The King has asked for profits from a £1bn-a-year crown estate windfarm deal to be used for the “wider public good” rather than as a funding boost for the monarchy.

Under the taxpayer-funded sovereign grant, which is currently £86.3m a year, the King receives 25% of the crown estate’s annual surplus, which includes an extra 10% for the refurbishment of Buckingham Palace.

Six new offshore wind energy lease agreements, announced by the crown estate on Thursday, have generated a major windfall for the estate, which would usually lead to a jump in the monarchy’s official funding.

But the king, who highlighted the cost of living crisis in his Christmas message, has requested that the extra funds “be directed for wider public good”, instead of to the sovereign grant, at a time when many are facing financial hardship.

It is not clear as to the exact amount of taxpayer funding the king has passed up, but it is likely to be many millions.

The crown estate – an ancient portfolio of land and property – belongs to the reigning monarch “in right of the crown” but it is not their private property.

The monarch surrenders the revenue from the estate – more than £312m a year – to the Treasury each year for the benefit of the nation’s finances, in exchange for the sovereign grant.

The king’s keeper of the privy purse, Sir Michael Stevens, who manages the royal household’s finances, has contacted the prime minister, Rishi Sunak, and the chancellor Jeremy Hunt – his fellow royal trustees – to ask for “an appropriate reduction” in the percentage of crown estate profits used for the sovereign grant.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “In view of the offshore energy windfall, the keeper of the privy purse has written to the prime minister and the chancellor to share the king’s wish that this windfall be directed for wider public good, rather than to the sovereign grant, through an appropriate reduction in the proportion of crown estate surplus that funds the sovereign grant.”

The sovereign grant is based on funds two years in arrears, so any boost in crown estate profits and new percentage arrangements would not affect the grant until 2024-2025.

The king used his first Christmas broadcast last month to sympathise with families struggling with the cost of living crisis and praise individuals, charities and faith groups supporting those in need.

He spoke about the “great anxiety and hardship” experienced by many trying to “pay their bills and keep their families fed and warm” during his televised message, which featured footage of a food bank and other scenes of meals being distributed to the homeless.

The sovereign grant covers the running costs of the royal household and events such as official receptions, investitures and garden parties.

The percentage increased from 15% to 25% in 2017 to cover the cost of a 10-year programme of £369m’s worth of repairs at the palace.

The grant goes up if crown estate profits increase, but it does not fall when they decrease.

The capital value of the portfolio is more than £15bn.

The crown estate confirmed on Thursday it had signed lease agreements for six offshore wind projects that have the potential to power more than 7m homes.

Three of the six projects are located off the north Wales, Cumbria and Lancashire coast, and three are located in the North Sea

Buckingham Palace on Saturday revealed details of King Charles III’s coronation that will see three days of celebrations across the country in which the public will be invited to participate.

The coronation will take place on Saturday May 6, a “Coronation Big Lunch” and “Coronation Concert” the following day, and an extra bank holiday on Monday. The public will be invited on the last day to join “The Big Help Out” by volunteering in their communities.

“Everyone is invited to join in, on any day,” Michelle Donelan, UK Secretary for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, said in a statement.

“Whether that is by hosting a special street party, watching the Coronation ceremony or spectacular concert on TV, or stepping forward during The Big Help Out to help causes that matter to them.”

The coronation itself will be “a solemn religious service, as well as an occasion for celebration and pageantry,” conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, the palace said.

It will, the palace reiterated, “reflect the Monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.”

That line from the palace has been interpreted by experts as a hint that Charles’ coronation will be different and more subdued from the one his late mother experienced seven decades ago, with a shorter ceremony and amendments to some of the feudal elements of the ritual. Queen Elizabeth’s coronation was the first live televised royal event and lasted three hours.

Charles and his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort, will arrive at Westminster Abbey in procession from Buckingham Palace, known as “The King’s Procession,” and return later in a larger ceremonial procession, known as “The Coronation Procession,” accompanied by other members of the royal family.

The King and Queen Consort, alongside members of the royal family, will then appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to conclude the day’s events.

At this point, the palace has not specified which members of the family will appear in the procession and on the balcony, following Prince Andrew’s continued exile from public life as a result of historical sexual abuse allegations and the publication of Prince Harry’s memoir which railed against his family.

