Google isn't interrupting your streaming. The person who's stealing the streams is doing it - they pump out adverts to you and make money for doing so.

I realise advertising is part of the google revenue. It’s just so fucking annoying.

I have to clear a google default linterupt every time I log in using a paid VPN. That’s before I even select what I want to watch.

Intelligence is Intelligence regardless the medium it emerges from.
If indeed there is a prime mover , then indirectly, biological intelligence is artificial also.

Again: That's the website you're going to throwing an ad at you, not Google.

Website NOT pre selected. Google goes to default check before the site is chosen.
It only happens when I activate the VPN and goes to google as my default search engine.

Then you're either misunderstanding what is going on or telling porkies.

I need to change my default search engine.

Maybe there is one honest provider that works with a paid VPN?

That's the one I use most of the time.
Occasionally I repeat a search on Google if I cannot find what I am looking for and Google does seem to have a broader reach. Still DuckDuckGo is my default choice.

Yes it has absorbed everything textual on the public internet and more.

No, it is not an enormous, searchable database.

    I gave examples above.

Ask it to write some javascript to perform a specific function and it will not only churn out the code, but properly comment it as well.

Ask it to analyze legacy code and it not only comments it but can explain what the functions of the program are.

The next evolution is to incorporate sound, image and even moving video.

Watch the video again, with a coffee, and take some time to let it soak in.

I'm not a fan of Peterson by any means, but he makes some good points.

    Oh, and just for info:
I returned yesterday and have just had a play with chatgpt over a cup of tea, before work.

    It is awesome!

Add video and pictures and I'd buy a subscription right now.

I am beginning to hate Google chrome. Part of the reason that I went with google chrome many years ago, was it's simple search page.
Now when I do a search, most of the search results are ads. I have to scroll to the bottom of my search page to find non paid results.
So I am ready for a move, But where? Hate to jump from the frying pan and into the fire.
Tell me more about "DuckDuckGo. "
I have a lot of saved sites in my favorites, If I move to DuckDuckGo. would I be able import my favorites from Google?
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Free VPNs used to work. Now if you want anything half decent, it’s monetized. Chatgpt is going the same way.
Amazon just put up Alexa prices too.

So much for cheaper, or free leisure pursuits. (sigh)

    It's not a browser, it's a search engine.

If you are looking at an alternative browser that will support your Chrome bookmarks, try Firefox.

Free VPNs were normally set up by chinkystan to hoover up your data.

It's always recommended to pay for one.

And what "Alexa" prices have gone up?

ChatGPT costs a ton of money to run (see above), so would you rather they monetised it with subscriptions or ads?

Should be clearly understood that Google is akin to the deepest establishment and dominant paradigm.....and their agenda is quite obvious.
Attempting to find most anything that disrupts, challenges or questions the usual planted orthodoxy is more than a struggle.
Most search engines, and certainly those that consider themselves alternative to Google, have followed this practice or Google model - have been forced too.

Is it any anyone knows anything except for what they want you to know.
Beyond this....might have a generation or two that don't really know how to use a search engine properly. I'm sure they'll insist otherwise....they're deluding themselves.

If one is not aware of it already [I suspect the dumbed down are the majority], the beloved DuckDuckGo is a definitive example of attempting to be something different when it really just reflects the usual show.

My Alexa music subs with Amazon have just notified a price increase.
I have had a paid VPN for ages now.

My grumble is about the lack of free stuff for old people as promised on tomorrows world about 50 years ago!

DuckDuckGo is better for searching for torrent sites and porn so my mate told me
