Boycotting the games will give some people the feeling they have done some monumental good for the people of Tibet but will have absolutely no effect on the behavior of the Chinese government. Leave the Olympics be as it will at best cause only a short lived embarrassment for the Chinese and accomplish nothing in the end.
As for me, Tibet is no different than Texas in the 1830s. Maybe Texas should become independent or given back to Mexico.;)