“It would help Charles a lot in terms of his image if Harry and Meghan were there,” royal historian Kate Williams previously told CNN. “It’s particularly going to look bad for him if his son is not there because, of course, Harry still is very high in line to the throne, as are his children.”

In a sign that not all Britons will be celebrating the event, anti-monarchy campaign group Republic vowed to protest near Westminster Abbey. “The coronation is a celebration of hereditary power and privilege, it has no place in a modern society,” spokesperson Graham Smith said in a statement.

“At a cost of tens of millions of pounds this pointless piece of theatre is a slap in the face for millions of people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

“We have already been in touch with the Metropolitan Police, and we expect them to facilitate peaceful and meaningful protest. We intend to make our presence felt in parliament square as the royal procession passes through to the Abbey.”

The day after the coronation, May 7, thousands of events are expected to take place across the country as part of the “Coronation Big Lunch,” while as-yet unnamed “global music icons and contemporary stars,” will come together for a “Coronation Concert” held on Windsor Castle’s East Lawn, the palace said.

“The Coronation Big Lunch helps you bring the celebration right into your own street or back yard,” said Peter Stewart, Chief Purpose Officer at the event’s organizing body, the Eden Project.

“Sharing friendship, food and fun together gives people more than just a good time – people feel less lonely, make friends and go on to get more involved with their community,” he added in a statement.

The concert will be attended by a public audience composed of volunteers from the King and Queen Consort’s charity affiliations as well as several thousand members of the public selected through a national ballot held by the BBC.

They will watch a “world-class orchestra play interpretations of musical favorites fronted by some of the world’s biggest entertainers, alongside performers from the world of dance…and a selection of spoken word sequences delivered by stars of stage and screen,” the palace said, adding that a line-up would be released in due course.

A diverse group comprised of Britain’s Refugee choirs, NHS choirs, LGBTQ+ singing groups and deaf signing choirs, will form “The Coronation Choir” and also perform at the concert, alongside “The Virtual Choir,” made up of singers from across the Commonwealth.

Well-known locations across the country will also be lit up using projections, lasers, drone displays and illuminations as part of the concert.

The celebrations will conclude on the bank holiday Monday with hundreds of activities planned by local community groups for “The Big Help Out.”

“It is going to be a festival of volunteering,” said Jon Knight, Chief Executive of the Together Coalition.

“The aim is to create a legacy of better-connected communities long beyond the Coronation itself.”

Three days of pomp and ceremony . . . whew, luckily Chuck knows how the average Joe/Jill is suffering and how much better s/he will feel at seeing millions being spent for a privileged couple in their seventies getting in touch with the common man/woman.

King Charles' Real Estate Firm Sues Twitter Over Unpaid Rent

Twitter is being taken to court in the UK by the Crown Estate, which manages the property portfolio owned by King Charles III, over an alleged failure to pay rent on its London office.

Insider understands that the Crown Estate has issued court proceedings to Twitter following previous contact with the social-media company over unpaid rent, and that two parties are currently in discussions.

All the Twitter signs and logos have been removed from the London office, but Elon Musk's company still occupies it, according to The Daily Telegraph, which first reported on the lawsuit.

In December 2022, The New York Times reported that Twitter hadn't paid rent on any of its offices for weeks. Since then, the landlord for Twitter's San Francisco headquarters has also begun legal proceedings against the social-media company.

Employees in Singapore were even temporarily evicted from their office due to nonpayment of rent – before Musk ultimately paid up later that day, Insider's Kali Hays previously reported.

Earlier this month, Insider reported that Twitter's New York office has a cockroach problem, with staff also complaining of uncleaned bathrooms and clogged toilets.

This comes amid a series of cost-cutting measures at Twitter, with the workforce reduced from over 7,000 down to 2,300, according to Musk himself. It has also auctioned off nearly 250 items from its San Francisco HQ, with a statue of the Twitter bird logo selling for $100,000.

Twitter did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

The Crown Estate manages $19.2 billion worth of properties including 241 in central London, according to its most recent annual report. As the property is ultimately owned by the monarch, three-quarters of the Crown Estate's $384 million net revenue profit goes towards public spending in Britain – with the rest given back to the royal family.

