    Real Democracy on the Way!

China Says It Will Work With Russia to Promote ‘Real Democracy’

    Bloomberg News June 1, 2022, 5:28 PM GMT+7

China’s top diplomat said Beijing will work with Moscow to promote “real democracy,” reaffirming his country’s ties with Russia.
“China is willing to work together with Russia and the global community to promote real democracy based on nations’ own conditions,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Wednesday via video link at a China-Russia think tank summit, according to a government statement. The event was attended by his Russian counter part Sergei Lavrov.

Wang added that “monopolizing” the definition of democracy and human rights to influence other nations was a tactic “doomed to fail,” in a veiled swipe at the United States, which has led a global chorus of condemnation against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Since then, Beijing has sought to portray itself as neutral: Issuing statements supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and expressing concern about civilian casualties, while supporting President Vladimir Putin at the United Nations and blaming the US for provoking the war by encouraging the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Still, President Xi Jinping declared a “no limits” friendship with Putin on the eve of the invasion, and hasn’t spoken with Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy since the war began.

Without referencing Putin’s ongoing military campaign, Wang said China and Russia should “continue to make important contributions” to global governance as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.

Global and regional security should not be achieved through “strengthening military groups” and “fragmenting supply chains,” he added in an apparent reference to both the eastward expansion of the NATO and sanctions imposed by the West on Russia since its February invasion.
“China and Russia should continue to join hands with peace-loving countries in the world to safeguard the global order with the UN at its core and based on international laws,” Wang added.

According to them, it is a better Democracy than yours. They have a good point, if you believe Government should work for the People.

What we believe "democracy" is, I suggest, is the first question to be agreed upon.

As there are various definitions out there.

Many of which are not one person, one vote, representing a predefined by others, location.

The available choice of candidate is determined by other groupings, not the electorate.

    The ....

Around the world, there are ample examples of different election systems. Who is to determine the system in each country?

Yeah, your stupid idea about letting dictators or kleptocracies dictate who can stand and then rigging the votes to ensure they win is NOT democracy, you cretin.

Real democracy is being able to criticise or remove your government without risking being beaten, jailed or killed.

Go on, tell us how the chinkies and russians are free to read, write, vote and speak however they like?

Give us a fucking good laugh.

Given the nature of his posts over the last 72 hours or so, he's probably gonna say exactly that.

I thought he made a couple of sensible posts last weekend, but this one must surely be his nadir.

OK, which countries do you believe it's citizens, have your definition of democracy. What criteria determines a legal voter, age, home address, financial status, .... ? And a legal candidate, .... ?

I would suggest in the majority of countries "one person" has, a choice/"one vote", from a predetermined list agreed by others, to choose from.

In the UK candidates for a defined geographical area, most are chosen by the political grouping's cabal. If successful, the candidate is the only choice that represents the particular political group that are listed in the election candidates list. There are none political party candidates, but most are not successful.

Some countries allow unelected by its citizens groups, pre and post the one person, one vote stage, to decide the particular election type result. Equally, there are none political party candidates, but I suspect most are not successful.

USA calls it their post one person/one vote stage, the "Electoral College".

You may wish to debate/clarify to us, how, the "political candidates grouping's cabal" or "Electoral College" members are chosen. Their criteria to be appointed.

Some countries also have separate elections for the political parties leaders/countries leaders, Prime Minister, President .... whose elections may or may not be elected by every citizen voting.

There are of course equally some countries elections which are open to illegal methods of manipulation, how many .....

Should we start with candidates who are free to present themselves to the electorate without first being vetted by the ruling party? Christ ohoh you get more ridiculous daily, one wonders how long you can keep improving upon the day before.

Real Democracy delivers outcomes for it's people-

After all, in a Real Democracy the government reports to and works for the People. Who in turn, appreciate it-

Why is China not Considered a Democracy in the West? - Here Comes China!

China is a Real Democracy. The USA (and UK) is a sham democracy- an Oligarchy.
