's all the same thing - just a slightly different flavour, depending on who you talk to.
I disagree, the 'flavours' differ strongly, from Paganism to Christianity, Islam to Hinduism.
What they have all in common is the belief in intelligent 'godly' forces beyond/behind the appearance of the natural world and beyond human understanding.

A misunderstanding, I do not claim religions are essentially a scam, but the criticism voiced against them is valid. As per 'god', I clarified Einstein/Spinoza's position, which I respect, but my beliefs are not identical.

I thought it was Archbishop Usher who said that. Where in the bible does it say it?

God exists, it's a subatomic particle that links us all as per the OT

People are individuals and they believe in different things God is one of them, and no I would not call you a liar, you have the right to your own opinion. But at the same time I will ask if you also believe that God created the world we live in, cause that's a bit harder to swallow.
Well If I believe in God then I believe in the bible so the answer to your question is yes.

It doesn't but if you track back through the list of all the descendants on Adam and Eve it appears to be somewhere between below 10,000 years old.

Apologies for misrepresenting your position. I should probably add that I was probably being a bit glib regarding religions, since buried under some their mythologies are underlying truths about compassion, karma and decent behavior. Although I reject most of the specific Christian and Buddhist doctrines, I still feel a closeness to both religions because of some of the underlying truths that they represent.

Oh yes. Genesis Chapter 5 BIBLE: Genesis 5.

Truly a factual account (note the life spans). No mention of Cain's (the third human) descendants after he left Eden and took a wife. Where did she come from? Oh, never mind that part covered by "interpretation" Cain married his sister even though no mention of Adam and Eve ever bearing her. For a limited time only, God said marrying a sister was OK because in the beginning of the world, mankind could not otherwise be propagated.

There's plenty of links, here's another there says about 6000 years old
How old is the earth according to the Bible?

I guess that the dinosaurs and other findings from millions of years back, is just propaganda from none believing evil cults...

Wonder why? Must have been the advanced health care system and medical technology available at the time and somehow lost over a relatively short time. Note Ramses II the longest lived Pharaoh, lived to the ripe old age of 91.

I don't remember I think it was a Thursday. Yes that's right because I normally do my shopping on a Thursday but I had to wait in that day for a delivery of hellfire and brimstone.

You's atheists can bring it on by the way. What the fok do I care. Do you think I enjoy sitting listening to a bunch bleaters whining for my divine intercession. Fok the lot of 'em. I'm off to Pat's for the weekend to tie one on.
