Sure. Its all bullshit.
But it is just funny how so many anti catholic atheists disavow it but they still carry the whole ethic and worldview with them. If you are really anti Christian then it is only consistent that you are a determinist who does not believe in free will. I dont believe in free will.
Free will is a supernatural belief. Choice is an illusion to our consciousness caused by our ignorance of causality in human behavior.

in case you didn't watch the video, this is about Catholicism, not Christianity as a whole.
Are you catholic?
I was a Catholic and I'd quite happily shit on the Popes pontiff.
In fact all religious indoctrination can fvck off!
Actually, it isn't . . . but keep up your diatribe, you can't look any more stupid.
Where did you read this, Backspit? You know you didn't write it, let alone think of it.
Ok, free will is an innate belief, not supernatural, i.e. it is not something that isn't natural. Choice is something we are confronted with daily, in your case this is missing, hence your utter continued bullshit.
Catholicism is a doctrine, like most other faith-based beliefs. It helps many people wade through and cope with life . . . it has been used for evil . . . individuals have misused it . . . it has been used for good.
All-out condemnation is as pathetic as blind belief.
You are purporting to follow the views of other people. These are not you opinions. They are ideals expressed by other which you latched onto, without any understanding.
You will find opinions on you tube and in the twittersphere. Too late for you to try and understand it all with your lack of education. All you will ever be is a surface skimmer for anything that sparkles, however briefly.
I can empathize because you will only ever have a childish intellect that lacks depth, desperately clutching at straws for comfort.
Fuck the Catholic church. That whole institution should have been disbanded and its assets seized to compensate the victims of these odious paedophiles.
^ I believe people should have moral responsibility for their actions and free will as defined by compatibilism.
Though I am an Atheist and sympathetic to his views
These Christopher Hitchens debates ( I have watched all of them) , though entertaining , seem to me to be rehearsed by both parties, and scripted . An entertained show that was monetizing the issue.
Hitchens always opened with the same tired line thanking the presenter but calling the introduction" terse" , exactly the same line every time..
He always used the clever argument "Good people do good , and bad people do bad, it takes religion to make good people do bad" You would think that the opponents in preparation would have watched previous debates , would have heard this argument and would be prepared with the obvious response.
You would think but you would be wrong. I have never heard an opponent come back with the obvious "and bad people do good"
Every debate was the same script.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
I believe in free will, except that certain god botherers with their own TV stations, big mansions and cars, seem to be very successful, persuading supplicants to part with their hard earned.
Radical Muslims might be better served by giving women the same educational opportunities that Muslim men enjoy. Those men are scared to lose their control to mere females.
What worries you?
Whilst I do not agree with it being a disgusting “faith” I was brought up Catholic.
I rejected the faith at 15 years of age in favour of atheism.
I personally never witnessed, nor heard of any sexual abuses whilst growing up.
What is your “faith” Harry?
Do all Catholics disgust you?
