(How they can have a fair election when they do not have the Dominion voting machines?)

Syrian election that hasn’t happened yet ‘will neither be free nor fair,’ declare US and allies

    26 May, 2021

US, UK, French, German and Italian foreign ministers have denounced the upcoming election in Syria because displaced Syrians couldn’t vote – having themselves blocked that from happening by closing Syrian embassies and consulates.

The five foreign ministers “wish to make clear that Syria’s May 26 presidential election will neither be free nor fair,” said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Jean-Yves Le Drian of France, Heiko Maas of Germany, Luigi Di Maio of Italy, and Dominic Raab of the UK in a joint statement on Tuesday.

At this point, the Syrian “opposition” is concentrated in the Idlib province under Turkish protection. Northeastern Syria is under the control of US-backed Kurdish militias, which have built a parallel government with the aid of Washington.
“For an election to be credible, all Syrians should be allowed to participate, including internally displaced Syrians, refugees, and members of the diaspora, in a safe and neutral environment,” Blinken and his allies also argued.

As multiple displaced and diaspora Syrians have pointed out, however, they have been prevented from casting their ballots by the US and its allies – who have closed down Syrian embassies and consulates in their territory as representing the “Assad regime.”

Syria has invited election observers from Russia, China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Ecuador and Armenia. Russia has also bolstered its expeditionary force – deployed in Syria since 2015, at the request of Damascus, to fight against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) and other terrorist groups – with TU-22M nuclear-capable bombers.

On the other hand, Washington, London, Paris, Berlin and Rome have backed the Syrian “opposition” – including Islamist militants affiliated with Al-Qaeda – since war broke out in 2011.

The Syrian elections are an example of where you will get far less inaccurate propaganda from the likes of RT, PressTV & China Daily than from the Western presstitutes. Good idea to diversify your sources of propaganda.

^Why? Some claim that any the other media that is not Western connected cannot by trusted (because they are state-controlled) unlike the Western media (not state-controlled)...

Election requested and delivered, with an overwhelming reply.

Syrian President Bashar Assad wins re-election with 95.1% of votes

    27 May, 2021 20:36 / Updated 5 hours ago

"President Bashar Assad has been reelected to a fourth term with over 95% of the votes cast, defeating two challengers – including a former senior official of a rebel coalition, Syrian authorities have announced. Turnout in Wednesday’s election was 78%, with Assad winning over 13 million votes, according to Hammouda Sabbagh, speaker of the Syrian legislature.

Mahmoud Ahmad Marei, who previously served as secretary-general of the rebel coalition National Front for the Liberation of Syria, received some 470,276 votes, or 3.1%, while Abdullah Sallum Abdullah of the Socialist Unionist Party came in third with about 213,968 votes, or 1.5%

The total number of eligible voters was 14,239,140 out of the 18,107,000 Syrians currently inside or outside the country, according to Interior Minister Muhammad al-Rahmoun.

"Thank you to all Syrians for their high sense of nationalism and their notable participation,”
Assad said in a statement after the results were announced. “For the future of Syria's children and its youth, let's start from tomorrow our campaign of work to build hope and build Syria."

Western powers had denounced the election in advance as “illegitimate” and “neither be free nor fair,” arguing that the “Assad regime” was denying the vote to the displaced and the diaspora.

While Damascus called the election in accordance with the Syrian constitution, the foreign ministers of the US, UK, France, Germany and Italy protested it was being held “outside of the framework described in UN Security Council Resolution 2254.”

Why it happens again and again? Putin, Luka, Chavez, Maduro, Morales, Fidel? Not to mention the old dictators Saddam and Khadaffi?

Why they did not let free and fair elections like e.g. Ferdinand Marcos, Sukarno, Suharto, then we never had to be concerned about their %, had we? (not to speak about Batista or Pinochet...)

Lots of countries asked to view the elections it appears:

European, African, Middle Eastern, Indian Ocean, American and Asian, all with UNGA voting rights. Just to get a rounded consensus. No Pacific Islanders, unfortunately.

"According to SANA correspondent Parliaments that will be invited are from Algeria, Oman, Mauritania, Russia, Iran, Armenia, China, Venezuela, Cuba, Belarus, South Africa, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Bolivia."
