Think of all those idiots that voted for the orange turd because they're "worried about prices".

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said on Monday that on his first day in office he would impose a 25% tariff on all products from Mexico and Canada, and an additional 10% tariff on goods from China, citing concerns over illegal immigration and the trade of illicit drugs.
"On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

Trump pledges tariffs on Canada and Mexico, more on China, too

    The turkeys voted for Christmas.
    The women voted for misogeny.
They all voted for a convicted felon.

"So I'm going to be President again, how much would you like to bribe me? No, it's OK, we don't have to tell anyone".

Yes, it's right in front of their dumb trumpanzee faces.

Trump’s agreement with the Biden administration this week paves the way for Trump’s “landing teams” to begin entering government offices to receive briefings from current staff about the day-to-day operations of hundreds of federal agencies.

The team said it is turning down federal support “consistent with President Trump’s commitment to save taxpayers’ hard-earned money,” his campaign said in a statement.

But accepting the money would have put a $5,000 cap on individual donations to the transition and require the public disclosure of donors.

Trump’s team merely said it would not allow foreign contributions and would be disclosing its donors, but did not reveal any guidelines for those pledges.

By turning down roughly $7 million in federal funding for the transition process,
Trump will be able to raise unlimited private donations for the transition.

    No comment required really.

Donald Trump's announcement that his son-in law's father Charles Kushner will be US ambassador to France puts a man sentenced to two years in prison for tax evasion and witness tampering into a prime diplomatic role.

The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s hush money trial has refused to dismiss the case and throw out a jury’s verdict after his attorneys argued he has “immunity” from prosecution.

Trump appears likely to enter the White House as a convicted felon, though it remains unclear when, or if, the judge will continue to postpone a sentencing date after a unanimous jury found him guilty of falsifying business records tied to hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.

New York Justice Juan Merchan also has yet to rule on Trump’s argument that the case should not be able to continue now that he is president-elect.

In a filing Monday, Judge Merchan argued that evidence surrounding Trump’s falsification of business records to cover up hush money payments to an adult film star is not shielded by “immunity” granted to presidents under the Supreme Court’s groundbreaking decision this summer.

Evidence presented to the jury — even if it could be shielded by “immunity” — paled in comparison to “other overwhelming evidence of defendant’s guilt,” according to Merchan.

Donald Trump's campaign manager branded Lord Mandelson a 'moron' who should 'stay home' – just minutes after he was confirmed as Britain's new ambassador to the United States.
Chris LaCivita savaged Keir Starmer's decision to replace Dame Karen Pierce with the controversial Labour peer.
His intervention came after it emerged that Lord Mandelson had made a series of disparaging remarks about Mr Trump during his first term in office.

If I was Trump, I too wouldn't put up with lippy ambassadors. The UK has form on having an iffy ambassador in Washington. The UK is very fortunate Trump has a lot of respect for the royal family. It was interesting seeing Mr Trump and the Prince of Wales greeting each other so warmly recently.

Unless they changed their name to Trump, or they’ve recently purchased a shitload of Trump merch, he doesn’t give a toss about the Royal Family.

So apparently the thing to do now is to keep saying "President Musk" on all available fora.

Baldy orange cunto has already felt the need to tell his followers that *he's* the President.

It's obviously winding him the fuck up.

To be honest I didn't expect him to get jailed, but he'll no doubt be crowing that this counts as "exoneration".

A judge has ordered US president-elect Donald Trump to be sentenced next week in his New York hush money case - but has suggested he will not jail him.

In a surprise move, the sentencing has been set for 10 January, just 10 days before the presidential inauguration.

Trump's spokesperson called the case "lawless" and a "witch hunt" in a statement released after the date was announced.

    He
was found guilty in May of 34 counts of falsifying business records, relating to an alleged scheme to hide a hush money payment to adult actress Stormy Daniels in the last weeks of his first campaign in 2016.

Judge Juan Merchan, who presided over the trial, has now confirmed sentencing will go ahead, but signalled in a written decision that he would hand down what is known as a conditional discharge, in which a case gets dismissed if a defendant avoids re-arrest.

King Trump has no remorse. He should get a custodial sentence but John Roberts and his mates wouldn't support that.

Legal precedent suggests jail isn't the most common sanction. And of course he's going to kill the other cases he can.

Well here's a conundrum for RFK Jr. who claims he wants to improve American health:

The Surgeon General has asked for cancer warning labels on alcohol like the ones on cigarettes.

And apparently neither baldy orange cunto or Secretary Brainworm have said so much as a word.

Of course the Republicans will be trousering lots of cash to oppose it.

America's top doctor has called for risk warnings on alcoholic beverages, similar to the labels on cigarettes, following new research that links the drinks to seven types of cancer.
The advisory from US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy says the "majority of Americans are unaware of this risk" that leads to about 100,000 cases of cancer and 20,000 deaths annually in the US.
It would require an act of Congress to change the existing warning labels, which have not been updated since 1988.
To be honest, I'm surprised they're even allowed to keep track.

In the US, there are about 100,000 alcohol-related cancer cases and about 20,000 alcohol-related cancer deaths annually.

So the pretty boy Fox News talking head that baldy nominated for Defence is as fucking thick as we all thought he was.

He was trying to bleat about women in combat when Duckworth replied to him.

    What a dim c u n t.

Well, it doesn't hold any water because the standards have not been lowered. The standards are the standards.
And, frankly, he tried to make today's hearing about whether or not women are qualified to serve in combat, when really today's hearing was about whether or not Pete Hegseth is qualified to be secretary of defense. And he couldn't even answer the most basic questions I asked of him, like name a country that's in ASEAN, one of the most significant economic alliances in the Indo-Pacific.

To be fair, many Americans could not name any ASEAN countries.
Of course, most haven't presented intetnational news and aren't planning on running Defence.

I think Republicans in Washington are fully aware of the likely impact but they're all spineless wankers.

WASHINGTON - Ottawa is ready to retaliate if U.S. president-elect Donald Trump slaps Canada with devastating tariffs, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised Friday — and his ministers say Republicans in Washington don't fully understand the likely impact of the duties on both countries' economies.

"We will not hesitate to act," Trudeau said at a meeting of the newly formed Council on Canada-U.S. Relations in Toronto. "We will respond and, I will say it again, everything is on the table."

The incoming president has promised to apply 25 per cent across-the-board tariffs on imports from Canada when he returns to the White House on Monday.

Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly is in Washington this week and met Thursday with Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune, as well as Republicans Lindsey Graham and James Risch, chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She said tariffs would launch a "trade war" between Canada and the U.S.

"If we need to retaliate, we will do so," Joly told reporters Friday. "The Americans would be starting a trade war against us and this would be the biggest trade war between Canada and the U.S. in decades."

Canada has multiple options for retaliatory tariffs ready to go depending on what Trump ultimately does, said two federal government sources with knowledge of the tariff response plan. They were not authorized to speak publicly about details of the plan.

If Trump sets the tariffs at 25 per cent, Canada’s response would be to impose counter-tariffs worth roughly $37 billion, and possibly follow up with another $110 billion in tariffs. If the duties are lower, Canada's tariff response would be more modest.

No decision will be made until Ottawa sees the wording of Trump's executive order imposing the tariffs.
