    Oh, Africa...Kenya Ethnic cleansing now?

    Kenya death toll near 250

By Daniel Wallis and Wangui Kanina 59 minutes ago

NAIROBI (Reuters) - A mob torched a Kenyan church on Tuesday, killing about 30 villagers cowering inside, as the death toll from ethnic riots triggered by President Mwai Kibaki's disputed re-election approached 250.

"This is the first time in history that any group has attacked a church. We never expected the savagery to go so far," police spokesman Eric Kiraithe said.
The attack revived traumatic memories in east Africa of the slaughter in churches of tens of thousands of victims of Rwanda's 1994 genocide, and the mass suicide of hundreds of Ugandan cult members in a church fire in 2000.
Police said more than 70,000 people had been displaced nationwide and about 170 killed. Reuters reporters around Kenya estimated the death toll at around 250.

Two U.S. sailors found dead in hotel room in Ghana

The sailors, who were not identified, were stationed aboard the Fort McHenry, a 600-foot (185-metre) dock landing ship based in Little Creek, Virginia.
The vessel was docked in the Ghanaian port of Tema, some 18 miles east of the capital Accra, as part of a U.S. naval partnership program in West Africa.
During a six-month mission, the Fort McHenry will train West African navies to fight drug smuggling and maritime security threats in a region which supplies nearly a fifth of U.S. oil imports.

Are we surprised. The citizens of Africa seem to know only one way to resolve disputes. Kill all those who disagree with you. Losing a close election is excuse enough to kill, pillage and rape. Again validates my choice to remain in Thailand, a civilized country where the biggest incident in an election is the issue of a few red cards!

Also on Friday, Kenya's opposition party called for a new presidential election to settle a dispute over the vote that has sparked days of deadly riots. By Andrea Stone and Laura Bly, USA TODAY
Saturday, as violence flared in Kenya after a disputed election, Tina Wegener's 13-year-old son, Keenan, called to say, "Political tensions are getting high here, but I don't want you to worry."
Sunday, Keenan's hotel in Kakamega was firebombed.

Thursday, he called home to Sterling, Alaska, and said he had been hiding in a friend's house. "He said, 'Don't freak out, Mom,' " his mother said. "There was some fear in his voice."
The wave of violence that followed the election Dec. 30 is hitting home for 9,000 Americans visiting or living in the East African nation and their families waiting anxiously a world away. The State Department said no U.S. citizens had been reported injured.

The colonies in Africa and other places around the world (Burma, Vietnam, Laos etc) wanted their precious independence so bad. They can't handle it.

When you turn certain people lose to govern themselves, they make a mess of things. Africans, SE Asians and the Arabs. They had it made under colonial rule, and then they make a mess of things once they get their independence.

Gotta keep on a tight leash on people for their own good.

^ No. I think there are two groups. The responsibles and the irresponsibles. Singapore and HK are doing just fine and they are not white.