The Guardian reported last week that King Charles had asked for the profits from a $1.2 billion portfolio of offshore wind farms owned by the Crown Estate to be used for public funding.

King Charles ‘wants Harry to attend his coronation despite resistance from William’

King Charles has reportedly asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to broker a deal to allow Prince Harry to attend his coronation, despite resistance from eldest son William.

He wants Justin Welby to strike an agreement with the warring brothers that would allow the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to attend the ceremony in May, sources close to Lambeth Palace claimed.

The coronation will take place on May 6 and will be part of a weekend of celebrations including a procession from Buckinahm Palace, a day of volunteering for the nation and a concert at Windsor Castle.

Speculation has been rife about whether the Sussexes would attend the event after Harry criticised senior royals in his tell-memoir Spare earlier this month.

In the book, Harry accused William of physically attacking him and claimed the Palace planted negative stories about Meghan in the media.

A source told the Mail on Sunday: “The issue of substance is whether they attend the coronation, and if they do, under what terms and conditions.

“The family is split, and all the indications are that Harry is being advised to agree to nothing at this stage and ‘play it long’ right up to the last minute, which is making negotiations with him very difficult.

“Harry’s camp made clear that the idea that he would just attend the coronation and behave himself but then be stripped of his titles was a total non-starter.”

It comes after a poll found that two thirds of the public think the Duke of Sussex should be invited to the King’s coronation.

A majority of people polled believe Prince Harry should attend the ceremony in Westminster Abbey in May, according to an Ipsos survey for the Evening Standard.

However, 30 per cent disagree and think he should stay away after the highly personal and potentially damaging revelations he made about members of his family in his book.

The poll of 1,001 people between Jan 18 and 25 found a striking age gap between those who support the Duke’s involvment in his father’s celebrations and those who do not.

Over-55s were almost split in half, with 42 per cent against his attendance and 47 per cent in favour.

On the other hand, three quarters of 18 to 34-year-olds were in favour of the Duke attending, as well as the majority (65 per cent) of 35 to 54-year-olds.

Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have declined to address the allegations he levelled against other members of the Royal family in his autobiography Spare, but this has not stemmed a decline in public opinion polls.

Last week, an Ipsos Mori poll found that the Prince of Wales’s ratings have plunged eight percentage points since the book’s publication, while the Princess of Wales’s ratings have dropped by seven points.

King Charles III will not appear on Australia’s new five dollar note in a move away from tradition, the country has confirmed.

His mother, the late Queen, currently features on the current five dollar note and has done for years – but now, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) said that it will honour the “culture and history of Indigenous Australians” instead.

Until now, every series of the country’s banknotes have included the monarchs’ portrait.

It said: “This decision by the Reserve Bank Board follows consultation with the Australian government, which supports this change.

“The Bank will consult with First Australians in designed the $5 banknote.

“The new banknote will take a number of years to be designed and printed. In the meantime the current $5 banknote will continue to be issued. It will be able to be used even after the new banknote is issued.”

It comes amid growing speculation that the King’s reign will see more countries moving away from having the British monarch as their head of state and becoming republics.

The Queen’s death marked the end of an era, so many nations saw it as a natural opportunity to start anew. Australia’s announcement also comes just months before Charles’ coronation in May, and after a period of bad press for the royals following Prince Harry’s bombshell revelations about life behind Palace walls in his book ‘Spare’.

The King is currently head of state of 14 Commonwealth realms outside of the UK including Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Barbados became a republic in November 2021 (before the monarch’s death in September), and Jamaica is pipped to be the next Commonwealth country to shake off the Royal Family. Becoming a republic does not mean leaving the Commonwealth, just the UK’s constitutional monarchy.

The Royal Family has not resisted such change, but has publicly maintained that such a decision is up to the individual countries.

The King is still the Head of the Commonwealth, a role which is not hereditary (the Queen decided her son would be her successor back in 2018). This itself prompted some backlash among those who wanted more distance from the monarchy in place within the Commonwealth.

An RBA spokesperson also told the BBC that they have no plans to change the designs of other banknotes at the moment – although the Queen only features on the $5 note.

A Greens senator and DjabWurrung Gunnai Gunditjmara woman, Lidia Thorpe, praised the news as a “massive win for the grassroots, First Nations people who have been fighting to decolonise this country.”

