Normal is a very subjective term. If we look at what mental state is normal how do you define how far the cheese has slid of the cracker? At what point does someone slip from normal to abnormal?
As a Christian I believe God in his infinite wisdom put gay people on the earth so that ugly men could get a woman. If I was the only straight guy in the world I'd currently be alternately fucking Selma Hyack, Margot Robbie and Jessica Alba. Sadly there is not enough gay men for that eventuality.
No I am not. Anyone or any institution who excludes people and doesnt recognise their inherent value as human beings does not follow the teachings of the man from Nazareth and is outside the boundaries of Christianity. What you fail to see is the difference between someone who believes in the message and someone who calls themselves a Christian. In that, I have failed to live up to those high standards required so far in life myself. It's a journey that takes a lifetime often without reaching the destination but I am not blinded by a false version of the truth to enhance the power of a church. Christianity is recognising ones own power to change and become a better person. I'll probably get the jeezus weezer tag for all time on TD now. So be it. Do your worst. That wont change the truth in his message.

....in some cases, true: I view evangelicals with similar beliefs as one large metastasizing group because they believe and act on their beliefs as one group...they may have individual preferences concerning fast food, trailer size and social prejudices, but they all believe (if they, white or black, are true evangelicals) that they alone are on the right path to glory and all others are suspect deviants deserving of scorn, repudiation, isolation and general oppression. There may be a few within that group who keep their nonsense to themselves, but they are a very tiny minority who orbit outside the black hole of hate...
