Yea, says alot about sabang . . . replicates this train of 'debate' in every thread now. Boastful, 'edgy' comments . . . and then nothing, does a Skidmark and goes on to the next thing.
At least Backspit has something going for him, this sense of being a manchild who needs help. sabang, however, just comes across as a crass cigars and cognac wannabe.
Got to be the most boring build up to an election ever.
Whoever wins will be handed a poison chalice, it’s either serious inflation or a decent recession, take your pick but it’s got to be one or the other.
did you get an email saying they had sent it ?
' hung ' is a term used to imply that no decisions are made - this is far from the truth
The one recognised Australian federal “hung parliament” in the last 79 years was the Gillard government of 2010-13. They had to negotiate all legislation with Independents Tony Windsor, Rob Oakeshott and Andrew Wilkie, plus the Greens’ Adam Bandt. How did that work out?
The Gillard government passed 561 pieces of legislation, more than Rudd in 2007-10, more even than Howard when he controlled both houses of parliament in 2005-7. In fact, the Gillard government passed more legislation per day in office than any government in Australian history. More than 90% of its legislation was passed.

Greens are punching hard at the corporations - now the mining industry , medical insurance industry , oil/gas industry , land and house development industry and billionaires will be doing all in their power top make sure the greens are not holding the balance of power
I hope they are - it would be a good shake up for the average australian
But the Greens are preparing their list of key demands for Labor in the event that it falls short of the 76 seats it needs to form majority government, with the party confident of winning at least one seat in Queensland to give it two lower house MPs.
The party’s seven key demands are no new coal and gas; dental and mental health into Medicare; building 1m affordable homes and better renters’ rights; free childcare; wiping student debt; lifting income support; and progress on all elements of the Uluru statement from the heart.
The cost of the policy demands is about $173bn over four years but the Greens are also advocating $182bn in new revenue and savings measures to cover the cost, including through a “super profits” tax, a billionaires tax, a crackdown on corporate tax avoidance and ending fossil fuel subsidies.
^I saw somewhere that they were proposing zero carbons by 2030. Anything after that is simply white-noise, they haven't got a clue and will be relying on equal dumb voters to get them into power.
Spag Bol Nese is hopeless
Ofcourse they will and their lackeys in the major parties will lend a hand
2030 Targets Now | Australian GreensThat’s why we’re calling on Scott Morrison to put in place a formal legislated plan to reduce Australia's emissions by 75% by 2030 and phase out coal and gas. Our future depends on it.
This is what I googled
Still ambitious
FUCK the Greens.
They are the Party that you vote for as a pimple faced Uni Student, untill you graduate, move out of Mum and Pop's, have to get a job and face the reality of a modern economy.
They make heaps of motherhood statements, sweeping promises that everyone wants, but no-one wants to pay for.
Why? ... because they can and they know they will never have to run the country, thus implement their promises and tax the fuck out of the Australians/Poms/Krauts who voted them in.
I heard one talking today about the potential to put pets in a similar scheme to Medicare ... get the fuck out of here.
Don't get wrong, I have solar, grow my own veges as best as we can etc.
Love the idea of neighbourhood battery to soak up the excess solar and re-distribute as necessary.
The Greens are an ideology Party ... but sorry, I live in the real world.
So ... in the real world
AUSTRALIAN COAL IS REDUCING GREENHOUSE GASSES
How, you might ask ... well.
First, be a realist and admit that, for the near future that coal powered power stations are a part of the landscape ... as dirty and polluting as they are.
Australian Black Coal has some of the highest calorific value, burns cleaner than 'brown coal' and contributes less pollution per megawatt hour. (see the end of this post)
Coal will die a natural death and demand for it drops and more renewable sources become available, both physically and economically practically.
And that time can't come soon enough.
But till then, fuck the greens, burn Australian Coal and Save the Planet
---
Summary – Brown vs Black Coal
There are various different types of coal – each with their own properties
Brown coal tends to be the softer and less efficient energy source, and usually contains more moisture and a lower carbon content
Black coal has multiple stages, and tends to be harder, with a higher carbon content, as well as lower moisture content, and has more energy content compared to brown coal
Each of the coal types also tend to have different carbon emission rates per unit of electricity produced – soft coal like brown coal tends to emit more than hard coal like black coal (unearthed.greenpeace.org)
Seems it is.
If there was a watershed moment (aligning with the cross-over point in Norton's chart above) it was when the current Australian Prime Minister in the middle of the worst Bush (Forest) Fires in living history were reaping havoc in Australia and Scomo decided his family was more important and went to Hawaii for a holiday and, when questioned he later espoused ... I don't hold a hose.
Lot's of sarcasm in the clip below ... made me smile.
Good that someone swallowed on the brown versus black coal.
The industry paid good money to get that across to the gullibles
Nice alibi.
All power to the youngsters. Old insane idiots like you and me shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Our generation has proved ourselves "not worthy".
And we aren't going to deal with the consequenses of our tomorrow never comes habbits
In Oz, China, India and places like that they will be. Who would dispute that ?
You have mentioned that
I have a black friend
Will there be a country to run if you continue to deposit your votes with the right wingers you fancy so much ?
Not that I care too much if Australia floods over, become a dustball or burns down every summer.
Except..I have kids too, who deserves a future, preferably not too much shitier than the life I've had.
Like you do
But by all means, Dave; don't let us assholes rock your boat : Fuck the Greens and suck some Liberal cock
yes , and the party that is prepared to speak up about the subsidies paid to companies in the form of outright money and tax loopholes - I followed their how to vote for the senate as I want their rationalism involved in the future direction of Australia
not really - they are not reliable - and past governments have not built the infrastructure that would have allowed us to shut them down sooner
Quoting from the Greenpeace investigative Journal UNEARTHED ...
Referring to Brown coal — aka Lignite
But it poses a few problems from an environmental point of view, which are becoming increasingly troublesome — here is a run-down:
1) It’s amongst the most carbon intensive ways of generating power you can imagine
Burning lignite generates more CO2 emissions than hard coal, and between three and seven times more than gas.
That means the expansion of lignite (brown coal) mining in the EU could add 118Mt to iannual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions – nearly half Spain’s CO2 output in 2012 – according to analysis by Unearthed and Greenpeace.
2) It’s also amongst the dirtiest forms of fuel you can burn
Just like with regular black coal, lignite-firing results in dust, NOx and SO2 emissions. These can combine to create a cocktail of air pollution — which is dangerous to health.
Exposure to air pollution can increase the risk of lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, and heart disease. Coal plants in Europe could contribute towards around 22,000 premature deaths – based on their 2010 emissions, according to a study by the University of Stuttgart.

Agreed. Political donations need to be more transparent.
Plus, considering that Australia is shipping it's limited natural resources overseas, they should be taxed more, taxed in a way that benefits Australians and Australia in the long term.
Possibly putting the proceeds into the Future Fund.