She added on Twitter: “First Nations people never ceded our Sovereignty to any King or Queen, ever. Time for a Treaty Republic!”

Although Australia chose to keep the British monarch as the country’s head of state in a 1999 referendum, it has been distancing itself from the Crown over the years and moving to honour its Indigenous people instead.

For instance, in 2021, the country officially changed it national anthem to remove reference to being “young and free”, considering Australia’s indigenous people are the oldest civilisation in the world.

Britain ‘relaxed’ about Australia omitting King Charles from new $5 banknote, high commissioner says

Sir Paul McCartney frontrunner to perform at King Charles' coronation

Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly been chosen to give a special performance at the upcoming coronation of King Charles III.

The former Beatles legend was supposedly sought out by royal staff during their preparation for the big day in May when King Charles will officially take over from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

At 74 years old, the famous public figure will be crowned king of Britain alongside Her Majesty The Queen Consort, Camilla, 75.

According to reports, there are three days of lavish events being planned around the royal coronation – which is set to take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

There will also supposedly be a bank holiday in support of national celebrations on the following Monday, May 8.

It has been rumoured that royal planners are hopeful that other big names will follow in the rockstar’s footsteps and sign up to take part in the day once they’re made aware of his presence.

‘Royal organisers are super-keen on landing Paul for this historical once-in-a-lifetime performance,’ a source told The Sun newspaper.

They continued: ‘The general thought is that having a Beatle singing on King Charles’ big day would seal the deal and other acts can slot in around him.

‘Paul is the perfect signing, thanks to his extensive back catalogue and huge global appeal.’

Not the first time news of a potential musical event has emerged, last month it was tipped that big names would join forces to serenade the new king.

BBC and BBC Studios are due to host a one-off Coronation Concert that will be broadcast live from Windsor Cast on Sunday, May 7.

Thousands of tickets are reportedly set to be made available for eager natives via public ballot.

As part of the extravaganza, it is thought big names in the world of music will front orchestral performances of fan favourites and the concert will also include performances by troupes of dancers.

There will be performances by The Coronation Choir – made up of community choirs and amateur singers from across the United Kingdom – and while yet to be revealed, it is rumoured Sir Paul will be joined by plenty of other much-loved artists from across the globe.

King Charles Hosts Ukraine's President Zelenskyy at Buckingham Palace

King Charles is hosting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the Ukrainian leader's surprise visit to the U.K.

The King, 74, met Zelenskyy, 45, for the first time at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday after Ukraine's president spoke in the House of Parliament and met Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who welcomed him off his plane earlier in the day.

Welcoming him, King Charles expressed how delighted he was to welcome President Zelenskyy, who replied it was "a great honour to be here, thank you for finding the time for me."

The King told him, "We've all been worried about you and thinking about your country for so long, I can't tell you."

Zelenskyy replied, "Thank you so much."

The two men chatted privately for about 30 minutes in the 1844 Room about the continuing conflict in Ukraine and the part Britain has played in supporting the nation.

When he spoke to British lawmakers on Wednesday, Zelenskyy referred to his upcoming meeting with King Charles. Saying it "will be a truly special moment for me," the president said he would express gratitude for Charles' support to the Ukraine people when the royal was still the Prince of Wales.

"In Britain, the King is an air force pilot — and in Ukraine today, every air force pilot is a king," Zelenskyy said, according to the BBC.

Zelenskyy said that the U.K. "is marching with us to the most important victory of our lifetime," the BBC reported. "After we win together, any aggressor will know what awaits him if he attacks international order."

After making a plea for fighter jets, Zelenskyy referred to his last visit. "Two years ago, I thanked you for delicious English tea...I will be leaving the Parliament today thanking all of you in advance for powerful English planes," he said.

The Ukraine president is in the U.K. to thank the country for its support since the invasion last February by Russia and to see some of his country's troops, which are being trained by pilots and being taught how to operate British tanks.

It is Zelenskyy's first visit to Britain since the invasion and only his second overseas trip. The first was to the U.S. late last year.

The British royal family has voiced their support of Ukraine in the wake of Russia's invasion on several occasions. Kate Middleton and Prince William offered words of support for Ukraine in a statement shared on their joint Twitter account in February 2022.

"In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine's future," the statement from the couple said. "Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine's people as they bravely fight for that future."

Members of the royal family have visited volunteer efforts and communities for displaced Ukrainian families over the past year.

In September, Princess Kate held a special audience with Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska at Buckingham Palace, who traveled to the U.K. to attend Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

King Charles coronation logo created by iPhone designer

The official logo for King Charles III's coronation, to feature in street parties, social media and souvenirs, has been revealed by Buckingham Palace.

It has been created by Sir Jony Ive, known for his innovative designs of Apple gadgets, including the iPhone.

This is a more traditional image, with flowers forming the shape of the St Edward's crown used in the coronation.

The floral design highlights the "optimism of spring" and reflects the King's love of nature, says Sir Jony.

"The design was inspired by King Charles's love of the planet, nature, and his deep concern for the natural world," said the former Apple design guru, who is more usually associated with sleek tech designs of equipment such as iMacs and iPods.

The logo, also available in a Welsh-language version, is the latest detail to be revealed from the planned celebrations to mark the coronation, which will be held at Westminster Abbey on 6 May.

The day will include a carriage procession and traditional appearances on the Buckingham Palace balcony, although it is still not known who will be attending - with no confirmation yet whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be there.

Why King Charles III Is Digging Up the Grounds of Sandringham

When Queen Elizabeth II died last year, King Charles III not only inherited the crown but also the late monarch’s real estate. That includes her private country residence in Norfolk, Sandringham House, where the Royal Family has celebrated Christmas since 1988 (save for the first two years of the pandemic). The estate has largely remained the same since Charles took full ownership–until now. Photos obtained by Hello! reveal that a full acre of the structure’s west lawn has been bulldozed in preparation for a new topiary garden.

“In recent years, with changing weather patterns the current expanse of lawn has been affected by warm weather and excessive rainfall,” a Sandringham Estate press release from last month explains. “The newly developed garden will introduce new species that are more robust, hardy and better able to withstand the impact of emerging weather patterns."

Concept photos show steps leading down to the rectangular garden, which is dotted with topiaries and centered with a small maze-like arrangement of hedges. Gravel pathways zigzag throughout the symmetrical garden beds, which are filled with greenery and dusky purple and blue flowers. According to the release, the numerous garden beds will be filled out with lavender, coneflowers, delphinium, and yellow and pink roses. The work is expected to be finished and open to the public by the end of May.

King Charles has long been a big fan of gardens, especially at his Highgrove House residence. “My aim has always been to try and enhance the setting of the house in the landscape and, above all, to please the eye, warm the heart, and feed the soul,” he wrote in the book The Gardens at Highgrove. “One of my greatest joys is to see the pleasure that the garden can bring to many of the visitors and that everybody seems to find some part of it that is special to them.”

Andrew Lloyd Webber to compose King Charles’s Coronation Anthem

The King has commissioned Andrew Lloyd-Webber to write his Coronation Anthem in what the composer hopes will “reflect the joyful occasion”.

Lord Lloyd-Webber’s anthem is one of 12 new pieces of music selected personally by King Charles for his Coronation ceremony on May 6.

The newly commissioned pieces will showcase talent from across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, while the range of styles and performers will blend tradition, heritage and ceremony in a showcase of “inclusivity and diversity”.

Lord Lloyd-Webber, a long-time favourite of the Royal family, said that his anthem will include words adapted from Psalm 98, a hymn describing God’s redemption of Israel and the rejoicing that will ensue.

It is understood that Lord Lloyd-Webber felt the psalm to be appropriate for a national moment of joy and celebration and that it would mean something to everyone.

The impresario has scored it for the Westminster Abbey choir and organ, the ceremonial brass and orchestra.

The award-winning composer, known for hit musicals such as The Phantom Of The Opera, wrote and performed for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 as well as at her Platinum Jubilee concert in June last year.

Dr Michael Nazir-Ali, formerly the 106th Bishop of Rochester, told The Telegraph that the choice of Psalm 98 was because it is a so-called “enthronement psalm” that celebrates God being King.

“It’s a freedom psalm - about the liberation of Isreal from captivity,” he said, adding: “Beyond that, it celebrates the Kings from David’s line”.

“They are psalms celebrating the kingship of God,” he added, saying it was a “very celebratory” choice.

“But the primary reason [in the psalm] for celebration is the kingship of God, who in his providence has provided for the kingship of his people”.

The King’s choice of music for the ceremony also includes nods to the Commonwealth and to Wales, the latter of which he has a long-standing and deeply held affiliation with as the former Prince of Wales.

One of the liturgical sections of the ceremony will be performed in Welsh as well as English and Alis Huws, the Official Royal Harpist, will perform in recognition of the monarch’s strong ties with the country.

The King has also asked for Greek Orthodox music to be played in the service in tribute to his late father, the Duke of Edinburgh, to be performed by the Byzantine Chant Ensemble.

Six orchestral commissions, five choral commissions and one organ commission have been created by British composers for the event, whose styles include classical, sacred, film, television and musical theatre.

A Coronation March has been created by the award-winning Scottish composer Patrick Doyle, while a piece by Iain Farrington for the solo organ will take in musical themes from countries across the Commonwealth.

With choices reflecting the King’s lifelong love and support of music and the arts, Sir Antonio Pappano, the Director of the Coronation Orchestra, called it “a most beautiful and varied programme”.

Andrew Nethsingha, organist and master of the choristers at Westminster Abbey, will take charge of the musical arrangements and direction during the service.

Coronations have taken place in Westminster Abbey since 1066 and all services are “a mixture of deep-rooted tradition and contemporary innovation”, he said.

“It has been a privilege to collaborate with His Majesty in choosing fine musicians and accessible, communicative music for this great occasion,” he added.

There will also be new works by Judith Weir - Master of the King’s Music - as well as Sarah Class, Nigel Hess, Paul Mealor, Tarik O'Regan, Roxanna Panufnik, Shirley J Thompson, Roderick Williams, and Debbie Wiseman.

Imagine the unbelievable ego to celebrate . . . yourself . . . with such pomp in dire times like these. His 'subjects' can't afford heating but the self-idolatry is simply crass.

    Let them eat cake

King Charles watches Ukrainian troops training in Wiltshire

King Charles III has said he is "full of admiration" for Ukrainian soldiers who are being trained by the British Army in Wiltshire.

Around 20,000 Ukrainians are to be put through an intensive five-week course to help them prepare for combat.

His Majesty watched as the men - mostly civilians - stormed a mock trench.

"We're trying to get them to learn how to use the ground to their advantage," said Capt Freddie Bradshaw from 1 Irish Guards.

"We've got urban and trench complexes which they can use. They need to learn how to fight in a forest - a lot of Ukraine is forest.

"There's a huge amount of experience from the training teams here.

"We are trying to make them as lethal as possible in a short space of time - five weeks is a very condensed training package," he said.

At an undisclosed location in Wiltshire, the King told one of the senior officers: "You are amazing, I don't know how you do it.

"I am full of admiration," he added.

Afterwards, with the help of a translator, King Charles took time chatting to 20 of the Ukrainians.

Many of them left their civilian jobs to join the army - one was a mechanic, another a teacher.

One Ukrainian soldier told the BBC: "It's an amazing feeling to be in the presence of His Majesty.

"It's been the event that most light will shine upon my life.

Another one said: "He asked how training was going, and our health, and took an interest in the wellbeing of our families and wives.

"I feel light on my feet and I think it will sink in a few days later," he said.

    You’re right!

And who is this Andrew Lloyd-Webber? And why would he accept the invitation to write the Coronation Anthem?

And about this Coronation spectacle (a state event). You know it’ll be a flop. I don’t expect any heads of states to show up.

Viewership in England will be very low while the Coronation is being televised live across the globe. No one wants to watch an egotistical self-centered coffin dodger being crowned.

And what is it with some countries that would even consider having that old coffin dodger on their money?

Reserve Bank offered treasurer the choice to have King Charles on Australia’s $5 banknote

    __________

    Just for fun.

Was able to purchase a 2023 1 oz British Gold Britannia Coin (BU, King Charles Obverse) this morning. Should arrive, soon.

    I don't mind Chuck. I prefer a King over a Queen.

I hope Chuck is going to show some balls and kick that dropkick Harry and the cable TV actress to the kerb.

    You post some odd comments
if you check UK history I'd suggest the ladies had achieved more than the men and as in life squandered and murdered less.
