Oh shut up Booners you fucking retard.
According to the state and the defense's proposed jury instructions, " 'To cause' means to be a substantial causal factor in causing the death. … The fact that other causes contribute to the death does not relieve the defendant of criminal liability."

Damning. Simply Damning.
'Derek Chauvin was going to plead guilty to murder until Bill Barr stepped in and put a stop to it. So maybe consider that when you defend him. Even he thinks he's guilty'
Has he been cleared of murder 2 yet?
Murder isn't fair. He had no intention of killing this big asshole
Didn’t seem to care he was killing the man, though, did he. Chauvin looks like a right smarmy ass with his knee on his downed game, hand in pocket and smirk on his face.
The man was begging for his life. Even my dementia suffering mother saw that clip and was horrified.
Intention, I don't think so.
A care as to wether he died or not due to his actions, none whatsoever. Even seemed to be taking sadistic pleasure from it.
Let's hope he's in prison until his 60's and other white American cops think twice in the future. Not due to protecting and serving or caring, of course, but because there could be someone filming it and they too could go down for a decade or two.
There will be an increased use of tazers from the incident. Using hand to hand is too risky now
The trial is tainted, because the city has already paid the family and is a de facto admission of guilt by the city .
The trial should had been moved to a different venue,
Expect any guilty verdict to be appealed on those grounds at least.
I watched a lot of the trial today. The eyewitness testimony of Charles McMillan was gut-wrenching.
They brought up the point that the police had George Floyd in the back of the police car, handcuffed.
I know he was resisting, at that point, but three police officers couldn’t take control of the situation and get the doors closed?
I am what you call a progressive's voter. I don't like the word liberal, because there is nothing liberal about me. I am mostly a pragmatist.
IMO these types of situations ultimately hurt the law abiding citizen. In the end the police would do the bare minimum, and worry about their job, and their carrier , rather that enforcing the law.
To put it bluntly , as distasteful as it might sound, to make an omelet you got to brake some eggs.
Police needs to show curtesy , but when a carrier criminal resists arrest, he abandons any right to curtesy , and if things go south it is on him.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
