    Russian partial mobilization numbers revealed

More than 200,000 have joined the Russian army since the call-up began, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said.

"Russia’s partial mobilization plans are already more than two-thirds complete, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced during a conference call on Tuesday. It comes almost two weeks after President Vladimir Putin called to bolster the military amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The defense chief said that over 200,000 persons have so far been added to the Russian Armed Forces, all of whom are now undergoing the necessary training.

Shoigu has instructed relevant officials to provide the mobilized recruits with all necessary equipment and deploy them to military positions.

The minister added that there is also a significant number of volunteers showing up at the military commissariats seeking to join the army, and stressed that it is “extremely important” to assess each appeal carefully and to not reject anyone unless there are serious reasons to.

He also explained that those who have been called into service in the past two weeks will only be sent to take part in Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine after they finish training and develop combat coordination with units that are already on the ground.

In order to speed up the training process, the minister has ordered commanders to provide fresh recruits with additional training under the guidance of officers with combat experience.

Furthermore, the ministry announced that conscripts who fall under the upcoming draft, which will take place in November and recruit some 120,000 people, will serve in units not involved in the military operation. Meanwhile, those who have just finished their mandatory service in Russia’s armed forces will be returning home.

Speaking in a televised address on September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a partial mobilization, looking to recruit some 300,000 reservists to take part in the ongoing military conflict with Ukraine which began in late February. The Russian Defense Ministry has since clarified that the mobilization prioritizes those who have served in the military and who’ve had previous combat experience as well as the necessary specializations needed on the front line."

    Russians are preparing for war

A mass brawl has broken out between new recruits and established soldiers at a Russian army base near Moscow, media reports said on Monday.

The Kremlin's call for more troops for the war on Ukraine has led many potential conscripts to try to flee Russia, while now tensions appear to have boiled over inside the armed forces themselves.

"The newcomers were not welcomed there with bread and salt. On the contrary, the soldiers serving there demanded the newcomers' clothes and cell phones," the Internet portal Baza reported.

.... So why is this letter relevant now, months after the Nazi massacre in Bucha? Because the same thing is already starting to happen in the Kharkiv areas recently evacuated by Russian and Republican armed forces.

Already, the reports, videos and photos of reprisals and murders of civilians are coming in from many towns of the Kharkiv Oblast—Balaklia, Izium, Kupiansk. These crimes will soon be presented by Ukrop Nazis and their Western propagandists as having been “committed by Russian and Republican troops.”

To anyone who may think the Brits are not doing enough to help Ukraine, watch this video...

This training program has trained thousands of new Ukrainian soldiers. In fact, the Brits with the help of the Canadians are training all the new Ukrainian soldiers. These guys are light years better trained than the Russians, and it is having results right now on the battlefield.

I found the comment towards the end from the British soldier interesting.

He said that they wanted to give the Ukrainians "a fighting chance," which I think most of us thought that was all they had at the start.

Yet last night, I read that the Russians were on the retreat again in the south and the east of the country and many of their front lines had collapsed.

Like rats deserting a sinking ship.

The communist soldier using charity sites to fund his war - BBC News

However, Bentley and others have been using these crowdfunding websites to fund their own personal war efforts in Ukraine. In November 2014, Bentley launched a GoFundMe page to finance a "fact finding mission" to Donbas, the conflict zone that includes the eastern Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. Bentley raised $2,000 and hasn't returned to the United States since.

Because for anyone that doesn't suffer from mental retardation, the evidence is overwhelming that the Russians did it, just like they did it again in Izyum and basically everywhere else they occupied.

77 years have passed but the practices of fascist, genocidal regimes remain the same. Boxes of gold dentures and dental caps discovered in a torture chamber in a small village outside Izyum. Every inch of Ukrainian territory must be liberated.

Findings of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine

On September 23, a United Nations-appointed panel of independent experts released a statement concluding that Russian Federation forces have committed war crimes in Ukraine, an announcement that follows an earlier U.S. Government assessment, released in March. In the 27 towns and settlements they visited, the UN-appointed panel saw the remnants of torture and executions and documented evidence of sexual and gender-based violence, including rape, based on testimonies from brave survivors, government officials, and other witnesses. While inspecting mass graves, they also found that the Russian Federation perpetrated many of these atrocities against children and the elderly.

