She might have to become a lawyer again to make back her money. Seems a waste of resources now.
^If I were she and Bill, I'd seriously be thinking that as this erodes their personal fortune, is it really worth it? I guess it is, as this is her last real chance to grab the brass ring. She won't have another shot, and they can always keep earning.
Here it comes. Finally, the tired old party heavyweights are using their pussy liberal Clinton appeaser pea brains.
McGovern, former Clinton backer, endorses Obama
Quote:
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Former Sen. George McGovern, an early supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton, urged her to drop out of the Democratic presidential race and endorsed her rival, Barack Obama.
Quote:
After watching the returns from the North Carolina and Indiana primaries Tuesday night, McGovern said Wednesday it's virtually impossible for Clinton to win the nomination. The 1972 Democratic presidential nominee said he had a call in to former President Clinton to tell him of the decision, adding that he remains close friends with the Clintons.
BLAH, throw up....Quote:
"I will hold them in affection and admiration all of my days," he said of the Clintons.

What a destructive, opportunistic bitch.
How can anybody support such a venomous person, even if she's the last candidate for the party?
Anybody on this forum support her if she eventually wins over Obama? Anybody?
Otherwise, we all have to vote and support McCain.
Bitch, scorched earth cvnt.
Hillary Clinton says she'll stay in the presidential race
Quote:
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Hillary Rodham Clinton says she will remain in the presidential race "until there's a nominee." The former first lady declined to say whether that meant through the roll call of the states at the Democratic National Convention this summer.
Hillary Clinton says she'll stay in the presidential race - Yahoo! NewsQuote:
Clinton also disclosed that she had loaned her campaign an additional $6.4 million in recent weeks, additional evidence that her once front-runner campaign was in deep trouble.
She told reporters the loans were a sign of her commitment to her quest for the White House. She earlier loaned herself $5 million as she struggled to keep up with a better-financed Obama campaign.
She will tear this party apart.
raycarey, do you still support her if Obama loses the primary to her? Do you then support what she's doing to your beloved political party?
Ray, we're waiting to hear if you support Hilary should she win the nomination.
You've been strangely silent on this issue....
Y'all can dance around it all you want but bottom line - the election of the next US President will boil down to race:
"Obama did manage to pull in many white voters, but still encountered similar sentiments from a man who refused to shake his hand at a diner in Greenwood, Ind.
"I can't stand him," the man said. "He's a Muslim. He's not even pro-American as far as I'm concerned."
Lots more sentiment like that above, out there lads...;)
Ugly truth why Hillary Clinton won't quit
Here's the quote today (7 May) from my Barack Obama daily e-mail updates:
"News broke this morning that Senator Clinton made three separate loans to her campaign in the past 30 days -- including one as recently as Monday.
These loans total more than $6.4 million, which combined with her previous personal loans, add up to at least $11.4 million she's loaned her campaign since February.
A spokesman said she may continue to "loan the campaign additional money out of her jointly-held assets" -- which include more than $100 million in income since her husband left the White House.
Meanwhile, by winning a double-digit victory in North Carolina and closing the gap in Indiana, Barack won another 100 delegates.
Barack Obama is now just 169 delegates away from winning the Democratic nomination. It's within sight.
This is a decisive moment in this race.
Barack has already won more votes, more delegates, and more than twice as many states as Senator Clinton, whose path to the nomination has grown extremely narrow. But these loans show that her campaign will continue to contest the remaining primaries vigorously."

^ Chinthee and me is we.
A pussy? From George McGovern's biography on Wikipedia:
"He volunteered for the United States Army Air Force during World War II and served as a B-24 bomber pilot in the Fifteenth AirForce, flying 35 missions over enemy territory from bases in North Africa and later, often against heavy anti-aircraft artillery. McGovern was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for saving his crew by landing his damaged bomber on an airfield on a small Mediterranean island controlled by the British."
Too bad old George McGovern can't be a real man like George Bush, Dick Cheney and other chicken-hawks who never considered putting their own lives on the line to defend their country.
^good post.

