This is why your posts should simply be disregarded. I made no reference at all to any specific post you made. Perhaps its your reading comprehension.

Then why did you choose to link the abridged RT version of the poll? It’s only market research after all, not reality!

OhOh..it's YouGov market research data rather than facts. It provides an indication of opinion but that's all.

Asking who will replace her is jumping the gun. Truss has been in office less than a month. Much as people would like her to leave, the wheels of government move slowly. She's been given a chance of a U turn, although I'm not sure she is smart enough to take it.

There's always a chance this will kill off the far right of the Tory party. A pity it didn't happen much sooner.

Maybe that U-turn isn't so unlikely....

Liz Truss is to delay the vote on cutting the 45p rate of tax for higher earners, a cabinet minister has told Sky News.
The policy was announced in last Friday's mini-budget, but would have to go to a vote of MPs before it could be approved.

She’s already effectively done a u-turn on fracking by saying now that it will only happen in areas where residents want it.

Oh, and she says the tax cuts for the rich was all kamikwasi’s idea.

    What a joke.

The papers are all hammering her today.

^^ I thought she still had a 3-line whip imposed on the tax cut vote. She would need to remove that or risk losing a few MPs.

^ Blaming it all on Kwarteng was outrageous. Just another clueless opportunist.

They are not stupid individuals and I don't believe it is their shared intention to deliberately fvck up the whole country. These ideas seem to have come from right wing think tanks and since these two have no real ideas of their own that is the platform they have chosen. Probably not a good choice.

Sent to me by a friend in the UK . . . who is really not happy with the country going down the shitter.

It's been a long time since Britannia ruled anything, let alone the waves.

^ Well, at least the UK didn't have most of its eggs in one basket. Germany is not out of the woods yet after relying on Russia for over half of its energy needs.

Scrapping the top rate only made up around £2bn of the £45bn worth of tax cuts in the mini budget. I don't think the response from markets is going to change.

There has been a rally of sorts in the £ but the fundamental worry that Truss/Kwarteng do not know what they are doing remains.

Reducing taxation while borrowing exceeds GDP, as a means of stimulating growth after the triple shock of Brexit, Covid and energy cost inflation, is economic illiteracy and, perhaps more worrying, evidence it’s architects are fucking delusional idiots.

A Labour government would see £ back to $1.35 and 50 baht.

Until then, it will be another lost two years of recession, conflict and Brexitory fuckwittery.

We might have another bank scandal on our hands.

Credit Suisse could be on a collapse of Lehman Brothers proportions.

Bank shares dropped significantly this morning.
