I'll explain the UK tax system to you in really simplistic terms because you are obviously oblivious to how it works.

    You work
    You pay tax
If you pay too much tax
You get a refund from hmrc

Fvcking tax dodging know it all

Makes no difference who the debate viewers think won. The debators know full well who they are pitching to and only hope the debate viewers forget what they said. 200 MPs with the vast marjority from the south will decide and frankly I think they already know.

Badenoch out as race to be next PM tightens

    Sunak – 118
    Mordaunt – 92
    Truss – 86
    Badenoch – 59 (eliminated)

The three remaining candidates face a further vote by MPs on Wednesday to decide who will make the final two.

Voting will then be thrown open to 160,000 Tory party members to pick the winner, who will replace Boris Johnson as prime minister on 5 September.

That has got to sting a little. Knowing that was enough grocery money for about 4.5 months for you and your covey.

Oh wait. I’ve seen your cooking. That was enough grocery money for about 7 months.

By the way,……..nice thread. I did learn something.

Mordaunt a victim of hostile briefings, supporter says
MP Sir Charles Walker, who backed Penny Mordaunt, says he's "absolutely gutted" she's now out of the contest.

He says she's been subjected to "very hostile and unpleasant briefings" from colleagues and some in the media, which he says is part of "modern politics".

Walker says many Tory MPs were frightened that they didn't figure in Mordaunt's plans, saying many tend to vote according to what they think is best for their career.

    Hitchens 12 minutes in

His take starting around 26 min is good. Ballots should have a "none of the below" option and if that is the majority , nobody on the ballot can run again

Oh, is that from the channel that regularly has ZERO viewers?

Should be your 'go to' source for your 'hot takes' from now on.

If you really give a feck about the foreign policy of the UK, pay attention to the US Presidential elections. Who really gives a feck who the UK puppet is- and that goes double if it's a Tory.

Absolute truth. Sorry pom, but that's the way it is. The next puppet does not matter, any more than the UK does.

^ Of course you did skiddy...I almost greened you for the Truss clown pic.

BTW, isn't this thread as out of date as switch, seeing as PM didn't make it to the deciding round.

You do realise that the world existed for millennia, before the internet?

    OK apparently not.
