In regard to The Guardian article:

Sure it would be easier for the world to kiss and make up with the US if Obama is elected. But in general I think the world will kiss and make up with anyone – as long as it isn’t Bush. The world will give McCain a chance, it will be up to him (McCain) if he wants to repair some of those relationships or not. I thin Sarkozy and McCain as well as Merkel and McCain will get along just fine.
