    Just watched it.

That's blown a lot of the defence cross examination from the other day. Clear evidence of the knee on the neck and not the shoulder and a picture of the foot off the ground whilst knee on the neck as well.

Pretty poor defence cross examination of Dr Tobin. He has just disproved the possibility of fentanyl causing Floyd's death, they shouldn't have brought it up.

Looks bad for the cops that follow in August as well.

Just caught up on it (the 12 hour difference makes following live difficult - at least if I intend to work the next day!).

Riveting stuff. Problem is, Torbin is a real expert, like real, real, and the chance of Nelson (the defense lawyer) tripping him up was always going to be vanishingly small. Don't get me wrong, I have been impressed at how smart Nelson clearly is, but he was just simply outgunned here, and frankly is working with a crappy hand.

Personally, I think Torbin will have as much effect on the verdict as the original video did. Powerful and impactful testimony, and just the way Torbin came across- wow.

Another expert today, forensic pathologist Dr Lindsey Thomas, provides clear evidence of death caused by lack of oxygen. Manner of death is homicide due to police officers preventing Floyd from breathing.

Defence will have medical experts but how are they going to argue against the last two expert witness testimonies.

I don't think they can. Instead they will have to convince the jury that Floyd was still resisting and required restraint even after he'd grown wings and flown to heaven...

The closing statements for prosecution and defence will be on Monday.

The jury can take as long as they wish to come to a decision.

Prosecution has a strong case and spent a couple of weeks...defence was pretty weak and finished in a couple of days.

I can't find the report but the expert witness the defence called tried to claim that carbon monoxide poisoning was a contributory factor.

He based it on water dripping from the exhaust near Floyd's head.

He got ripped a new arse by the prosecution for that one, mainly because there would have been evidence if it had, plus the engine was turned off.

Prosecution almost caused a mistrial at the last minute.

Im still predicting a mistrial or lower manslaughter.

It was already imploding throughout 2020.

If the media and politicians would just try to report things in a factual way it would help a lot, but they just pour gas on the fire at every available opportunity.

Agree but was it enough to get conviction on the lesser charges.

Chauvin is accused of three offences.

The first charge is of second-degree unintentional murder, which means the person was killed without prior intent to kill while inflicting or attempting to inflict bodily harm on the victim. Up to 40 years.

The second charge is second-degree manslaughter, which is when a person knowingly or consciously takes a risk that results in the death of a person. Sentence of up to 10 years.

He is also facing a third-degree murder charge, which is killing someone without intent by carrying out an act dangerous to others due to "a depraved mind" and without regard for human life. Up to 25 years in prison

If it did not have the "depraved mind" (just without regard for human life), sure. Not sure how they would define a "depraved mind".

    Could be the first one.

Still, will be interesting to both see how the jury is directed and what they come up with.
