    Postal vote before you go?

Your local MP would organise it for you.

Voting is also available (well, last time it was) in the Aussie Embassy in Bangkok.

    Election Campaign ...

Day 1/ Albo fucks up BIG TIME not knowing the Reserve Bank's current interest rate and the current unemployment rate

Day 2/ LNP have a field day replaying that sound bite of Albo

Day 3/ The Greens front up to the National Press Club and their Leader, Adam Brant puts a focus on this Election hot spot ...

Greens leader Adam Bandt accuses Prime Minister Scott Morrison of trying to weaponise transgender debate for election campaign

Greens Leader Adam Bandt says Prime Minister Scott Morrison is putting lives at risk, by agreeing with the Liberal candidate for Warringah, who lobbied to stop transgender women from competing in women's sport.

Quite the Australian Nations focus ATM

I can't find any youtube re the Australian focus, below is the thoughts from the USA

Clive Palmer was rushed to hospital after he was knocked out for 20 seconds following a fall off-stage during an election ad campaign rehearsal.

The United Australia Party chairman suffered a gash to his head after slipping from a stage set-up at his Coolum resort, on the Sunshine Coast, on Good Friday.

Mr Palmer was treated with a first aid kit before he was transported to hospital.

'Well I went to jump on the stage and I can't high jump like I used to,' Mr Palmer told Courier Mail.

'I'm now 68. I hit it and ricocheted off the stage and hit my head ... I was knocked out for about 20 seconds. Had a scan. I really do have a brain in there between my two ears.'

Had a quick look and appears he is politically Trump like. The difference being he and his party, unlike Trump, have zero chance of gaining any say at the federal level. 3 seats is all they have so far won. An abberation innit?

They're spending big on advertising norts- the plan is to capitalize on popular disgruntlement (covid & scomo + distrust of Labour basically) to win the balance of power in a hung Parliament. I doubt it.

He appears to have the money to spend on adverts but, and I could be wrong, I think you Aussies will be less likely than US voters to actually listen to his nonsense platform.

Compulsory voting is a pain in the .... Now finally heading back to Thailand May 1st .... As yet unable to early vote, or even see a list of candidates (finally closed with about 1,500 prospective thieves registering a couple of days ago.)

If we have to have compusory voting, we should also have compulsory IQ tests for all prospective and present politicians, so at least we have some useful info (ie, are they even capable of making common sense decisions!) along with a 20 question yes/no answer question list provided by me, for their personal views on several contentious and often undiscussed but important matters!

    ^ Then you have ...

Rhodes scholars Bob Hawke, Tony Abbott, and Malcolm Turnbull (I must admit, I didn't know Abbott was a RS)

Go to the AEC website and register for a postal vote with the reason that your religious beliefs mean you cannot attend a polling place as TFSM of his great noodly appendages does not.like you to consort with fcukwits.

Then you will get a postal vote which you can research to your heart's content.

If you are going to be overseas you will have to sort out the multiple postal issues yourself

Or if you don't want more women in parliament and your local candidates are pretty much all aspiring women! (with babies..breast feeding..or totally occupied with womens issues)... or as my Thai/Aussie wife says " I don't like either of the party leaders, and we will be stuck with one or the other!" then this is a good option. If you feel like you can not make any difference to a very bad system of voting by casting a vote.... Go to the AEC on line web site and go to the forms section.

AEC on line form to complete = game over.

Classic, if you know the players.

The opposition leader 'albo' is in bed with Covid (true)

Penny Wong is gay, hence the deep voice ... I assume she's the 'husband'

Bob Katter at least provides entertainment. As far as the voting alternatives go. Scomo the prime minister warns against Labor forming a coalition causing instability, while his party has been in a coalition for ever. As I said at the last election, the only guarantees are the rich will be richer the poor will be poorer and the homeless will still be homeless. That has been the result of the last umpteen elections and this one will be no different. While politicians apeal to the "aspirational" voter, deluded in the belief everyone can have a house on the top of the hill, nothing much will change until people realise that the house on the top of the hill is already taken.
In the end it just depends on which self interest group you want to run the country. A case of selecting which rope you prefer for your own hanging.
A pox on all their houses.
Meanwhile another sexist, mysogenist attack on one of the female candidates.

Liberal candidate Zoe McKenzie’s Federal Election marketing posters and campaign car defaced in Flinders electorate | Sky News Australia

Personally, I LMAO over that poster. Must be my sexist racist mysogenist (did i miss any ists?) personality.
