Looks like the red wave turned into a puddle.
it is snigger worthy that it takes days or even weeks for the results - but the republicans will have to be dragged kicking and screaming into the transparency of digital voting
^^ HuffPo said, “The anticipated red wave of 2022 looks more like the wake generated by a medium-sized fishing boat.”
Arizona and Georgia senate races need to go democratic. Both dems are leading, and I.............. KNOCK ON WOOD. If so no red wave at all.
Amazing stuff.

I changed my residency from Georgia to Nevada back this summer, so I couldn’t vote in Georgia and didn’t know enough about Nevada politics to vote there.
I did notice that Nevada voted for ranked-choice voting! Wow! It’s a better way to vote that we don’t end up with someone elected that the majority of people don’t want. Again. Hope all voting goes that way in the future.
Oh, jeez MK, it would have taken you 5 minutes to make up your mind regarding the Senate there. Adam Laxalt is a trumpanzee 2020 election denier. A vote against a moron like that is an easy decision.
The race is close right now. If he wins by one vote, it will be your fault! :)
The nutter is losing. :)

Another piece of trash (not over yet)…….
More trash being removed (still early)…..
Hopefully the Libertarians will sit on the sidelines and pout during the runoff. If not, Senator Warnock might have a difficult time winning the race.
Nothing resembling a 'red wave '
Election deniers for the most part have been given their just rewards.
I think any Trump ambitions for another run are pretty much finished. How these results will affect the situation in Ukraine it's hard to say.
De Santis is looking strong. Newsom would make a good choice for the Dems..
If the Republicans win the House and Senate Biden is going to have a hard time steering the Ship of State, no job for an eighty year old in frail physican and mental health.
Anyway, I'm celebrating a good result.:bananaman:
Agree. He was no doubt the biggest loser in this election. Those he endorsed lost. Those like De Santis who kept him at arms distance won.
Dem and Rep politicians play to the majority and with the very large percent (75) of US voters who support helping the Ukraine, expect no change in US commitment.
I will explain very slowly.
I was living in the state of Georgia. I moved to the state of Nevada in May. I changed my residency from Georgia to Nevada which allows me to vote in Nevada legally. As a Nevada resident, I am not able to vote in Georgia.
I left for Thailand and got busy with things here and did not pay any attention to what was happening in Nevada so did not vote.
In case you do not realize, these are state elections for state offices, not national.
So what do guys like Congressman Tim Ryan do now after 20 years as a congressman and losing the run for senator in Ohio? Still young … not quite yet 50.

A record-shattering 340 openly LGBTQ candidates running in the midterms this year won their elections Tuesday evening in a night full of political firsts for the LGBTQ community.
Annise Parker, the president and chief executive of the LGBTQ Victory Fund, an organization working to elect more openly LGBTQ people to public office, said Tuesday’s “Rainbow Wave” is a clear rebuke to actions taken by state and federal officials this year to curtail the rights of LGBTQ people, particularly transgender youth.
“With so much at stake this election, from the future of marriage equality to abortion, LGBTQ candidates’ grit and exceptional grassroots support is paying off,” she said in a statement.

Democrat Maxwell Frost has won in Florida's 10th Congressional District, according to a race call by the Associated Press, making him the first member of Generation Z elected to serve in the U.S. Congress.
Frost was heavily favored to win the Orlando-based seat, which is solidly Democrat. He defeated Republican Calvin Wimbish by 19 percentage points. Frost will succeed outgoing Democratic Rep. Val Demings, who challenged incumbent Marco Rubio in the Senate. Rubio won his reelection, according to the AP.
"History was made tonight," Frost tweeted. "We made history for Floridians, for Gen Z, and for everyone who believes we deserve a better future."
The 25-year-old's victory marks a pivotal moment for progressive activists who came of voting age over the last decade and found their political voice in response to divisive issues including gun violence.
Frost, who has a background as an organizer, first became an activist after the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., in 2012. Before running for Congress, he served as the national organizing director for March for Our Lives, a group that advocates for gun control policy.
Gun control continues to be a top issue among younger voters. According to recent polling from Harvard Institute of Politics, 22% of respondents said it was either their most important or second most important issue – compared to inflation (45%,) abortion (33%) and "protecting democracy" (30%).
Gun violence prevention was a core tenet of Frost's platform, along with supporting progressive policies like Medicare for all and a Green New Deal.
Following the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, Frost confronted Florida's Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis at an event over the governor's second amendment views.
Frost raised over $2.5 million and was endorsed by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey as well as the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
When Frost takes office in January, he'll join a Congress known for lacking diversity in age – given the current membership is the oldest in U.S. history.
^^ Yeah. And what’s going to happen to Lauren Boebert, the f’n nutter. She’s closed her restaurant.
I heard she could pick up some work on Only Fans. :)
Not quite yet.
The race between incumbent Republican Lauren Boebert and her Democratic opponent Adam Frisch continued to tighten Wednesday afternoon, with the congresswoman trailing by just 62 votes.

There are few in-between as another under winners is Abortion rights activists. But the winner and loser stand out the most. :)
Can't believe Hershell Walker got so much support. He hasn't said a coherent thing in his whole campaign while Warnock has remained articulate and intelligent. Human nature and voting make no sense.
^The amount of money to be spent during these few weeks will be unbelievable. I wonder if the Republicans will support Walker (now) who they know is going to lose.
Hope anyway.

Uncalled races: Senate control hangs on 2 states and a Georgia runoff
The Senate comes down to two key swing states — and maybe a runoff
Democrat John Fetterman flipped Pennsylvania early Wednesday morning, giving his party 48 seats, while Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) secured reelection late Wednesday morning. That gives Democrats 48 seats and Republicans 49 — meaning whichever party wins two of the three outstanding contests in Arizona, Georgia — which is headed to another runoff — and Nevada will control the Senate.
Arizona and Nevada are the biggest question marks, with significant numbers of votes still to be counted in both states. If either party sweeps those two states, it will take control of the Senate regardless of what happens in Georgia next month.

about 400,000 ballots are left to be counted in Arizona’s most populated county
How are people stupid enough to vote for this woman?

Hillary's public, was different and she was talking to the whole country in a Presidential election six years ago (might as well had been a hundred) .
Walker is running in Georgia a heavily republican state. He is talking to republicans and he speaks their language.
Rule #1 in public speaking and politics . 'Read the room"
Hobbs (soon to be governor of Arizona) might be cutting it a little close. 36,185 (62% reporting) to 26,979 (82% reporting) and Hobbs lost 9,206 votes. Let’s say the next report (20%) shows 100% reporting and keeping those votes counted similar to previous reports Hobbs loses another 9,206 votes she will still be helping move the trash out the door.
Easier to understand. At 62% reporting Hobbs had 51.1% of the vote. At 82% reporting Hobbs has 50.7% of the votes. Difference of .4%. Keeping the same pace, at 100% Hobbs will lose another .4%. Hobbs should end up with 50.3% of the vote and will be Arizona’s next governor.
Funny you posted this up as this is the race I am following. This Kari Lake is a total nutter and licks trumps balls every chance she gets. The race is not over and she is already bitching big time about the slow count. Just lose!!!
Unfortunately it does not work that way.
It all depends on the precincts that have reported and what percentage. If let say 98% of a heavily democratic precinct has reported in, and only 70% of a heavily republican , then there is a good chance that the majority of the votes that come in are Republican, Same applies for mail in votes that might not be counted yet, if these mail in votes are from the military then they will be more Republican that Democrat.
I dont know how Arizona votes are reported and tabulated, but the above is the general rule , Let's hope you are right and there are more Democratic votes that republican coming in.
