Arrow POLL for next UK PM who will inherit Boris' " jobby "

    The field narrows .
Poll asks not your own preference but who you think will become Tory leader and hence Prime Minister on September the 5TH unless all opponents bow out and there could be a result ignoring membership as happened in the past.

It's all in the name . . . and his means 'virtue' . . . and the 'hat' bit, of course.

Liz Truss is probably far right wing enough, and still a Boris supporter. Might not make it through to the last two though!

Not my personal preference though. I like Tugenhat, but not enough Tory MPs to give him a chance as a moderate, and the party members are probably looking for someone too far to the right.

I think that the membership will vote for Mordaunt.
Not who I would want though.

Truss began life as a Labour politician who then morphed into a Liberal before putting herself forward as a Tory. An avowed Remainer who sucked BoJo cock for a Cabinet post and now more Brexit than Mogg. She loves a shag and getting it on after a skin full. She's also deluded and prone to fits of insanity.

Turdshat is an idiot who actually said that the way to manage the NHS crisis was to organise it under a military hierarchical structure. I mean, come on, they got their arse kicked out of Iraq and Afghanistan, took five years to work out a landrover was no fucking good against an ied and overlooked the fact the government they propped up was stealing billions.

He also lauded the Rwanda scam as a means of circumventing our obligations under the 1951 Convention.

The Wobbler Sunak is the best option for the only reason he has been in the Treasury for two years and knows the shit is stacking up and BoJo and his circus were economic illiterates.

I have not voted as I have no in depth knowledge of the current UK political situation.

Bojo has screwed up for sure, let’s hope the replacement can get back on track.

The people who will choose the next UK PM, 150,000 Conservative Party members, their average age is 72.

And 97% white and the majority are male. Rishi has no chance. Penny or Liz it is then.

Sunak sounds Vulcan , so I voted for him. After the insanity of Johnson I believe the logic of a Vulcan mind would be an asset.
Sorry but other than that I know very little about British politics.

Are you really too stupid to understand a simple sentence?
SA said quite clearly 'out of', not "into".

    Jaysus . . .

His narrative conveniently ignored the reason we had to extract ourselves, the fact Labour under that scum Blair put us in there in the first place. I was merely ensuring it wasn't a one sided statement.

Haven't you got a Bariloche facebook page you need to update or something.

^ The military had no choice but to follow Blairs diktat, many then and now felt it was the wrong decision and a waste of lives and resources ...on both sides. Truth is Sausages was around then and he won't have a word said against Blair the Labour messiah, its a disgrace that man, if you can call him that is still at liberty.

Much as I dislike the dishonorable way he forced Johnson out to seek the PM job, I think Sunak is the clear favourite to win.

I'm not sure the electorate will be happy with him though unless he can shore up the economy quickly.

    Mordaunt is 4/6 bookies favourite.

The tory members won't vote in "Spendthrift Sunak", mostly because of his appearance.

At times of economic crisis its never nice being a PM that has to make difficult decisions. We can't cut taxes per se but we could delay and ease the burden on business and reduce the green levies which are necessary but not at the expense of the country and its people. Joe public (not Chitty) is generally too self invested to take the bitter pill, they'll hang him, despite what he put in place during the pandemic - public has a short memory and a reality TV mindset these days.

Those are pretty impressive figures for Sunak. Barring some catastrophe I think the race is his to lose.
