The doubt is not in one country, it is in the countries that cannot exercise moral control whilst possessing the means to threaten global security, surely you see that?

The OP title implies a majority of Germans. The first sentence states a minority. I stopped reading at that point and regretted opening a thread started by TD's village idiot.
^ yep BS means just that
You don't know much about Statistics do you? The margin of error for a survey with 1009 conducted interviews (phone or otherwise) is +/- 3.09%That is not the issue, the statistical error of 1009 being representative of 83M or 6Bn is at issue here and surely you cannot refute that?
This is from an 82,000,000 population or 'universe', and 95% confidence level in results

......don't underestimate his world...
Here Einstein, go work it out for yerself:-
The universal formula for the margin of error for a sample is
where: p hat = sample proportion
n = sample size
z = your desired confidence levels

You're just digging yourself deeper into a hole, as usual. I am awfully sorry that you are Butthurt about these results, which show that the US is not as universally adored and admired as you had naively thought.. Just to remind you though, I didn't come out with these figures, and neither did the OP- the worlds largest Democracy survey did. I'm just trying to educate you a bit about Statistics, and margin of error.
To repeat, the margin of error for 1009 conducted interviews for a population group of 82mm (Germany) is +/- 3.09%
But the margin of error for 1009 conducted interviews for a population group of USA is +/- 3.1%
So choose your own hamlet. Numbers really suck, don't they? Here, have a cigar
Actually, the Germany is still an occupied country. And who has the guts to say what he really thinks?
Sure, everybody can speak from his heart. Then however comes after: "How dares he?"
That's why we sometimes read an apology, clarification (I was misquoted, I did not mean it so..., etc, I still want to keep my job, getting roles from Hollywood, I have to pay off my mortgage, car, son's education...)
But when the crimeans, belarussians, venezuelans etc do- that is a crime against humanity, obviously.Germans can air their opinions without repercussion.
^A fitting description of the situation as depicted by Paul Craig Roberts:
As George Orwell said, who controls the present controls the past. Who controls the past controls the future. The US monopoly on news means the US controls explanations for the entire world with the exception of China, Iran, and North Korea. How wise Russia is to the US media is unclear. Russian English language news services have been forced to register as foreign agents (no other foreign news services have had this requirement except the Iranians), and are perhaps worried that they will be closed down if they depart too often from the official narratives. Locating those news services in the US where they can be intimidated was a mistake.
Apparently the Russians believed that free speech existed in the US.
Ever since Putin announced those years ago that the uni-polar world was no longer, Washington has been demonizing Russia. For reasons difficult to understand the Kremlin has tolerated Russia’s demonization and that of the Russian president. By seeming to acquiesce in its own demonization, the Kremlin has contributed to the success of American propaganda.
Perhaps the problem is that Russia cannot comprehend the disrespect for truth that the US media and government symbolize.
Actually, as Independent in UK see it, the negative view is because of Trump's rule...
US is seen as a bigger threat to democracy around the world than Russia or China, new poll finds | The IndependentUS is seen as a bigger threat to democracy around the world than Russia or China, new poll finds
Four years of Donald Trump dings the United States’ reputation
After four years of Donald Trump and rising political extremism in the United States, America is no longer the beacon of democracy it once was. At least according to a new poll that has found the US is perceived as a bigger threat to democracy than Russia and China.
The survey was conducted between February and April, so the results may have been stained by the reputation left by Mr Trump. The survey did, however, acknowledge that the US’ reputation was improving since Mr Trump left office.
It was a poll and polls depend much more on the questions than the statistical results.
The influence of Trump has reduced the worldwide trust in USA. Post Trump the trust in the USA is improving. That's about it, apart from half the polled thinking that economic inequality is a danger to democracy.
The polling was about the US threat, wasn't it? And when Trump was the only POTUS after WW2 who did not start any war and wanted to speak with many adversaries? (what was his main problem anyway)
Unlike Biden who has set up his staff with warmongers, most of them engaged during Obama/Biden when so many wars started, now immediately threatening with wars, sending arms to Russia.
And when the survey was conducted between February and April,
And the world knows about the Freedom of Expression from the last months, beside what the world holds about the elections,
So, where is the logic that:
???
^ I was just paraphrasing the article
The Germans are surely extremely positively excited about the "Vertrauen" in USA when Blinken just let them kindly know what the other before him about the Nord Stream2...