Since Putin launched his unjustified full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin has spuriously claimed Russian forces were liberating the Ukrainian people, while in reality committing war crimes against the country’s civilians. In Bucha and Irpin, retreating Russian forces left behind hundreds of bodies of innocent civilians in the streets, and Ukrainian women bravely came forward to tell of the abuse and sexual violence they experienced. And in just the last week, 440 bodies of men, women, and children were exhumed from mass graves in Izyum. In such a short time, Putin and his army have committed atrocities against the Ukrainian people that will leave voids and scars for generations. And sadly, we continue to hear even more harrowing stories from innumerable Ukrainians across the country who themselves have been victims of, or witness to, interrogations, detainments, torture, and forcible deportations to remote areas of Russia.
As President Biden said just a few days ago to the UN General Assembly, “this war is about extinguishing Ukraine’s right to exist as a state, plain and simple, and Ukraine’s right to exist as a people.” The world must unite against the Kremlin’s shameless inhumanity and hold those responsible for these atrocities accountable.

At USAID, we will continue working with the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian civil society to document Russia’s human rights abuses. With our support, these organizations have already documented more than 15,000 incidents, and handed over their evidence to authorities for further investigation. As Putin prolongs his invasion, we will continue this vital work so that the Ukrainian people can one day seek the justice they deserve.

Nearly 90 Percent of the World Isn't Following Us on Ukraine | Opinion

Our familiar system of global political and economic alliances is shifting, and nothing has made this change clearer than the varied reactions to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. While the United States and its closest allies in Europe and Asia have imposed tough economic sanctions on Moscow, 87 percent of the world's population has declined to follow us.

Economic sanctions have united our adversaries in shared resistance. Less predictably, the outbreak of Cold War II, has also led countries that were once partners or non-aligned to become increasingly multi-aligned.

Nowhere is the shift more apparent than in energy markets where, unlike with currencies, governments cannot simply print what they need. Here the web of sanctions becomes a sieve.

Saudi Arabia, long a committed American partner, has established a close alliance with Russia in the OPEC Plus cartel. The Saudis have very publicly declined the request of an American president to increase oil production. Instead, they imported Russian oil for domestic use to export more of their own production. Last week they even reduced production and made clear they may do so again.

China is selling Europe liquid natural gas (LNG) that originated in Siberia while importing Russian oil at the same time. It then refines and exports the oil.

Meanwhile, kept solvent by Chinese oil purchases, Iran has become the largest customer for Russian wheat.

India's petroleum minister has stated publicly that his government has no conflict with Moscow and a "moral duty" to keep down energy prices at home by buying Russian oil.

Alliances that were created in part to counter Western economic and political influence are expanding. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey have announced their interest in joining the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa). The Shanghai Cooperative Organization currently links China, Russia, India, and Pakistan, among others. Iran plans to join this month while Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar are likely to become "dialogue partners," or candidate members.

A French Member of European Parliament (MEP), Natalie Louiseau, has delivered a letter to EU High Representative of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Borrell, demanding the European Union place personal sanctions on all international observers of the recent votes in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and certain Russian-controlled territories in eastern Ukraine.

Obtained by The Grayzone from an EU source, the letteEr is currently being circulated among European parliamentarians in hopes of securing a docket of supportive signatures.

“We, as elected members of the European Parliament, demand that all those who voluntarily assisted in any way the organization of these illegitimate referendums be individually targeted and sanctioned,” Louiseau declared.

The French MEP’s letter came after a group of formally Ukrainian territories held a vote on whether or not to officially incorporate themselves into the Russian Federation in late September. Through the popular referendum, the independent Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, which announced their respective successions from Ukraine in 2014 following a foreign-backed coup against the government Kiev, as well as the regions of Kherson and Zaporozhia, voted overwhelmingly in favor of joining the Russian Federation.

Louiseau singled out Vanessa Beeley, a British journalist who traveled to the region to monitor the vote. Extending her complaint well beyond the referendum, the French MEP accused Beeley of “continuously spreading fake news about Syria and acting as a mouthpiece for Vladimir Putin and Bashar el [sic] Assad for years.”

Louiseau, a close ally of French President Emanuel Macron, specifically demanded Beeley be “included in the list of those sanctioned.”

Beeley responded to Louiseau’s letter in a statement to The Grayzone: “Imposing sanctions on global citizens for bearing witness to a legal process that reflects the self-determination of the people of Donbass is fascism. Should the EU proceed with this campaign, I believe there will be serious consequences because the essence of freedom of speech and thought is under attack.