we're waiting to hear about your military service record.
you've been strangely silent on this issue......
^^Yeah, of course. I didn't mean that he was a coward personally, but what I meant is that the democratic leadership has been too cowardly to get behind Obama.
Pussy liberal is a term of endearment I used to describe confused, timid and cowardly democrats. :)
I'm sure the Democrats are not relying on the vote of folks such as this well informed gentlemen to propel them to a win. He is and will remain steadfastly a hardcore Republican who won't be fooled by the crazy rants of a black Muslim guy whose sole agenda is the downfall of the American way.:rolleyes:Quote:

Pompus bitch.
Ray, I don't dodge relevant on-topic questions unlike some people on this board. My military service record is not relevant to the fact that the Democratic Superdelegates and democratic leadership have been weak and stupidly lacking decisiveness on supporting Obama. As a result, they are allowing Hilary to tear the party apart, and leave Obama as a weakened candidate.
By the way, ask me in a relevant thread, on topic, about my service record and I'd be glad to answer. ;)
If the blue team wanted to end all this they could, and they could do it today. All it would take is for the remaining super delegates to make a decision. Why don’t they?
Because they be scared – the party is so split that many of the remaining super delegates are simply afraid to take a stance in fear of pissing off the folks that back the candidate they did not pick.

…while others are wary of alienating Democrats in their home states or congressional districts by publicly declaring support for one of the two rivals.
Why won't superdelegates choose now?
Democratic officials could end Clinton-Obama impasse, but probably won't
how long have you been against the democratic process?Quote:

try to keep in mind that the DNC set the primary schedule and the date of the convention.
some here need to at least attempt to calm their hysterics and try to remember that the election is six months from now....and the convention isn't even until august.
christ with the way some of you are blathering on and wailing towards the heavens, you'd think it was next week.
well it seems you and the 527s have got a decision to make......will it be guilt by association or flat out lies?Quote:

In spite of the arguments all have seen in my posts, I am..... "gasp".... a registered Republican who happens to believe America is in dire need of leadership which will take it away from the partisan politics and ill considered consequences of both domestic and foriegn policies we have seen for the last sixteen years. Yes I did say sixteen because even though things went pretty well for Hillary's hubby, he and Dems in congress are to some degree responsible for the sad state America finds itself in today as regards to ill considered foriegn policy.
For those who think America is doing just fine, by all means cast your vote for McCain because his Economic and Foreign policies will ensure we will get a continuation of those under GWB's administration.
For those who think there needs to be a profound change then Obama is the only one who has both the policies and leadership charisma to have any hope of making the changes needed.
IMO, Hillary is finished and the Dems will pull together under an Obama candidacy who will defeat McCain in the Presidential run. Let's not forget, the long Dem primary has a silver lining for the Dems. They continue to bring huge numbers of registered Dems into the process increasing their already large lead over the Republicans. The number of Hillary supporters that will not vote for Obama will not be even close to 50% as advertised in current polls. Hillary still has a political future and as much as she will not take defeat easily, she will do all she can to make sure her supporters vote the Dem ticket in November.
Even the Republican strategists know they have an incredible challenge beating Obama and IMO it is a challenge they will not overcome no matter how hard they attempt their oft used character assassination tactic.
spot on. in november, it's not even going to be close in important swing states.Quote:

PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Sen. John McCain championed legislation that will let an Arizona rancher trade remote grassland and ponderosa pine forest here for acres of valuable federally owned property that is ready for development, a land swap that now stands to directly benefit one of his top presidential campaign fundraisers.Initially reluctant to support the swap, the Arizona Republican became a key figure in pushing the deal through Congress after the rancher and his partners hired lobbyists that included McCain's 1992 Senate campaign manager, two of his former Senate staff members (one of whom has returned as his chief of staff), and an Arizona insider who was a major McCain donor and is now bundling campaign checks.
When McCain's legislation passed in November 2005, the ranch owner gave the job of building as many as 12,000 homes to SunCor Development, a firm in Tempe, Ariz., run by Steven A. Betts, a longtime McCain supporter who has raised more than $100,000 for the presumptive Republican nominee.
of course they didn't. :rolleyes:Quote:
