Why China Will Not Last This Decade - Peter Zeihan

Peter Zeihan is a very well respected geopolitical analyst who has some very revealing points to make about the current reality that is the CCP and China today. I would advise watching this video all the way through, even if you are one of the Three Stooges. Reality is pretty stark for China, and the fate of that nation lives and dies in the Indian Ocean.

He tells Americans what they want to hear. He also says that Europe is completely fuct and the whole world is going to implode except the US of A. But it is true that the US is trying pretty hard to make that happen with the sanctions that its occupied govts are handing down.

You still have an Internet connection so i guess gas prices in Germany have higher to go

To be fair, his post about discussing Malthusian social economics with chickens is still brilliant

He is happy to accept that he US is currently ahead of China in all aspects of complex, modern warfare. He neglects to mention that Chinese autonomy rests entirely on one bluffing leader. XI.

If XI is to continue as leader, China is a bust. If he is replaced, Chinas future is a complete unknown.

The US relies too heavily on NATO allies. Not all of whom are entirely supportive. That could be a flaw, but I believe it gives the west much needed diversity, and a wider range of potential solutions. China has no diversity, and therefore no options.

China is still emerging from the chrysalis of communist rule. It’s economic development relies heavily on only one option. An area where it has very limited experience. The west has many more and varied approaches to the coming storm. China has only one option, that is only now being tested. The signs of a crumbling, failed state are all there.

All options have co-existed in the west for decades. Wait and see who comes out on top!

It was Obama who moved the US military centre of effort to the Pacific. But only when he had other NATO members pick up the slack in the Atlantic and elsewhere.

I don't think it does, it asks for backing when making moves, votes and verbal support but the US is more than capable of engaging any current threat on its own if it needed to.

I'm not sure that's right, its chosen to take a light touch in Africa but the Atlantic?

China is one of the oldest countries on earth. I feel that Youtube reports of it's untimely demise are premature.

The nation will live on as it has before. It is the CCP that is done. The video, of which I am sure you haven't watched, points out some very common sense observations that happen to be very true.

Except that it isn't . . . and the issue is the government, the country as we know it today. You've said that you used to work in HK, then you must know that as longa as the population is kept under the thumb and relatively happy in terms of employment, food etc . . . the communist rulers will stay in power.
China isn't a democracy (irrespective fo how you'd like to pretend it is) - they can't be voted in again once they're out and this frightens the shit out of them

China has had, and will continue to, experience many ups and downs. As it has for the past, three thousands years.

It will modify whatever is required, to suit its citizens and partners needs. No other country has such experience and willingness to learn new strokes.

Again, a country cannot learn, its citizens can. Oh, and your comment is both ridiculous and incorrect

No he didn't. In fact he angered the Pentagon by telling the 7th Fleet to tone it down as far as freedom of navigation exercises were concerned.

Most recently, they have tried to rule using the communist ideal. When it became clear that was too costly in lives, they tried to reinvent their own brand of capitalism, embracing communist theory.

On paper it’s a nice idea, but no one has tried it before with any success. The current leadership has no idea how to integrate the two ideas successfully. The present state of poorly managed economic failures constitute a damn close to bursting point.
